My experience using Glyde to sell an older iPhone was beyond my expectations. The whole process was well documented; communication was clear and timely; the proceeds I received were very fair. I recommend Glyde for selling an iPhone.
I had a Droid Bionic that was in perfect condition but Amazon only offered $6. Two years later I sold it on Glyde for $29. I posted the listing on Saturday and on Monday or Tuesday I had a buyer. The entire process couldn't be easier. Thanks Glyde!
Ordered the iPhone 6 twenty-two days ago, and though their site notes to wait 5-10 business days for delivery and the confirmation noted to expect delivery by last week, it has now been 22 days, and still we have no phone. My email, though noting a human would get back to me within 2 days, only provided a generic note days later that they "took the initiative" to contact the seller. Online my phone shows no shipping information. We leave for vacation tomorrow. It's very convenient that a company with such dreadful service has no actual customer service number.
Easy to use platform. No risk involved. Super features that are user friendly. No room for errors and all questions are answered. Wish I had more things to sell!
They said they "Couldn't verify my information." Then they claimed they might have billed my credit card anyway.
They said they use "third party fraud analyst software that collects industry data to help flag suspicious purchases." All my information was accurate. I'm a real person. They cut and pasted apology letters, but offered no other explanation: Could I reactivate my account? Could I complete the transaction? The rep never clarified anything. Somehow every other company in the world can manage to do an eCommerce transaction but Glyde can't.
As someone else on here suggested, it seems like they are fishing for identities. I've never experienced this level of incompetence and shadiness. I asked for my account to be reactivated so I could remove my information. They refused. Apparently my "suspicious" information now needed to be protected. Finally I just demanded they delete my account. They said they did, but who knows. I wouldn't trust them.
Sent an Android in perfect condition - no scuffs, no scratches, nothing. Took forever then found out that buyer said "corners were scratched". Then sent an IPhone 6. Received three very confusing emails with different timelines, the first being buyer says not in excellent condition. Then a day later, "buyer just received iPhone," and a day later phone being returned. Still haven't received it and it was a week ago. Will never use Glyde again
Keep declining my transaction for no reason. I have made one purchase and no returns. Tried different credit cards, but same result. Contacted customer service and they say it's an issue with the address. But the transaction does appear on my credit card, so glyde is the one doing the cancelation and not the credit card company. Stupid company with stupid customer service.
Hi Jin. I am very sorry to see the address issue. Can you respond here with the order number or full name on the account or in a private message here on SiteJabber? We can help see just what went wrong and correct so your order can go through.
Very bizarre, they suspend my account and cant fix it. I'm sure i entered everything correctly, but they respond saying nothing they can do... so i'm somehow blacklisted?
I sent them the order information, so lets see what they do
Hi Mike. I am very sorry about the account hold. I can check to see what may have gone wrong with the order and open your account back up to try this transaction again. Can you tell me the order number here? Thanks and we apologize for the hassle.
Basically what they do is offer you the smallest amount possible for a phone, then mail you a box and label to ship it in. I could have sold for a lot more on eBay and it wouldn't have taken as long. The box took over a week to arrive and then another week to get to the buyer. And I'm still unsure if I will get paid. I can see how easy it would be for something to go wrong for both buyers and sellers. Never again.
Hi Ami. I'm very sorry to hear about the shipping times in each case. Please rest assured that you are protected by Glyde's Transaction Policies and we will notify you about payment within 3 days of delivery to the buyer. We monitor the marketplace to ensure that it is reliable for buyers and sellers. If you have any questions about payment or how to withdraw your cash, please email us at service@glyde.com.
Easy to list, update, package and profit. Perfect for someone looking to make their money back with minimal effort
My phone sold in one day at my asking price. The process was exactly what was advertised and it was completed exactly the way it was advertised. The only time I had to get out of my chair was to take the phone to the post office. It can't get any better than that.
