I am disgusted by this website's actions.
I had spent 4+ hours making my account and after answering hundreds of question in detail I finish the account add pictures and such and find out that they ask for payment. No such thing was mentioned about paying to use on the commercial, main page or anywhere in the sign up. They do this disgusting scummy trick of making the person signing up, spend hours on their profile and once done spring 15+$ a month mandatory and the reason they don't mention payment until you are done with your profile is because they pray on the user getting attached to their profile and the time they spent on it and not wanting to lose it. I tried the "free" version which was horrible, almost no matches within 50 miles and all their pictures where blurred out until I pay money for a paid membership. SMH. I really wanted to give them a good try and after putting my credit card on the payment details I got the 15$ per month option ( 12 month membership) and they charged the card all 12 months at once instead of doing one month at a time, I then contacted the support requesting a refund and they said NO. They did something illegal and refuse to undo their actions. I now have filed a dispute with my credit card company and am waiting to get my money back. I would rate them less than 1 star but there is no lower value to rate. I was going to delete tinder for this app and was looking forward to it very much but after this I feel violated inside as I was looking forward to using this site very much. I highly recommend you DO NOT use this site or anyone they are connected to, I wish you the best of luck and I hope you find true love with a company that is honest and true to their word.

(Here are some suggestions: Pure is a hook up app that may be an interest to some of you and tinder is the best dating app thus far, I would give it a try if you have not. Good luck) Pure is paid for membership (they state that before signing up) (tinder is free and usable without spending ANY MONEY but they do have a paid option if you want to pay for additional higher quality options)

As most have already stated, this site has serious flaws. My 3 month "subscription" ended in only about six weeks. It appears that the customers have agreed to auto-renew (in the fine print--and they also promised not to file class action lawsuits). I am unable to contact customer service as the auto-response states my Email / password is unknown. The only option to cancel membership and avoid auto-renew is to sign in to "my account" for a password re-set-- yet after one month, no password re-set link has arrived. I am LOCKED out of my own account. There is a phone number in Germany, as well as a FAX--but there is no E-mail for this company that I can find. Nonetheless, I continue to receive "advertisements" from Elite Singles (not matches) to the email that they insist is not valid. I was matched with "any living breathing male within a 300 mile radius"-- regardless of my personal preferences--anything but ELITE.

Website has many glitches. Glitches were never fixed despite multiple messages of concerns to company. Security risk people deleted from website. Scary! I waited for my 3 month subscription to expire and the company charged my credit card automatically for a renewal of another 3 months for $120.00 They said it's what I signed up for. No way! Tried to get it refunded and again they said No way. Big money grabber and poor website design. NOT user friendly. Shady people on there.

This website is NOT screening the matches they send to you. I was looking for a lesbian match and was being sent pictures of men looking for women and pictures of women who are looking for a man. I'm looking for a woman with some of education at a college level and receive matches of women with only a primary education level. Trust me there is NOTHING elite about this site if you're a lesbian looking for the same. I can honestly say this site was a complete waste of my time and money.

Sure, you'll get matches and views everyday but they do not in any way reflect any set preferences or compatibility. If they are human they are 50% compatible. Spend every day scrolling through matches that are in other states and countries. Can not lock distance preference nor can it be less than 50 miles. I basically get EVERY male within 300 miles profile as a match or 'have you met'. Really in this day and age, company should be able to to save preference, filter, AND remove the creepy guys BEFORE I read their profile or messages. If I delete over 200 profiles and share " distance too far" quit sharing my profile with anyone outside of 30 miles! I can not wait until my subscription ends. I'm going to cancel the credit card so they don't have a chance of extending membership.

