I went and downloaded the turbo tax app! First thing when I was done with providing my tax information. I was told I would not be getting back no money from the federal taxes this year! I knew that was incorrect. Then some agent he thought he could get a refund of 1700 I knew that was not right. My taxes have remained the same for the last 8 years. I ended going somewhere else. I'm getting my usual 3000 back from federal. So in other words I do not recommend turbo tax at all!
I swear I was on there 11 hours and never even did the state yet. They are missing forms and blaming the IRS. I spent most of that time looking for form 8889 but it's not there, nor do they tell you that with a pop up or search. It has changed, maybe because it sold to credit karma, even the specialist could not assist me or answer questions about the program. They really messed up this year and is loosing a long time customer. The site is incomplete and not efficient. This year was a complete nightmare for me. I'm not doing that again.
Caution! If you use this product beware of the tricks that are used to confuse and mislead you. It'll cost you $$$ and the customer service representatives didn't seem to know how to resolve my issue. I ended up with a charge for something that I didn't need or want and was given directions with a link via email by the rep. To request a refund for the mistaken charge. After doing so I received an A. I. generated response rejecting my request. This company's business practices are absolutely unethical. I have since filed a dispute with my bank about this charge. I really wish TurboTax would have been more willing to resolve this matter reasonably then perhaps they would've been able to keep my business for in the future. Unfortunately they left me very unsatisfied and took my money anyway. SHAMEFUL!
Met with extreme hostility and sarcasm from tax expert who did not give a $#*! about helping me and clearly was ready to be done for the day. See photos for the majority of our interaction, they speak for themselves. Truly cannot believe the disgustingly low bar Turbo Tax holds for who they employ.
I recently found out that I needed to resubmit my 2022 return. When tried to load the 2022 version of Turbo Tas on to my new laptop (I bought the Home & Business version from Costco), I discovered that you can only load it on to three devices, even though you can submit 12 returns (which is boldly displayed on the box).
The disclaimer is only prominently displayed when you try to activate your code. Try to find it on the box, good luck. This means that you would only know this restriction after you buy the product and load it. Of course you cannot return it once the package is opened.
While i disagree strongly with their policy of 3 devices, what is extremely annoying is that this was the same return being resubmitted, just a new laptop.
After the agent communicated with their "Specialist" (who also could not find the caveat on the box) back and forth for at least 15 min, it was decided that I must buy a new license to resubmit.
Shame on Intuit for this and shame on intuit for putting their employees in an obviously uncomfortable position to defend something they really could not logically defend. I have used Turbo Tax since 2010. Not any more and neither will anyone else I know once I've explained it to them. Doesn't seem like a good business decision or good customer service. Its deceptive advertising too.
Its a shame, i have used Turbo tax for almost 30 years. I tried doing my daughters taxes, they are simple, so per turbo, they should be free. They cost more for my daughter who is under 18 to file then i paid for an itemized return. Customer service is useless weather you call in or use the chat option. It is a shame, but i have to part ways. It seems they have turned into a scam.
TurboTax did my 2022 federal tax return, took my money and told me the return was accepted. One month later I get a letter from the IRS stating the return was rejected because it had some errors. Now, turbo tax is not available on Saturday! Rip off!-
Paid a lot of money for the higher level tax preparation to Turbo tax. My return kept being rejected, and on the advice of turbo tax I entered a zero adjusted gross income for 2020. I had to do this in order to get the return accepted according to Turbo Tax. It worked, the return was accepted but, it changed a $ 2800. 00 return into a big zero! I have messaged Turbo Tax " numerous," times asking for help and an explanation, but so far not a word from them. This is a rip off. I could have used the standard deduction myself and not paid a cent.
I called to get assistance with downloading my disc. After waiting on line forever.The representative was not helpful at all. He was rude and hung the phone up on me. I can't believe how he treated me. It was awful. I will never use their products again.
Turbotax charges $10 to add a State Return to their Windows version. But after using the software they hit you with an additional $20 to e-file. REALLY? I'll paper file thank you and won't be purchasing Turbotax next year. Typical greed.
They assume I had the same bank account as last year never asked me to confirm it was right! Now I'm struggling to get my return! Going through a divorce and trying to sell my house! These $#*!s don't help at all and I'm stressed out because of them!
This is my last time using turbo tax. Taking well over $100 just to process a transaction fee. Never again, which is sad as I've been using tt since I started working. Feels like they are just stealing refunds "Transaction fee"? We work hard for our return's, so businesses can scoop up some of what we're supposed to get back and call it a fee.🤡
I requested a refund from Turbo Tax since my taxes kept being rejected, so I ended up letting a tax professional do mine. I paid over $80 and received a email saying the 100% Guarantee was only for a certain product. I would not recommend.
Been using turbo tax for many years. This year paid extra fees to make sure it was done right. Anyway never received refund. Just got the runaround and told to wait another 120 days. Nothing " turbo" about it.
I've used turbo tax for the last 11 years, this will be my final year using them. Hidden fees are horrible also how do you go from $4000 down to $2000 the moment you hit submit.

Online will not work for my return. They refused to refund and let me switch to their home software. They say payment = satisfied with purchase. How does that make any sense? Class action suit coming I'm certain.

This year they purchased Credit Katma and instead of options of your refund being mailed to you or they direct deposit into your bank now it goes
To credit karma. I was suppose to get an atm card to use and my refund went into an account. This was mid Feb, 2 lost or stolen cards later was asked to wait another 30 days for a third card to be mailed. I asked their customer service where they are and Mike the supervisor said El Salvador. What! My personal info is now in another country. Tried to contact Intuit headquarters internet has wrong number or it's disc. Now I get email today that Turbo tax is billing me for doing my taxes which are delayed due to new law passed by Pres Biden. What! Complete hassle and unprofessional. Will never use again thumbs down
I have used turbotax for 10+ years, this year has been a disaster. After finding accuracy issues with my return (inability to depreciate an asset and incorrect amounts then being calculated, $200 vs $20,000 write off) and spending 4+ hours speaking with turbo tax reps and a CPA, being persuaded to purchase the desktop version as if this would magically solve the accuracy issue. I was left with a an unusable product (H&R filing services calculated the correct amounts w/o issue), now I am on my 3rd attempt at a refund which your company continues to auto deny for no reason that I or any of the reps can figure out or solve. I am now done using this product and would not recommend using it. If i had no understanding of the tax laws this could have costed me thousands.
I have used Turbo for 6 years. I finally realized they are charging extra fees that are outside turbo tax and I always wondered why almost 300 is getting taken out when it should be only 180$ they are theirs and liars. And they hold onto money that's there and let interest collect on top of that. How is this company not swept under the rug yet?
5 years in the row and this is my last time using their services. I could have gotten the same services for...$17. They charged me $90+ for a basic job. Now, it's a trouble with the stimulus check that we can't get because "we" filed our taxes with this company. Lame.
Had my Federal return rejected due to improper EIN. Tried to follow TurboTax instructions to correct the error that I found. Every time I made the correction TT would not save the correction. Result was two more failed attempts to file. On line help was worthless and kept going in circles. Scheduled phone call from tax specialist did not occur. Very frustrating!
Answer: Very difficult to get, had to call numerous times to get a response and then there was no, let me help you with that. They were uncaring about my situation, I had to pursue questioning what they can do and would end up forwarding me to departments that did not respond.
