IKeyless exhibits a mixed reputation based on customer feedback. Positive aspects include prompt shipping, competitive pricing, and instances of effective customer service, with some representatives receiving commendations for their attentiveness. However, significant concerns arise regarding product quality, particularly with defective remotes and the lack of clarity about whether items are new or refurbished. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support, long response times, and frustrations with the returns process. Overall, while some customers express satisfaction with their purchases, many highlight systemic issues that detract from the company's reliability and customer experience.

Beware... they will send you a dirty, used keyfob and then tell you it is in their terms and services that they reserve the right and that all items sold may be new or used... no way of knowing. The customer service rep I spoke to today even admitted that this practice was not fair. They really should at least tell you up front if you are buying a used item. This is supposed to be a Christmas gift... and I received it today, Christmas Eve... great :/
Their "Same day shipping" means, "We'll ship it on the same day that we decide to ship your order." I ordered a remote on 11/09. It's been 17 days. Still waiting...
After posting this review, I was contacted by iKeyless customer support and was advised that he item is backordered. The customer service rep apologized profusely and stated that the backorder status should have been forwarded to me upon ordering the item. Furthermore, due to my original expressed dissatisfaction, I was given a discount on my order! I haven't received such positive customer service since the gas station attendant checked my oil and tire air pressure in 1971. I upgraded the stars from one to five, will shop here again, and recommend the site to others.
iKeyless.com ROCKS!
Got my remote for my jeep and it's USED!
It doesn't say that anywhere on their home page until you look on their terms & conditions which is BS!
I just hope it works now - before buying look around at other websites and make sure what you're buying is a new or used product!
I had an issue with a flip key I bought, and instead of doing their part to fix the mistake, they just slapped a band-aid on a bullet wound. I already paid to try to get their key programmed and didn't find out until later that it shipped without the transponder chip. To fix the situation, they just sent me a new chip instead of trying to do a partial refund like I asked.
Ordered a replacement fob and received a tracking number in my shipment email. The tracking never to updated. I called three days later to ask the status and was told an email was sent to me letting me know the fob was on back order for "a week or so". I never received such email. I told this to the very unfriendly representative and that I was not happy with such a delay and wanted a firm date; if I'd known this I would've cancelled. She then got flippant with me so I just told her to cancel and I'll go elsewhere so I can get this sooner. She basically said good luck and hung up. I called back immediately and got another person and explained what happened and that I wanted a confirmation of my cancellation and more details of my refund. This rep was apologetic and nicer, told me I would receive the refund within a couple business days but I have yet to receive any confirmation email. And the mystery email mentioned from the first conversation- no sign of it, not in my spam, accidental delete, nothing.
This company is a Scam... I will take action through my credit card company if I don't see a refund in a couple days and trust me, they will all know my name at that company until this is resolved.:-))
----- update---
Since posting and receiving no cancellation confirmation email, I called again and asked for a manager. Of course, he wasn't available... He was... er... Maybe at lunch? So I questioned where my email was and why I couldn't some sort of confirmation. So I get a long explanation how they have to contact the shipping department (even though my item wasn't even shipped) and once that is completed, it could take a few days for me to get an email status on the cancellation. I told this new person I hadn't been receiving emails so this is the reason for my request and could she give me confirmation; no. She did confirm my previous 2 calls though.
Just checked my email, what do you know? I have a refund notification with confirmation. Now to see if it hits my bank. At least I have proof if needed. Calling does pay off...
The keyblade I ordered was ok technically, but obviously used. The blade itself is slightly damaged on the sides. I have been trying through email and phone for several days to order a replacement key blade I have not gotten any response (order #*******). So far I feel like I got scammed.
These people are crooks. I called after reading terrible reviews first thing monday after a sunday night purchase. I was told that my order was canceled and that I would get a refund by end of business on monday 10/24/11 Called on Wednesday 10/26/11 talked to Jason who sent me a confirmation cancelation email and said the refund would happen that day. It is now Friday 10/28/11 still no refund. Emailed them yesterday left message today. What will it take to get my money backs from these people. Horrible customer service had to mention the Attorney General for them to agree to cancel the order and return my money. I guess that is my next contact. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ordered a remote for a 2000 Toyota Avalon via Amazon. Remote came, however even though it was an exact match to my broken one, could not program it. The car went into Program Mode, however it would never recognize the ikeyless Key.
They firmly instruct to send them an email detailing the problem - prior to calling them. The e-mail was rejected by their server. They instruct you to buy a new battery - bought a new battery - without programming success. Called them was told Option 4 for Amazon Placed Orders - No Answer. Went onto Amazon for a Return - have to get Permission from Ikeyless for the return. Waiting.
I've never had problems with Amazon before - I'm suspect of that company now also. This has been a totally frustrating experience. I will never order from ikeyless again and Amazon will no longer be the first site I will use for my shopping.
A 2003 Toyota Celica remote was purchased as a gift in Dec 10 (order *******). It did not work and ikeyless sent another remote, which also did not work. The Toyota dealer gave us the correct FCC number and we sent the remotes back. A remote with the correct number would cost additional according to ikeyless. By this time, the 90 day warranty had expired. They claim the CC info is incorrect and will not issue a refund. The customer service rep said there is nothing they can do; we are out the cost of the remote. They have an online "ticket" system that they do not respond to, so you have to call and hope to get through to someone (9-5 M-F EST). I would not use or recommend this company.
