EXPIRED PRODUCTS

I ordered a supplement from them 8/2016. The product I received was manufactured 7/2014. Their site says most products are good for 2 years... MOST. But, this is a month over 2 years. They couldn't offer a replacement because they couldn't guarantee that the product would be fresher. Say WHAT?! Well, I'm getting a refund and I won't be ordering from Swanson again.

Contrary to what one reviewer stated, the date stamped on the Swanson brand products are not expiration dates -- they are the date of manufacture. According to the site, most products remain at full potency for at least 2 years after the manufacture date.

Depending on when you order, shipping may be free with a certain purchase amount, or it may be a flat $4.99 fee. With the free and standard shipping within the continental US, you can expect to wait 5-8 business days for delivery. That's clearly stated. If you pay extra to upgrade the shipping, the wait time is decreased. There's an entire page about shipping costs and delivery times.

If you signup for the email newsletter, you will get a lot of them. However, you'll also be the first to know about their specials, and some of them are really special.

If you create an account on the site, you'll have quick access to your ten most recent orders. You do not have to register a credit card, but if you do, you won't have to enter that information every time you place an order.

Awesome stuff

I use jr watkins peppermint foot lotion every morning when I get home from work, i'm on my feet all night (10:00pm'6:00am) &my feet are so tired&hurt. Jr watkins peppermint foot lotion feels soooo good&I rub some on my achey leggs too.it"s great product

I ordered some vitamins it did take them 4 or 5 days to ship the order out. Then it took 7 days to receive my order. But my order did show up and it was what I ordered. I did get a discount on shipping along with a decent price on the vitamins. Only really annoying thing was that they started to constantly email me ads and coupons which became annoying really fast.

I ordered a probiotic from Swanson on March 19. I paid $4.99 for regular shipping. I got a message on March 21 saying that my package was out to be shipped. I live in CT and the package was coming from PA. I checked the tracking daily and it did not change. There was no tracking record for it. I called Swanson on March 24 to let them know and they did not seem to care. She told me to call back on Monday and that it can take up to 8 days. I was not too happy with that response. I did call back today March 29 and sent them a message as well. I said that I would like my package either sent Next Day Air or cancel my order. She said that if she sent it next day delivery she would have to charge me the shipping fees. She also said that if I should get the package in the meantime, to call them so I can either send it back or they can charge me for it! I told her to cancel the order. I have been a faithful and loyal customer for quite a few years with Swanson. I've spent hundreds of dollars at Swanson. I don't think that this was the way to treat a customer. I decided that I am not going to use them ever again - just because of the way it was it handled. I since went to Amazon, ordered my product, and it is out for delivery and I should get it tomorrow. It was free shipping and the product was cheaper than Swanson's price. I am actually getting more for my money. Sorry Swanson... you lost a loyal customer!

I just received 7 items very quickly (it took only 2 days to ship). However I will never order again because all the items have expired expiration dates except 1 item. One item expired as far back as June 2015 and I received it today which is 1/28/16. This is completely unprofessional, unhealthy, unacceptable, potentially dangerous and probably illegal. Everyone reading this has been warned. I strongly recommend buying elsewhere. This is a clear case of buyer beware!

When I'm wrong I'm wrong! After reading all the reviews on Swanson's Vitamins, I went to my stash of medication and found that all the Swanson Brands, that I received several months ago, were indeed 2 years old. Goodbye Swansons!

Nothing has changed since my last review of Lee Swanson and his company. Just read the most recent comments from others, and you will know why. He enjoys his multi-million dollar apartment in NYC, while his staff treats his customers like@@#$%^. One of his latest teasers is to email you "coupons" a day after you placed your order. But don't try to get refunded for the difference, his staff will act like you're taking money from their pockets! As I once suggested, take your business to Vitacost; they have quality, price AND service.

Not only do they have vitamins, they also carry items such as flavored stevia, almond butter, nuts, and so many other items that are very reasonably priced. I have shopped here for many years and I am a dedicated shopper. They offer specials and discounts that are hard to pass up.

