The company faces significant criticism regarding its dating service, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction over the prevalence of fake profiles and scams. Many users report that the matching algorithm fails to align with their preferences, leading to irrelevant connections. Additionally, complaints about poor customer service and inflexible cancellation policies are common, with users feeling trapped by their subscriptions. While some reviews acknowledge initial positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment reflects frustration and a sense of being misled, indicating a need for improved transparency and user safety measures to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

I have joined Elite singles twice and whilst I was disappointed the first time, felt I would give it another go. Elite inticed me back with various offers. I have found the whole process disappointing, I am not unattractive ( in fact generally get a compliments and asked out locally but have not met anyone I was interested in). So I decided to give Elite another go, very few men have been sent through this time and those that look more suitable and interesting live too far away. To be honest the selection has been poor. I am leaving Elite and asking for all my details to be removed one registration expires. It's a shame as because of the details requested on registration I had high expectations.
I wanted to cancel my subscription as realized I'd made a terrible and costly mistake in joining, I have wrote a e/mail to all 6 addresses on site stating my wish to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period only to find my e. Mails are blocked! I can't get any joy from site, I am writing to h/q in Germany!
A disappointing experience from beginning to end.
6 months ago I purchased a membership with this site. The matches were not what I was hoping for, far out of my geographic area. So I sent customer service and email asking if there was something wrong with my account settings. I received matches from Montreal, which is 5 hours away from where I live. None of the setting I had made as important preferences were adhered to.
The responses I received were not super helpful and I continued to get bad matches. I decided to cut my losses with the first payment and I thought I had cancelled my subscription. Fast forward 6 months later I receive an email saying $150 has been removed from my account, and that I was renewed!
I immediately responded asking for a refund and was hit with a wall of Terms and Conditions from two Customer Service Representatives. They continued to refuse a refund even after I said that I did not want the service, am in fact 3 months pregnant and in a longterm relationship, and don't want the service.
I did not receive any notification email saying my subscription would be renewed in advance either which is a requirement for any Canadian clients.
I recommend staying away from this site.
I don't know what makes this site more elite than Mingle2day or Match but nonetheless it looks like a legit online dating site. I have tried, it did not convince me BUT I can see that it is a pretty good option.
I saw the TV commercial and thought this site may be different than other online dating sites so I signed up for 3 months on a promotional rate. It's different all right. So far I am very disappointed with the service. I get matches but many live 100 or more miles away from me. What's the point of my telling them what is the distance I am searching for. The few matches I have received are totally not what I want, physically and occupationally. I think many do not have a college degree. I have turned off the auto renewal and my membership should end in 3 months. I hope I won't have trouble with them charging my credit card even though I cancelled the auto renewal. I will monitor my credit card closely.
In setting up my account with EliteSingles, I made sure to set it up so that it would not auto renew. A few months later, I cancelled the subscription and again checked to make sure the account would not auto renew. Today an automatic payment was taken from my account which I am viewing as theft. This is exactly why I do not do online dating anymore. Match.com did the same thing with one difference I could at least call them and speak to someone. All EliteSingles has is a form you fill out via email. I want to speak to someone and get my money back now!
They charged me three full days before the 90 day auto renew period was up. When I notified them of my desire to cancel at day 87, THEY DID NOT LET ME CANCEL BUT CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD ANYWAY. I did a chargeback with my credit card company and now Elite Singles has taken me to a COLLECTIONS AGENCY. They are attempting to ruin my credit when they are violating their own terms and conditions.
Poor matches - many miles away - and repetitive - not convinced all were live profiles - only paid up to join after free trial as I believed I had message - these were actually just notifications of other members loading photos - not real messages. Then despite me opting out of automatic renewal they have just hit me for £275 for a renewal I don't want, I didn't get notice of and I cancelled at the outset - and they're disputing refund even though I've alerted them on the first day of the new 6 months and they can see I haven't been using the site. This is their business model - all about renewal at inflated rates ( my first 6 months was at least £100 less) and no real partner matches happening. Ripoff!

If you say anything negative about the site. Like, the uploading of photos email blasts are not real to get you to buy or join faster. They create a false sense of excitement in popularity to get you to join now... They will freeze your content and remove your rights to Freedom of Speech. I did a test on my content that was approved and placed an (a) in a sentence. It was scrubbed and the change was not approved. Once a website decides the content you can post, it's over. The company only cares about the bottomline, your cash. It's a foreign company that doesn't like the laws of the US but like's it's currency. Elite professionals in Hollywood run away from this operation. I did...

ELITE SINGLES IS A RIPOFF. BELOW IS THE LETTER I SENT AFTER RECEIVING MATCHES THAT WERE AT THE MINIMUM 100 MILES AWAY. NOBODY IS GOING TO DRIVE 100 MILES TO DATE SOMEBODY UNLESS THEY HAVE UNLIMITED RESOURCES, ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD OR IS DESPERATE! THEY THREW THE 3 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY AT ME WITH A SMILE. SO I REPLIED:
I knew all about the three day cancellation policy. I read the entire website prior to joining. Which brings me to the conclusion that no place on your website does it say that there is no availability or participation of eligible men in my local area. So that explains why I haven't received any matches within 100 miles of where I live. If there are no matches in my area then you should be honest with the subscribers and give them real statistics not fantasy land numbers that build their hopes up. You know, it is sad to me that your company preys on the emotional needs of people like myself. All about "professional" and "elite" singles who are serious about finding a relationship. You should give your marketing team a gold star because you sure fooled me and probably lots and lots of other folks who work hard everyday for their money. Then we join the "elite dating service" hoping to find "the one". Money doesn't grow on trees honey and I am all for getting what you pay for. I know what quality is and I know a good value when I see one. This subscription is a farce and a big waste of time. I am a veteran online dating subscriber. I enjoy being single and meeting new people. Online dating is a source of entertainment and I enjoy it. At least with the other "premium" services that I pay for with the other sites, I get to meet people and have a social life. With your service it has been nothing but frustration and disappointment. 98% of the matches you sent were at least 100 miles away. You can read my review on Yelp and a couple of other sites I plan to blog about your joke of a "premium" dating service and how you rip unsuspecting people off.
Worth every penny. I dont want to think about the emotional energy and time Ive spent entertaining catfishers on (P. O. F, match.com, militarysingles, zoosk, cupid etc.) I wish I could put a price on that frustration!
My personal experience is meeting, real, educated, emotionally mature and successful men. I would suggest opening up your search distance because 3 of the men I met have their own private planes & distance wasn't an object & they seemed more open to taking time to get to know you (maturity). I can only speak to my own personal experience and hope the site maintains its integrity in the future. If time, quality & peace of mind is important than its worth every penny. No guarantees when it comes to love but its a less riskier gamble!
I just tried to cancel the auto renewal of my brand new membership and they appear to be canceling the whole thing. So it looks like I just threw $179.00 out the window!
Answer: I've used E-harmony and many other American sites, I was disappointed and frustrated over a huge amount of scammers and a miserable amount of real profiles. European sites like https://j4l.com/402007 Are so much better! They ferret out scammers and there are no fake profiles. Ladies are much more high-end, calssy and sociable. It's a paradise compared to E-harmony!
Answer: I wish I could help you. I've been using the contact feature on their website and I have had a few responses (template style emails) but am not getting what I want---a refund. Elite singles HQ is in Germany. I feel like I am peeing into the wind with them but we have to keep trying! Infuriating, isn't it?

Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the misunderstanding. You are able to cancel your subscription within the first 3 days to receive a full refund, provided that you have not sent more than 3 messages.
