The company faces significant criticism regarding its dating service, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction over the prevalence of fake profiles and scams. Many users report that the matching algorithm fails to align with their preferences, leading to irrelevant connections. Additionally, complaints about poor customer service and inflexible cancellation policies are common, with users feeling trapped by their subscriptions. While some reviews acknowledge initial positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment reflects frustration and a sense of being misled, indicating a need for improved transparency and user safety measures to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

I find this dating site very disappointing as most matches do not have photos available and photos are key.
Most people I was matched with for $100 I paid did not either bother to post a picture. I have no control who I get matched with on this site and no pic is pretty shabby. I do not find this a quality site. I left sites where there were those were looking for hook up only but compared to this they seem great. These were not faceless men that lived hundreds miles away at least. And the cost was less. Be sure you know what you are signing up for.
I am a licensed professional in my field. The individuals I was interested in never responded, then several days later I would receive a "security notice" from EliteSingles that those individuals were fraudulent and suspect. The ones that the site matched me up with were blue collar workers and people whose profiles did not at all match my preferences. Although I set my distance parameters to within 100 miles from me, the website continued to re-set to 300 miles. What a waste of money.
Waste of money! They will not let you purchase monthly for a reasonable price and if you have sign up for 3 months, same cost as the 1 month option, and get auto renewed they will not return your money if you cancel. Worst site ever! Don't waste your time or money.
After trying out the app for a few days, I found out that this app is nothing like what it described and advertised.
The app says: for single professionals, educated singles and intelligent matchmaking... However, it's not quite true after trying out the app. Lots of men I got introduced to is scary looking, super far away and not educated or professionals.
It is not a good experience knowing that I am paying so much for a service that doesn't do as advertised or not worth the money.
Agree with the other reviews here. Asked for a refund when I saw there were no matches within like flying distance of me, and they refused. Total scam. 'Elite' is also a stretch - more people with a high school diploma than anything else. Stay away!
I had been trying unsuccessfully to filter matches by distance, age, height since day one- it always reverts to a much wider range which I am not interested in. I was not able to cancel the membership on time (forgot about site) until I saw the automatic renewal-charged me for another year of "nothing elite" (uneducated matches who do not match ANY of the parameters that I set-except for their sex/gender). Zoosk is also paid but has much better settings and matching systems. My advice is "stay away from EliteSingles".
You will spend a lot of time giving them data and before you can even check out the site you have to pay
Waste of time and money. They actually put a collection agency on to me to claim the renewal subscription fee for a service I maybe accessed a dozen times, and didn't touch for months prior to renewal or since. There are few educated people, less genuine people and plenty of scammers. They even tell you a scammer made contact... 6 weeks after the event. And still chase your renewal subscription fee via international debt collectors when you choose to never use the site again because of fake profiles and online fraud. The advertising completely misrepresents their actual stock of potential matches, and complete lack of suitably intelligent matches.
The very first thing you have to do, before you can even get into the site, is take a 30 minute personality test that asks redundant questions. Once you finish that, they want you to answer 7 more essay style questions.
After finally getting past all that crap, you get to your match page and can't see any pictures. None. They are all blurred. The descriptions and answers from your pretend matches are janky looking. You have to sign up for 3 months minimum at $34.95 per month to see anyone's picture.
Their refund policy says you send a message to their customer service team and they will get back to you "usually very quickly".
I could smell that scam stink a mile away. They didn't get my money, but I guarantee you won't get all of what you pay back.
My Match.com subscription auto renewed and I contacted their customer support the same day. They charged me for a month and refunded the second two months. They refused to give me the full amount and referred me to the fine print in their user agreement.
I bet my paycheck elitesingles.com gets at least a month's subscription price out of you.
Many other reviewers are complaining about having a hard time cancelling and getting charged more than they agreed to.
STAY FAR AWAY! This is a scam website!
In the end of fulfilling very long test, where I've stated that I'm looking for someone spiritual, intelligent with good manners & tastes, I've been offered to try strictly religious dating apps, because elite singles think They arenot good enough for me. Thanks for honesty, don't wanna waste my time for something less precious than I am. And ceo of this company can go to Iehova eyewitnesses himself or to hell. Just I'm an impulsive artist. Oopsies, hope this company will become bankrupt soon, God please
I am convinced that most of the profiles of men on this site are fake. After more than 300 hundred matches they sent me, I received contact from only 2, and one of those was a scammer! I have sent messages or smiles to nearly 60 of those so called matches and have received ZERO response. Furthermore, I can monitor who is looking at my profile, and there have been less than 25 who have actually clicked on my profile to open it.
Don't waste your money or your time!
Big scam!
Majority of matches are people with less then a 4 year college degree.
Department store clerks, receptionists, etc. are the norm.
Quite frankly "highly educated" means masters degree or higher. Their advertisements are bogus.
That said there are a few educated people, but I would say 20%.

Most of the profiles are not active or fake. Don't waste your time and money on their terrible service.
Complete bull sh t worst site... Wasting my time... angry.
Requires filling 1 hour forms and then say - pay money - or no access...
A friend put her profile ONLY on Match.com. A guy that was on Match AND Elitesingles was trying to contact her through Elitesingles. He finally got her on Match and told her that her picture was also on Elitesingles! She had nothing to do with Elitesingles.
And it seems hard to get ahold of Customer Service to get the profile deleted.
FAKE profiles.
Most REAL matches are from people located more than 150 miles from me; who is going to start a long distance dating relationship. Too many daily matches are from people well outside my preference attributes... incorrect race, education, locale (some from actually in Colorado and I'm in NJ).
Two months in and I've been contacted by four men looking for money. Obviously the screening process is non existent. The majority of others (over 50%) are not active, no pics. I've been contacted by those who reach out first only to reply and get nothing back. Looks like a fake profile to try to keep you interested. But if no one responds what's the point. The word "Elite" is a joke. Being paired up with Uber drivers, truck drivers, factory workers is not my definition of Elite. Make me a snob sure, that's why I joined. I can find those matches off a free site.
Overall don't bother... FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION.
Answer: I've used E-harmony and many other American sites, I was disappointed and frustrated over a huge amount of scammers and a miserable amount of real profiles. European sites like https://j4l.com/402007 Are so much better! They ferret out scammers and there are no fake profiles. Ladies are much more high-end, calssy and sociable. It's a paradise compared to E-harmony!
Answer: I wish I could help you. I've been using the contact feature on their website and I have had a few responses (template style emails) but am not getting what I want---a refund. Elite singles HQ is in Germany. I feel like I am peeing into the wind with them but we have to keep trying! Infuriating, isn't it?
