Right from the first contact with MaxSold regarding my interest in hosting a "Seller Managed" online auction, MaxSold representatives were available to assist, encourage and support me through every step of the process. Every person with whom I spoke (and there were many throughout the time it took for me to collect all the items I wanted to sell, separate into 'lots', photograph, and catalogue in the MaxSold app) proved to be a capable, friendly, knowledgeable coach who left me excited about MaxSold and motivated about my upcoming sale event — to the extent that I was able to have the sale a week earlier than the tentative date stated in my contract! Am more than happy with the results and would definitely consider selling through MaxSold again.

I have only had opportunity to bid on 2 auctions in my area in Colorado as I don't drive very far. Both times I was very happy with the items purchased and the staff on site. I do understand when someone is frustrated and upset because their item was taken by another person and I can see how this could happen on occasion as the last auction I was in the last time slot to pick up my item and as I went up to the house the garage was wide open with no staff watching. When I went to door a staff member went with me to garage and was upset to see the door open and immediately called to the person who was suppose to be supervising that area. They said they had just helped someone carry an item to their vehicle (which they are not required to do). She told him he was not to leave the garage without another employee taking over and she then made sure my items were complete (I was buying some tools) and apologized that I found the garage unsupervised. I felt that they were very aware of the fact that things could go missing and were not prepared to let a staff member just leave their post. I always watch for more auctions in my area and am looking forward to future dealings with MaxSold.
I have had quite a few winning bids with Maxsold, I have been very happy with all my items that I have won. All the people that I have dealt with have been very helpful and friendly. If I had an issue it was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I definately would recommend Maxsold. It's fun and easy and looking forward to bidding in another local auction.

I have made several purchases through max sold. I have been able to get a great deal in all the items that I have purchased. It is an auction site and people do get carried away with bidding. If you know the value of the item and you do not get carried away with your bids then there are great deals out there. Pick up of the items is really good also. You get a confirmation e mail and must check in with the staff
I have been a buyer on the MaxSold site for almost a year. I have purchased many lots of items that were a great deal, a few that were not, but that is what online auctions are all about. Only once did I have an auction that was missing one item (evidence in the photo proved it was supposed to be there) but they offered me other items of similar value. Most times I feel like I got way more that expected. Everyone I have met that work for this company have been very nice, organized, and helpful. Keep up the good work!

Like Joshua F's review, I recently had a missing item and the way it was handled has left me no longer wanting to buy or recommend Maxsold in the DC/VA/MD area.
I came early for pick-up and found my items had already been picked up by another buyer! The site manager and worker were as shocked as I was that they were gone. My worker saw the buyers leaving earlier with it but didn't realize it was not theirs. There had been 2 lots of milk glass side-by-side, yet clearly marked with blue tape and numbers showing that they were separate lots. I know the buyers, are regulars like me. Why weren't they supervised? The site manager asked who supervised them, no one replied. Site Manager said buyers were picking up more items at a second auction that day. I was told I could go to second pick-up to see if they had it, but then a different manager said I was not to go, just wait for phone call from either her or buyers. No one ever called and the second manager didn't return my call to her later that week. So I was left in the dark for a week about where my items were. Wow, bad way to treat customers! I had to call the District Manager to find out what was going on because no one bothered to tell me. Why couldn't the Site manager have called the buyers the minute they saw my lot was gone and said hey, we think you might have accidentally taken someone else's lot when you took yours. Now buyers say they only have what they purchased. So they have now bought it from Maxsold? I was told - once buyers walk out the door (with my items), there isn't much Maxsold can do. Well, you can try supervising them like all the other auction houses in the area do! This definitely could have been prevented and I see no point in further buying when anyone can walk off with your lot.

I am a professional organizer and I have recently used MaxSold with two of my clients who were downsizing. I have a third about to go live in a week. It was ideal for each as they moved out first and then what was left behind was sold. Everything sold and clients were happy with the results. Most estate sale companies require a minimum value of 10,000 worth of items in order to hold a sale and then you must tolerate people tromping through your home for entire weekend requiring more man hours. MaxSold is about as efficient a system as you can create for the sellers and buyers. One of my clients and I watched the auction while on the phone together and we had a great time watching the bidding wars for a few of the more valuable items and for some of the lots we were surprised to see bidding wars for. It was exciting to watch and my clients have been happy with the results. I will continue to use MaxSold for clients when the need arises.

I love that you can view and bid on items sitting at home as compared to driving all over and dealing with tons of people at an auction. I've gotten some amazing deals on just about anything you can think of. The bidding process is so simple. I have had very good experiences every time I've picked up my items. The team is there to greet you and direct you to your items, which are typically nicely stacked in an area, easy access. The team has always been very professional, polite and friendly. There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about this company!

I was quite impressed how the procedure worked,, very well organized and I felt secure with the arrangement as anyone coming to my home for pickup was supervised. They were very well organized and the pickup went very smooth I think it was great safe way to handle the selling of various items, from the cataloging,, pictures,, online bidding,, payment procedure and pickup. For the homeowner it was a great way to downsize. I would certainly recommend this way of selling with Maxsold to anyone.
