I have been working as a freelancer for 11 years now. In the first 9 years I used Paypal to receive and send payments. They blocked my account and held my money several times, last time for 180 days.
In the past two years though I switched to Payoneer and until now I had zero problems. I use it as my main and sole bank account, I don't have any other bank account. I get my salary paid through payoneer and I have a virtual US bank account that comes with my Payoneer account. Mass payouts (my salary) is processed in 5 minutes, while ACH payments to my virtual account in 1 day. Although you have to wait sometimes 30-40 minutes to reach a customer service (via chat), they are always helpful and any problem I had so far has been successfully resolved.
They block my account without any reason and took 2,7500$ now they don't reply on chat if I call customer service they hung up by saying its blocked you cannot use it anymore, they are real Big Scam, please don't use them they will block when you have big money in your account.

I will say that the customer service is pretty good, despite the fact that they seem to be mostly Israelis. This is, in fact, an Israeli-American business. On that note, this company deserves to suffer financial horror. It is a vile criminal organization. They cut a deal with Birthright to handle the deposits. You need to pay $250 to get a spot on the trip, and this will be refunded... except it isnt. You get it back on a Payoneer card, and everything has an associated fee. To withdraw from an ATM, its a 3% fee. Nevermind that you cant get $10 bills at most ATMs (somehow Israel has managed to figure out this option, and most banks offer a wide range of notes).
It turns out I never actually got the card, it was lost in the mail. Finally, I get an email saying my card is about to be deactivated or something, and I respond to say I never got one. Eventually, one is sent, and I find out that most of the balance was eaten up in fees. I called back to say this is illegal (it is, but they funnel it via a bunch of shell corporations in Belize to dodge that). Finally, they relented and offered to give half back. No! You cannot charge me for what I did not have access to. A few minutes later, I was informed the fees would be restored.
So, the operator recommends I make a purchase to avoid the ATM fees. The card actually saved me the cash expense at a recent doctor appointment. I also went shopping. I came home and found they had tacked on a 1.8% fee. Then, the next day, a new monthly fee hit. I was furious, and called up, and they ultimately agreed to refund my fees and added some extra so I wouldnt pay fees on the remaining balance. I used up the card and will never have to deal with this criminal enterprise again.
I am going to write a letter to Birthright, which is a wonderful program, that they need to find a better system. If they are going to demand deposits, then they should take the fee hit, not me the trip taker.
I cashed out on an account to payoneer 9 days ago and my funds still have not be released to my bank account. Tried emailing support only to get at replies and wait 4 days at a time for a response. Horrible customer service all around, do not use payoneer.

This company has blocked my account for some unknown reason. When I called to have the account unblocked, they want me to send them all of my personal information such as name, address, ss#, and DOB. I find this very disturbing when I have already provided you with name, card# and address verification. Why do I need to give you additional personal information? Also, I had a balance on the card, that has now depleted because they said that there are fees. THIS COMPANY IS A MAJOR RIP OFF!
After two years of using Payoneer, and having regular, decent transactions, Payoneer blocked my account two months ago, without any explanation or given reason. Every attempt I've made to figure out what has happened, on live chat, ended unsuccessfully, with an explanation that they will contact me by mail. In 2 months I didn't get any e-mails from them, and I've contacted them on live chat about 10 times. The last time I've contacted them, they disconnected me before I even got a chance to ask them what is happening. I still have 200$ on my account, which I cannot withdraw. It could have even been more.
I want to use this opportunity to warn all the people in the world to stay away from Payoneer, and all of those using it currently, to stop, because they can, apparently, block your card without any reason, or explanation, just like they did to me!
Stay away from these people. You will lose your money. They were charging me $16 to make an atm withdrawal and they couldnt explain to me wehre their fees came from. To keep sending me a copy and paste response to their pricing and fees page. The fee should have been $3 from my atm + $3.15 from their fees. So I ask them, where did the extra $10 come from and they sent me again to their pricing and fees page that only shows the $3.15 that I already explained to them in the original message. $#*!ing thieves. If I had the power, I would sue them. I keep asking them where did the damn $10 extra you are charging me coming from? And they wont answer. $#*! them. I'm using Transpay instead. MUCH BETTER service and they wont steal your money
I used payoneer to make one time payment. I don't have their CC or account, I just needed to make one time payment to a seller. I waited 2 business days for their reps to contact me for more identification, 4 more business days for it to get approved, and 2 more business days for the payment to be actually complete. When I called them to ask if there's any way to expedite the process, this black female rep sounded REALLY PISSED. But I tried to be nice to her and thanked her anyways and she $#*!ing hung up on me. THERE'S REASON WHY I USED PAYONEER, JUST TO MAKE THE PAYMENT EASIER AND FASTER. That's why we pay them extra service fee. I am never using this $#*!ty thing again.

