Gwynnie Bee Reviews Summary

Gwynnie Bee enjoys a generally favorable reputation among customers who appreciate the variety and quality of clothing, as well as the convenience of a rental model that allows for frequent wardrobe changes without significant financial commitment. Many users highlight the positive impact on their confidence and style exploration. However, concerns about slow shipping times, limited inventory, and challenges with cancelling subscriptions have been frequently mentioned. Additionally, customers have expressed frustration over unexpected charges and a lack of responsive support during issues. Overall, while the service has its strengths, addressing operational inefficiencies could enhance customer satisfaction.

$320.00 spent and never a garment worn. Okay, I admit I signed up for their service, but I thought it would start upon my first request. I finally realized they were auto-charging my account. I called them and explained my perception of their system and they couldn't have cared less. I merely requested they start me over, since I hadn't yet placed an order. The young lady, (who was quite obviously trained at a strict seminar) maintained her convicted, yet condescending tone. I would have stayed, had they honored a reasonable request. Needless to say, I cancelled my subscription and I suggest others beware. I'm confident that any positive reviews are from employees and family members of the company...

WTF!
January 15, 2015

WTF! I cancelled my subscription in writing months ago, but all of a sudden, I am billed $114.00 on my debit card?... I had none of their inventory and thought we left on good terms and made it clear that their clothes were not a fit for me for the most part. The clothes are a little too young for me, I'm in my 50's and don't need the low cleavage, which seems like all they sell. Other reviewers are right, you want something, but it's not in stock, so have to wait. I would like my money back now!

I just started using Gwynnie Bee recently. Unfortunately the move to Ohio did not clear up their shipping delay issues. I LOVE the concept but feel like I am getting ripped off given the slow processing. I used the return notify feature on the day that I shipped the items back. They received those items 2 days ago and my new order hasn't even been filled yet, much less shipped. If they could find a way to speed up their processing time I would probably continue the service after the trial. I am a size 14 and found many items to put in my closet but did have to pass up quite a few because all sizes were too big. I used to hear stories of people using the return notify feature and new items being filled before Gwynnie Bee even received that shipment back. If I could get a new shipment within 3-4 days after shipping stuff back, I'd be sold. But having to wait a week or more after sending clothes back to receive new ones is not going to cut it.

The only way the clothes are worth it to get is if you pay for the 3 items around 80 bucks otherwise don't get to wear much with all the shipping and waiting. I did like some of the clothes but what I don't like is their customer service. They play nice and gave me an extra week but still deny me the fact I cancelled my membership a day before the trial ended and charged me. When I called them on it they now say that I didn't cancel the membership when I know I did so I'm thinking they somehow changed it or something. Oh and they give me a second wardrobe item out at a time just as I was about to end my membership. I think they did that just to try to get me to keep me hooked. So why did they wait all month to give it to me I didn't even get to use it. Just bad business all around. I was considering using the membership at a later date because I liked having new clothes come in but now having been treated that way I will never again and warn whoever I can.

Starting with the good
September 19, 2014

Starting with the good - the clothes and selection are great with the exception of the very few pairs of jeans they offer. The jeans have great reviews, just don't think that you'll ever get your hands on a pair.
The bad - during my 30 day trial I was given a total of an additional 4 weeks at no cost due to regular shipping issues and delays. I eventually cancelled the service as the shipping issues happened more often than not. Several months later I received an email asking me to come back. It explained that they had moved their warehouse to Ohio and hired additional staff to address the shipping issue. Everything went fine for the first two weeks.
The ugly - I let the first delayed shipment slide. When I inquired about the second delay on two items of clothing, the issue was not resolved nor was I given a reason for the delay. I finally got one piece a week later and cannot get an answer on the second piece. Addition, ally, they billed my credit card early and when I asked about this I was, told I was mistaken about my billing date. However, the billing date was/is clearly listed in my account. So basically, the issues with shipping still seem to be a problem - only now their customer service is awful where it had been decent before.

In all, I am pretty happy with my experience on Gwynniebee so far. The way the site works, you browse the clothes, put things in your virtual closet, and then they mail you items as they become available (sizes 10-32 only). You wear them and then return them, and they take care of the cleaning and then send it out to someone else, so you're basically borrowing the clothes. You get the first month free, which is really nice to be able to try it. I've had a few problems over the approximately 4 months I've been a member. Several times they accidentally sent me the wrong item (something that wasn't in my closet). When this happened they would usually do something to compensate me, like give me a free garment upgrade for two weeks. However, for the past month or so they've had shipping delays related to their move (they moved from Long Island to a warehouse in Ohio to try to get faster shipping turn around times). I'm thinking that this will resolve itself now that they've moved, and I'm planning to keep the service on for the duration of the summer. If you want to try it you get the first month for free and can cancel online in the 'your account' area really quickly (I cancelled after my second month and then turned it back on over the summer because I mostly request dresses, which are more appropriate for summer in my climate). If you use this link to register for your free trial I will get a garment upgrade for a month for making the recommendation: http://goo.gl/4BzV8g.
