This is a fraudulent company! Do not be swindled! Please save your money and go with a real warranty company. They will steal your money and not follow through will claims. You will not be reimbursed for any of your claims and they will promise to send you a check and have you sign a reimbursement agreement and they won't send anything! DO NOT WASTE your money! Spread the word!

I purchased a 2 home warranty plans from them. One from a rental and the other for my residence. The rental the AC unit went out. They could not locate a repair person so I was told to get one. I paid 75. Dollars so they can evaluate the problem. Then they said the circuit board and something else was broken total charge 450. Submitted receipts for repair. They denied initially because I hired my own technician. I wrote back telling them this is what they had told me to do. Now a week they asked for pictures serial number. They denied the claim cause the refrigerator was 15 yrs old so they offered 150 dollars. So I'f you have older appliances even though they could get fixed they will low ball you. On my property the HVAC broke same thing they could not find a technician. Same process. Send pictures. This HVAC. Was a he old. Now they requested service receipts so if you are like me who gets services but does not save receipts they apparently won't cover you. I don't know if you purchase a home a don't have service reciepts technically with this tactic they can avoid paying for the repair. 4800. And that is the main reason I paid for the service. Luckily I had receipt but it has been a month and still nothing. They are offering 150. Dollars again. I switched to First American. They will replace a unit if it can't be fixed.
I had a plumbing issue. Thought I was covered. Realized I wasn't. They gave me an opportunity to get covered and refine my claim. Very satisfied.

So far so good I been herein good things about the company I will see for myself I just put in a claim so I am waiting for the repair person to contact me now they said any day now someone will be here they have been contact me and letting me know what going on from being up to now so I believe it will work out
I had some plumbing problems. For some reason it has become very difficult to find a plumber in Atlanta area. SHW was allowed me to find my own plumber and have him do the work, of course the plumber had to call them for approval. Happy with their service.
I called Select Home Warrenty to file a claim. The operator was adequate, she took my information and after a long wait on the phone, the claim was filed. The call was cold and lacked and air of any warmth or friendliness, but she got the job done.
They get contractors/techs to respond to the claim quickly but in the past, I noticed that they do not cover many things that they lead you to believe that they do. Hopefully for the claim I just filed, I'd not have to come out of pocket for more than the co pay

Select home took care and provided us with good service. I called them width the problem I had with my furnace and they covered the whole amount.

Every time I file a claim they fight with you, always an excuse as to why they will not pay. All claims are prorated. Just purchased a new fridge for $1800 they paid nothing. Just purchased a new washer for $800 they paid $125. Signed up for a 5 year contract sorry I did. They can never find a service technician I always need to find my own.
I do not know how the people that work for this company go home a night feeling good they are ripping people off.

Recently I spoke to Lola about getting someone to look at my ceiling fan. It didn't take 24 hours before she got back in touch with me about my problem. I will be getting another one since it can't be fixed. Safety is my main concern. I am happy how this situation turned out. Select Home Warranty did what they said they would do. Lola was very helpful and I was able to understand her which is very important.
Even when the representative didn't answered all mu questions, the service was fine and I got a good deal.
Basically if you wait for them to keep trying to sell you a policy the price goes down and coverages go up.
Hopefully the claim process is good.

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
