Ahh, here's another one... plenty of negative reviews for StackSocial and yet I've only had good experiences.
The items I bought (which were all hard goods) were "promoted" and "on special" and I paid less than I would have if I'd bought them elsewhere. The information given was correct, and the quality of the items was better than I'd expected. Shipping did take just slightly longer than if I'd ordered through Amazon, but only by a day or two.
I have been quite satisfied with StackSocial but I'll be sure to update this review if I run into any trouble in the future.
Is it possible to give a negative 5 review? The xCode Developers Central tutorials are worthless. Do NOT PURCHASE THESE. A total waste of money.
They charged my Paypal twice, $1000. 00 gone can't get anyone to respond!
DON'T EVEN THINK OF SPENDING ANY MONEY HERE
Purchased vpn software from them. Its was of the lowest quality which was I discovered at once. I notified them of the many problems in less than 24 hours. They offered me a 5 dollar coupon for future purchases. Why would I want a coupon for more problems from them.
I came across StackSocial and found several of the items offered for sale to be interesting and I decided to take chance and purchase some of them. Some of the items were good but there were a couple that I didn't like. I wrote lengthy reviews on the StackSocial site (on the same day) for two items I bought through them, one positive and one negative. When I checked a few days later, I found that they were willing to post my positive review but not my negative review. Both reviews had the same objective tone, went into a lot of detail, and explained why I liked or didn't like the particular product. Censorship of a negative review is unacceptable and seriously damages the credibility of this site. For this reason I cannot recommend this site and urge others to beware.
My first and last experience with Stacksocial is a complete disaster. The product is a digital code for Wolfenstein: The New Order that has already released. That's right it's digital which means all I need for them to do is send me a code and I'd be happy.
On their site it says you will receive the code by 5/20 11:59PST yet I still don't have the code I spent 50 bucks on.
Starting to think I was scammed and should report this charge to my bank...
The star should be less than zero. Ordered an iphone case. Paid my money and after 3 months nothing. Sent email because they don't provide a phone number and got a bunch of excuses like the address was wrong. Sent address twice and they kept putting my postal code after my home address so they could claim that it was the wrong address. Sent a bogus tracking number somewhere out of mayalisia. Calling credit company and filing a formal complaing. Stay away, STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this bogus site.
Terrible site. Stay away I bought a quadcopter coupon from their site, the supplier Extream Fliers refunded my money but Stacksocial gave FAKE shiping information. Never again.
Ordered 2 of a product from their website - the first product was delivered after over a month of delays and excuses, and arrived defective. The second product has not arrived yet, nearly 3 months after the original purchase. Nothing but delays and excuses from them. Currently pursuing a chargeback of over $100. More disappointed in this transaction than any other I have ever been a part of online! Avoid this company at all costs!
Order placed in early December - charge card paid, still no product as of 1/26/14 and lots of excuses from those responding to emails
Do not buy from this company
Was looking for a VPN and this site had the best deal by far. Overall, very happy with my purchase and will be coming back again.
Ordered a phone on recommendation of CNET on 12. 27. 13. Still waiting can't get a stright answer. They blame the cold weather, on backorder. They are somehow affiliated with FreedomPop. They also doubletalk and blame the other. Don't fall for it...
Ordered item on Nov 25th and no follow up email. Item hasn't arrived and they took money from PayPal on Nov 25th. Doesn't seem to have any support... Don't trust now I have to try to get refund from PayPal.
From an application developers point of view, StackSocial proved to be very unprofessional and untrustworthy. They extended an offer to promote my product, then retracted it. When I stated the potential sales, they again agreed to run a promotion, saying "Let's do it!"
The promotion date was scheduled to take place 3 months after StackSocial initially contacted me. The week before the promotion was to start, they delayed the promotion by a week because they were "extremely busy" launching a more profitable bundle. Finally, the DAY the promotion was supposed to launch, they canceled it, leaving me with no promotion on the day I was releasing a new version of my software.
Ultimately, StackSocial wasted a lot of my time and cost me thousands of dollars in lost revenue by cancelling a promotion that I had prepared for for 3 months. When I finally called them out on the matter, they showed me a copy of our agreement and said. "Look here... we (StackSocial) never actually signed it."
Given my experience with StackSocial, I would recommend finding a more reputable company to promote your product. If you go with StackSocial you run a very real risk of being cancelled at the last minute and according to their whim.
Answer: It took a long time and the intervention of PayPal, but I got a refund--finally--for an item that was never delivered (because it was never sent.) The range of scores for this business makes me wonder why some people get good service and others are ignored--even defrauded.
Answer: They don't want to interact with anyone. You'll get these ridiculous emails from their "Support Heroes" team. They are all cut and paste nonsense, and they deny any responsibility for their vendors. I was only able to get action by working with my credit card company to reverse the charges because of the scam they pulled (item they advertised was not what they actually sold). As a precaution, I also advised my credit card company to automatically deny charges from them. My advice is to NEVER risk buying from them. It's like your mama always told you: "If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't."
Answer: Hi Humberto, We would love to help you on this. Please contact us at https://support.stackcommerce.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Answer: I responded to an ad. Very stupid of me, and i will never do that again!
Answer: They have no customer service, just form letters. No matter how often you email them, you will get no response that makes sense. They have no way of contacting them except emails.
Answer: Clearly playing numbers game. Probably making their own positive reviews. No one stopping them. Internet scammers.