On Feb 4, I ordered a remote online. I received it 2 weeks later. Took it to the dealer to program. He looked at the remote and said, " You know this is used, look at all the wear on it." I asked if he could still program it. He had to open it to look at the connections which were all broken. Called ikeyless on 2/15 and told them problem. They sent me a return envelope to ship back bad remote; once they received it they would ship out replacement. I mailed it back 2/23. I called them on 3/9 and asked what was up with my order. They had just received the order that morning and it would probably take 2 weeks for my replacement to get back to me.
I called today, 3/31. They got it, it's back in inventory, no one ever shipped out a replacement. Not a satisfactory answer. The guy I spoke with said he didn't know what happened, but would send my order out priority mail. Overnight shipping is not available for some reason. Should have replacement next week. Hope it can be programmed. I would never use this website again.
I bought 2 blank keys that ikeyless advertized as a factory keys worth $35.00. I keyless sent basic blanks that you can get at any store. I took the blank keys to a locksmith 15 miles away, and he told me that they sent the wrong blanks. I Then took the keys to the Chevy dealer and was informed also that the blank keys were wrong and will Not work with the car. I have emailed them 5 times, they have tried to say that it's me and I am not taking the key to the right place to be cut so I then tried to call with no luck, 3 times on hold with a wait time of 10 to 18 min just to get a message or no answer. I have no recourse but to just send back the keys ( without a authorization number because they won't give one), and file a report with the credit card and the BBB. I have been shopping on line for over 10 years and This is the worst customer service that I have received. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS WEB SIGHT. They will rip you off!
I order two remotes, one for a 99 honda, one for a 96 toyota avalon paid $99.00 by visa card. I recieved remotes approx. 2 weeks later I try there diy instructions neither remote work.So i took the cars to AAA Locksmiths they program remotes and sell remotes they couldn't get either remote to work. On the honda they tried 2 of there remotes still wouldn't work, the toyota had a alarm system that wouldn't allow programming. So I send them back to Ikeyless and requested a refund. They send no refund instruction or no. Refund policy was on invoice. They refuse to credit my credit card back with my payment I gave them the U.S. Postal deliver confirmation number and delievry date and time. They still refuse to paid. Please help
This is a long review but the gist is that THESE GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND SCAMMERS, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
I ordered a $95 electronic key, for which they charged $5 shipping. They provided me with a tracking link, which never showed any records of shipment. After 10 days of wait I contacted their online live customer support, and talked to a guy named Brian. He blamed USPS for loosing the package somewhere, apologized for it, and told me that he will ship me out another key asap with priority shipment.
Well it turned out that he was a big fat liar. Again after waiting 5-6 days with no updates from the store, I contacted the customer support again. This time talked to a guy called Cody Smith. He told me that the person before me did not ship another package or took any action. This guy also apologized profoundly and said that he will ship me a new key that day itself through Priority shipping. This time he did provide me with a USPS tracking number. But, that tracking number never got updated beyond "Electronic Shipping Info Received" for 6 days. I contacted the same guy again, and he also then blamed USPS for loosing the package and swearing that he shipped out the product personally. I have ordered a zillion things online till date, quite a few of which came through USPS, and have never experienced the postal service loosing a package, let alone twice. So here I am 24 days after ordering a product, charged for it upfront, and nothing in hand. So, I am launching a Frauds Claim with my Credit card company.
I am pretty sure the 4-5 star ratings here are also put up by the company's own people. BEWARE. Save yourself time, money and agony, and don't order anything through these guys.
I ordered key shells for my 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser. The original Toyota keys, between two, lasted about eight years.
The two iKeyless replacements lasted about six months. The plastic is worthless. They case just disintegrated with little or no use.
When contacted, iKeyless wouldn't do anything without a return of the keys (which were ground to fit my car). When I explained that the keys were not repairable, they said tough luck.
Do yourself a favor. Buy replacement keys from someone else.
Ordered remote for Subaru, said it was shipped, and in fact it never was, they don't even have one. Said I supposed to get a "sorry" email, bull$#*! it never came. Don't use these idiots.
AMAZING! Total lifesavers. Was quoted over $150 for a Mustang remote from the stupid dealership, ikeyless got me a remote for less than $30, the thing works like a charm!
I programmed it in less than 5 minutes (even for a dummy like me), and the guy I talked to when I ordered was super friendly, I believe his name was Jerry or Jeremy. All in all I have recommended my entire family to ikeyless and I will be using them alot! DO RECOMMEND!
Saved me $60. Needed a chip key for my 2002 Jeep Liberty, got it in the mail from them, only hassle was the Ace Hardware who refused to cut the key. They wanted $80 to do it with their blank. Found a home center who cut the key for no charge. Worked like a charm. Thanks IKeyless!
The final update for 6/24/10 revue: I was contacted by Nick from iKeyless and was told that i got the wrong order.
Shortly after, i received a replacement. It was a correct, but very used in appearance, functioning
Remote. It was married to the car and works now.
So was is a TOTAL scam - probably NO. They do have customer service(damage control)people you can talk to.
Would i order from them again - NO.
Horrible customer service. Waited for days for a manager to call and then was hung up on when I called back. Do NOT do business with these people