I could't even get a card, when I finally got a supervisor on the phone, she acted like it never happened before, than I get to this site and learn that this is their method of operations... during our conversation we learned that my funds was not being transferred correctly. Payoneer placed all the responsibility on me to get the situation resolved, which I thought was strange. When you buy defected products from Walmart you don't call the manufacturer, you contact Walmart. This was a baseless argument with Payoneer. First they wanted a print-screen of my earnings, I sent it but it was insufficient, they wanted a print screen of my account page because it had my name on it, I sent it but it wasn't a clear enough indication of my money transfer issues, they needed my invoice next all of the sudden. Its been a nightmare dealing with Payoneer. I know that business isn't perfect. I'm trouble shooting right now, so i'm expecting problems. What Payoneer embodies is deeply troubling. They disregard your concern with a eerie nonchalance that just screams we don't give a fu_k. But the problem here is that they have a responsibility to perform ethical business... but they're perfectly comfortable with under-serving their customers, its evident that this attitude pervades every company intricacy. Payoneer is the absolute worst company that I have ever encountered.
I'm a freelance translator and was using Payoneer initially to get paid from my clients in the US and Germany (I'm from Bangladesh) but was getting charged a lot in fees. Otherwise I was fine with Payoneer but I also requested an invite to use Transpay early this year and finally got accepted a few weeks ago. I can see what all the buzz is about cause I get paid really fast and don't get charged fees.
I sent in the details such as passport, proof of this and that... All fine. Then they just stop replying. I follow up - no replies. No reason for it, I have no payment problems, just need an easy to use payment system in USD. But no, not even a "we're sorry, blabla". Wasted my time and money with this BS. When I see how they steal from customers, I'm glad I didn't get this.
Get a real bank account instead!
I couldn't get my card for 4 monthes by post, so they got me to deliver it via dhl (-50$) and now they block it cause my funds are suspicious... freezing my funds. Stay away from this company! It's a scam!
With more and more people doing business online and many persons working at home for international businesses the need has arisen for people to use international credit and debit cards to transfer and receive cash payments. There are also professional and small businesses looking to get paid by international companies and marketplaces. There are also enterprises or online marketplaces looking to transfer money to beneficiaries internationally so companies like Payoneer are doing a good job.
I must comment though on the fees structure that they have. I think the fees are ridiculously high. Let me just quote some of them to you: Annual Account Maintenance is a cost of twenty-nine dollars and ninety-five cents ($29.95) this is withdrawn from your available balance. A Card Replacement is twelve dollars and ninety-five cents ($12.95). An ATM Withdrawal or Cash Disbursement (via bank teller or in store) is three dollars and fifteen cents ($3.15) per transaction. Whenever you request a withdrawal and it is declined you pay one dollar ($1.00) An asterisk is placed at the bottom of their fee structure to make you aware of the fact that there is a fee for transactions originated in a country outside of the country of issuance OR in a currency different than the card currency above all fees assessed by MasterCard, the one that I have. I do hope there are no more fees Payoneer.
I mean what do you really get at the end of the day. I am not really bashing Payoneer because they really delivered the card to me in record time. I have not used the service yet, so I am yet to see what they really offer but, come on Payoneer do better than that with the fees. This is an economically hard time and we need some of the money too. Isn't that the reason we do all we can to make a living, and the reason we need businesses like yours to help you to stay in the marketplace too? Please leave some of it in our pockets Payoneer and review your fee structures. Thanks.

I would advise that people DO NOT do business with Payoneer. I used their service to receive $38. Signed up but no card arrived - They tried telling me that I'd lost it and have to pay $12 for a new one. After some arguing they agreed to send out a new card. Card arrived, I transferred the $38 but this cost me $5. BUT THEN (because it's cleverly hidden in their Terms & conditions) they charged me $29.95 extra as an "annual account fee" and I received a mere $2.95 of my $38 - Thanks a lot Payoneer, you misleading thieves.
Just what I needed for my international business. Easy to work with. Their customer service is great, and quick in responses. Fees are minimum, just 1% to transfer to US Account.