Attempted to sell two iPhones with Glyde. One sale went through without a problem. The other... Got an email from them that the seller believed it to be a counterfeit (?) so was returning it. And proceeded to keep the phone for almost a week. Email-only communication with Glyde customer service was awful. Only one communication every 24hrs to solve the problem. No phone or chat option. They said the return delay was partially due to time it took to mail the return kit to the returning buyer... shouldn't a return slip be included with the sale kit I sent to them for possible return? Meanwhile, the former buyer has my phone for all that time, who knows how they've been treating it (if they've dropped it, etc.) Don't think I'll be selling through them again.
Selling my phone on Glyde was a quick and painless process, which was great. Not only that, it sold in 4 days!
Glyde makes selling mobile electronics (in this case, an iPod Nano Gen 7) easy and trouble-free. Just list your item, let Glyde "find" a buyer, pack the item in a box provided by Glyde when your item sells, ship directly to the buyer, and get paid. Highly recommended!
Sold two items. IPhone and iPad. During the process received incorrect emails. That was resolved. The was notified that my items sold. Now I have a "credit hold". No reponse from these idiots. STAY AWAY!
This is the second time I've used this cite. The first time I used Glyde there was a problem with processing and when I contacted them I had to pay ten more dollars than what they initially told me because by the time they processed everything the "sale was off". I went back to these guys because, despite that, their rates are lower than anywhere else. About ten minutes after purchasing my order I got an email saying my account was being put on hold for some reason. I had plenty of money in my account and had orders from other websites that had gone through, so it couldn't have been my card. I emailed their "customer service" team and received an automated email saying someone would reply in 48 hours. I've yet to receive any response and it's been three days. I can't even try and cancel my order or look at their FAQ because my account is on hold.
We have both bought and sold on Glyde. We were very pleased. It was a very positive experience.
I chose to sell (2) iPads and the experience was initially a bit stressful but after going through the steps and learning how reliable the process was, not to mention selling my first iPad, I became a fan of Glyde. I went on to sell my second iPad with more confidence of what was to transpire. Glyde helps you set the price of your device, takes a small percentage of the sale, and provides you with the shipping container specific to your device and with regular emails to remind you to do something or emails to update you as to the status of your device. Glyde makes the process very easy with the top notch communication via email, updates via email, and ability to use your funds as you wish. I highly recommend using this service to sell your electronics. I assume Glyde sells other things, but since I only sold my iPads, I can only speak to the 'electronics' side of things.
Sold all 3 of my old iPhones. Only one was returned for some reason but sold once again quickly to new buyer. Was very easy to get my money transferred into bank account for free. Would definitely suggest you give them a try. They included shipping box which also made it for fast and convenient. Have used eBay in the past but don't like it. Glyde charges about the same as eBay and PayPal does. Plus eBay makes you pay your own shipping so the cost are pretty close. Glyde is faster and easier in my opinion! Give them a try!
My old iPhone 3 sat in a drawer for 2 years before I discovered Glyde. Other Re-sell sites made it clear they were not interested. I got a reasonable price and Glyde even sent me a pre-prepared shipping box. Too bad I did not know of Glyde 2 years ago. I mught have got double the price.
Answer: Glyde is a great companyi did have a bad experence with a purchase but glyde sent out a return label on them and i was credited really quick. When dealing with companies on the internet i use my amazon or my paypal so that way its not hlding up my personal account. At any rate my issue was the person that sold me the phone had sent me a phone that was originally a sprint phone but flashed to cricket carrier when i tried to switch it to sprint they werent able to program the phone and i was already a customer only they couldnt figure out why. When we were programming the phone it showed the name cricket as we completed a reset of the system. So most people these days they jailbreak phones or flash maybe another work at any rate your covered regardless but i would recommend
Welcome to the future of buying and selling used phones.
Hi Kathy. I am very sorry about the confusing emails and the returns. If you have received the wrong return, please email us at service@glyde.com and we will help correct this. We know that condition can sometimes be subjective. If you'd like to email us photos of the device, we can help place it in a condition that can give you the best chance at a successful sale. We can also check on the status of the return.