Order never arrived

I placed an order on August 26th and by October 7th still didn't arrive. I called them numerous times and wrote to them, with no success. Long waits and not solving the issue. I had to open a dispute with my Visa card to get the money back, as Swanson refused to give me a refund. Horrible experience! Never again!

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL

This is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I placed an order, then the following day they emailed me demanding documentation with my credit card details, full name & address to prove that I wasn't committing credit card fraud! I provided the details, then was advised that what I provided wasn't sufficient so they then demanded a copy of my credit card statement. I emailed them the documentation that was requested & they assured me that my order had been progressed. 24hrs later, the order status was still "on hold" so I again contacted them only to be again assured that my order had been progressed. 24hrs after that, the order was still on hold, so again I contacted them. On this occasion, I was advised that there was an issue with my order as they had lost the email with my private verification details which included my credit card #, full name & address. How utterly incompetent & shady! This company is only concerned with covering themselves at the expense of their customers. They literally wasted several hours of my time for nothing. I've never had a single problem with iherb or vitacost & they have the decency to offer international customers the safe & secure option of paypal. If i'd read Swanson's appalling reviews earlier, I would have run for the hills!

Useless product!

I bought a lot of heath food from them but as per normal, one would not tell the difference within a period of time as health food take a long time to know its effectiveness. Than i started to purchased products that are for lowering blood sugar as i am a diabetic! I found that how come my sugar level went up a lot despite taking double the amount! For a week i keep checking! I dare confirm that their products are rubbish! Now i am returning to NOW brand for help to reduce my sugar level as b4!
I thinks now that this brand, Swanson is a scam! People like me were praising their products because they are cheap! Now i know that they are rubbish!

I am a repeat customer of Swanson Vitamins residing in Australia ( I have made multiple purchases over the past 12 months) this meant NOTHING when I made my last order, which happened to be a very nice discounted offer (hmmm) and all of a sudden they want me to provide credit card information to confirm my address, my card number or a authorization number of the purchase? What the? When i questioned this (as it didn't sound right) they had a response which stated they needed to confirm my address etc and it was simple to do! NO, NO its not and NO, NO I will not! There is a simple solution to this problem which they don't seem t be able to offer its customers residing outside the US which is to have PAYPAL as a payment option! SIMPLE... they are taking this feedback on board( standard response one gets the feeling)
My advise to you all is to look around be careful what information you are requested to provide and go to a business that appreciates repeat customers and does not change its process at a whim! Will NEVER order from this company again and will advise all my referred family and friends to do so in the future...

Okay, so I wrote a review on here earlier this year and I wanted to come back and update it as promised. I originally had some minor mishaps trying to use their online site. A customer representative put the order through for me manually and was very polite about it. However, something also seemed to be going wrong with their credit card processor at the time, so I ended up having to send them a money order by mail which took extra time. That prolonged shipping time for me since I had to wait on them to recieve my money order. Overall, I found that rather inconvenient, especially since I needed those supplements here as soon as possible to alleviate certain aspects of my medical condition. Once the money order was recieved, shipping didn't take very long. BUT, certain things were on back order by the time they recieved my money order. In other words, somebody bought out some of the things I had reserved and they didn't save it for me since they hadn't recieved my payment yet. Understandable, but still slightly annoying. So I had to wait for about 3 items to come back in stock before they were mailed to me.

Those are all of the disadvantages and inconveniences involved with my order. However, I can also say that once I recieved their products I was more than happy with the results. I waited some time to see how effective they were compared to other brands I've used in the past, and I was definitely pleased. The price was very much worth the quality of the product sent. I will absolutely order from them again because of their competitive pricing and quality ratio... But I would definitely not recommend ordering from them if you're on a time restraint as their shipping and processing can be rather unpredictable. That's a pretty major downside for me, but the product and pricing is enough to keep me coming back.

I have a friend who is a scientist and got him to check the contents of my tablets and found them not to be genuine products. They were filled half with the actual diluted product and the rest filler. These people are absolute con artists