You go through a whole elaborate set of profile question on the preliminary which takes about 35 minutes so the computer can match you. They say you are approved when you get an email link to click on. This takes you to an option to retain what you have already done but that side of the option doesn't work so you are forced to go through the whole set up again. I am not religious so I said it wasn't important to me in my partner. I get to the end of the questionnaire about 30 minutes later (whole process over an hour) and their brilliant computer programme suggested I would be better off on a religious dating site and made some suggestions for religions that I have no knowledge of or desire to join. It didn't seem to matter to 'it' that 'it' suggested both Christian and Jewish faith. I figured I needed to go back to correct a mis-type, I find there is no way back and no contact button to let them know. So then I look for reviews and find that in addition they have no members... I wonder why? I don't know about you guys but I'm off to the Synagogue. Lol Oh by the way I clicked thank you to the one positive review on here by mistake too. I'd like whoever paid you to write that review to deduct it. Lol. Thank you to the rest of you who have obviously suffered at their hands. I used it nearly three year ago and dated a woman who I found out was still In love with her x It never worked so I let the site run out. I decided to give it another go just before chrismas after finding out they had no woman in my area that match me I let it run out only to find there was this auto renew added to the site which I never new was in there. I rang, emailed asking for a refund and complaining only to be told sorry but your tuff luck for not reading everything. I decided to do a little test to see how many people had read this change. I messaged 30 woman asking them to make sure to read the auto renew clause. 7 said they never read it and ask were was it to turn it of and thanked me very much. 4 said they had been caught out and not happy about them stealing money from there accounts and 3 missed reading it and no replies from the rest. 4 of the 7 had re messaged me asking were do they find it to turn it off. I also emailed elite to change the way this is done maybe and email warning people that moneys are about to be taken from or accounts and was told they should read the contract. Do the maths they are ripping of people by the thousands of dollars because they missed reading one clause. You are suppose to be there to help us find a partner not rip us of fix it elite. PS I tried to right on my profile for people to check there auto renew and they refused to print it

Make sure you read genuine reviews of these criminals, not the ones they produce in glossy magazines and websites.
Ethical companies clearly explain how to cancel the contract and remind you when auto renewal is about to happen, easy things to do. This outfit make cancellation as difficult as possible and there is no warning of auto renewal. That is their business plan; scam the customers. Even if you manage to cancel they still auto renew and take more money from your account. How are they still in business?

Reporting them to Netsafe NZ. No way of cancelling membership... Their pages on how to unsubscribe is a front. It is impossible to do this electronically. They took a year's subscription from me when I only signed for a months trial. They took more from me (despite instructions from me to my bank not to do this). I tried 3 day cancellation but found it impossible to contact them. Do not sign up!

Please, if you are considering dating sites, DO NOT USE THIS ELITE SINGLES. Dating is hard. This site makes it worse by taking all of your money and promising results it will not deliver on. Please read the 'real' reviews and not the ones Elite singles are paying for. Everyone is disappointed by every part of their experience with this site. It's more like a scam, it really, really is. There are very few users so your chances of meeting someone are minute. It is extremely expensive. They just continue to take your money and the ease of use is extremely bad. Seriously THE WORST DATING SITE IN AUSTRALIA. Avoid this site at all costs. I think it's very sad that a company would take advantage of people who are looking for a good dating site. Shame on Elite Singles. Shame, shame, shame.

I'm an educated and successful young woman who recently thought using a dating service would be helpful.

I signed up for EliteSingles, a dating resource that looked promising. Not like those other hook up apps that I didn't want because I was looking for a real relationship.

EliteSingles had me sign up and answer a very detailed personality quiz that took quite a bit of time to complete. I instantly started receiving matches and it said I was receiving messages but in order to see the messages I had to sign up and pay for the service.

I signed up, and chose to try it out for 39.95 per month, cancel at any time.

A few days later I check my credit card balance and there's a charge for $239.40.

No where did it say I would be charged for an entire year at once during sign up!

EliteSingles was absolutely useless. I matched me with people that were on the other side of the country and at a snails pace so you're charged before you realize it's so BAD.

Save yourself and DO NOT USE EliteSingles, they're misleading fraudsters that only want quick cash for their absolutely terrible dating site.

I am single and sure want to change that so I joined several dating sites (Mingle2day, eHarmony, Tinder and EliteSingles). I wouldn't consider myself intellectual or extra-smart and educated or anything like that but decided to give it a try. Not bad at all, in my opinion! Seems like a decent dating site but in my personal opinion, I prefer Mingle2day and as a second pick eHarmony. Still, seems legit to me, no complants. Just was't my type of site I guess

Sign-up process is misleading, says there is a free option but if it is there I couldn't see it. Then gives monthly payment amount but bills you the total term in one payment. Encourages you to use the site straight away so that if you can find the refund process after you discover you've been debited the fu'll term they deny it because somewhere in the small print it states a refund won't be provided after you've communicated in anyway with any other members.

Not an active community either. In 2 months of use I've had about 20 matches and 2 conversations. Will never use again
