Then they double charged me for part of my order and after about 50 attempts to correct it, they didn't. It's the same inept no help every single time you try--even with a supervisor. Today however, I go on to their site and they say I'll get 20% off AND free shipping if I sign up with their text alerts, so since that sounded good, I signed up for their text alerts because I was mainly excited for the free shipping. Once I put things in my basket, it says I'll get free shipping IF I pay over $100. That was not the original deal. It said 20% off and free shipping. The need to pay over $100 was not mentioned until after I signed up with their texts. I didn't think swansons would need to stoop low like that.
Been buying at Swanson for decades. No big issues except it was slow. I asked them to speed up the delivery if possible they have.They did add a fee on free shipping at times for a $1.79 not often. I checked around did not find any better for the price and quality.
When you purchase from the Swanson website, they will not process your order unless the billing address & shipping address are the same. You can forget about buying anything as a gift or shipping to a P.O. Box. When you call their customer support for help, you will be left on hold for extended periods of time & hope you don't get the rude rep I had to deal with. We won't be recommending this business to anyone. If I could give them a lower rating, I would.
I ordered on June 13,2023. As of today (7/12/23) I have not received my order. Although I did receive an email today stating they canceled my order because they did not hear from me. I did not receive an email asking anything from me except emails promoting upcoming sales.

I get frequent emails from Swanson offering various disounts. I wait until they offer 35-40% off to place orders. I click the link in the email offer, open their website, order items, and then notice at checkout that instead of 35% off I am getting 15-20% off. If you call them they will eventually correct the prices but this takes a long time. They have been doing this for years in spite of many complaints to Better Business Bureau and other groups. Their products are probably ok but their business ethics are non-existent.
I ordered on June 28th 2023 and they got my money immediately. It took them 10 days to get from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma City. I will never use this website again because they use FedEx and it's a very slow process. Today is July 6th and my vitamins are still not here and I don't care if July 4th was in there everybody knows people work on July 4th. First class mail takes six days to get from one Coast to the other and if you don't sign up for all perks they slow down your delivery. It used to be a good company but now they take 10 days at least for delivery, the stuff gets transferred to the post office and comes in a beaten up box, sometimes oil is leaking from bottles because they no longer use the plastic wrap around any of the supplements. The bottle tops are loose, if they damage things with a bottle of oil leaking, they do nothing about it. Today was the LAST time I will use this company, and it is sad as I have been with them for about 25 years. I paid the big fee for 2-day shipping to get around their long shipping problems and they shipped ONE item 2-day shipping and will end up shipping the other 20 or so items long haul, ten day shipping. So they charged me the $14.99 and just sent one supplement on 2-day shipping. It is get getting worse and worse.

Quality control has declined since Lee Swanson sold the outfit to an investment group. You can no longer trust that what is inside the bottle is what it says on the label.
They claim they do i dependent testing but when I alerted them in writing and by telephone that their Coriolus mushroom extract (aka turkey tail) wasn't even a tiny fraction of the potency claimed they promised to investigate but did absolutely squat. A simple supplement -- mag citrate powder -- wasn't fully activated with the citric acid it contained. I called again, they suggested trying something other than their house brand.
I still buy some of Swanson products. I need Naringin which is a bit hard to find so I will purchase it at some point but I no longer trust them when it comes to supplements I rely on to offset serious health issues. I would avoid them altogether but there are few great alternatives. Amazon is a. Crap shoot. I have bought supplements there from brands I consider reliable and received half filled capsules on one occasion and expired product that should have been discarded. There is no longer any consumer protection body policing the integrity of the global supply chain. So shopping for anything is a misery but shopping for supplements is the worst
PS: Do not trust Swanson discount codes and pricing -- when there is a deep discount, their site is programmed to adjust prices higher for correspondingly less savings.
Also when you check out you will be told you won all kinds of "free" offers from shady merchants that partner with Swansons.
I used to automatically drop $100 to $200 every time I logged in because you could trust you were paying fair prices for moderate quality. Not anymore -- now I am on guard, constantly eyeing the subtotal each time I cart an item. It's kind of like being at a flea market in the shady part of town. Coriolus mushroom extract is not pure turkey tail mushroom material and should not be compared to it. I placed my last order Oct 2021. My order totaled 142.10. The shipment was in 3 parts. I received the first 2. I called customer service to inquire on the missing products, they informed me that my order was on back order. I asked that they cancel those items as I would be getting them from another supplier. I received an email the following month asking me to pay 22.14 for the items that were on backorder and that my payment was declined. Keep in mind that my authorization was for 142.10 which included all items including the backorder items. Why are you asking me to pay items that were never shipped? My back authorized only the items I received, which was $119.96. They attempted to process the back ordered items after the authorization expired. Fast forward to the present day. I placed a new order on May 3, and the cancelled it. I called to ask why and they told that I had a balance owed of 22.14 for the 2 items that were never shipped to me. They said to resolve this issue, I would pay 22.14 to clear my debt and they would send out my items or they could refund me. Huh? People get a grip. I've been a long time customer. You can keep me blocked, restricted or whatever. So long Swanson. You have seen the last of me.

I didn't complete my order after noticing they added S&H to my order on the final screen for an order that was supposed to have free shipping claiming that "due to weight" some orders have to have this added. I was ordering 3 small bottles of vitamins (not bulk sizes or anything - 60 caps in each bottle) and they added $6 of S&H on the very last screen where the final submit button is located. I haven't ordered from Swansons for a few years, but this is a text book bait and switch and very deceptive practice. I would have respected them more if they just increased their free shipping threshold dollar amount or just didn't offer it at all if they feel they need to add S&H at the end essentially for the entire cost to ship the product. I ended up just clearing my cart and purchasing a similar product from another website and likely will not be back to Swansons if this is their way of doing things.

Like a pyramid scam Swanson website is poorly designed, over complicated and prices change as you shop even items prices in your cart. Constant nagging to force you into their email newsletter which means constant spam or paper propaganda catalogs with again over complucated pricing that starts cheap but ends with inflated shipping or having to buy itenms you don't need. Example today was looking for Pickly Pear extract, noting it was a Swanson item we already were turned off. Yet we thought we woould try again. Immediately the shopping cart which is way to big for large screen mobile phones there is mass confusion and needless screen changes. We add 2 Cactus bottles then to make the $30 minimum.99 shipping we add a few other items. Problem is when you click check out even the Amazon or PayPal options to pay you must give all your shipping and billing info. Worse the cart removed the Cactus bottles with no reason. If this is due to us living in CA it makes no sense as buying directly from Walmart or Amazon this was never a problem. Walmart has won our business and agsin Swansons over complicated check out, ordering ( the whole online shopping experience us a nightmare and riddled with too much sales BS and needless hype.

This was my first order with Swansonvitamins.com. I found a great price on an item I wanted, so in spite of the not so great reviews I ordered it anyway. The shipping was as described. I actually called customer service before I placed the order to confirm the shipping cost. There was a special so I got $0.99 shipping typically it's $5.99. What I ordered was rather heavy (6 jars of better than bouillon and a large bottle of hair conditioner) so I was concerned about what other reviewers said about extra shipping charges. I was charged the correct amount and nothing else added on. I also had to call customer service and get a replacement for one of my jars because it was damaged. I was able to get in touch with customer service right away and the replacement was sent out the day after. Both orders were delivered within 4 days of placing the order.

I asked him why the 40% off attached and the free shipping was not, it's misleading information for your customers. He said he would pass my complaint to someone, have a good day. That's what I got from their customer service, very disappointed.
When a company posts misleading content, I don't do business with them, and their customer service is terrible.
