I have had Select Home Warranty for 1 year and I bought their 3 year plan. Today - 21 August 2020 was my first claim for our AC unit which is 5 years old this summer. The unit stopped working (likely something easy like a fuse or circuit board or capacitor). We have our AC units serviced annually for cleaning and I asked for Select Home Warranty to dispatch Fox Air (the local AC technicians who service our AC's) and they agreed to do so. They even asked for the telephone number to make sure that they called the correct AC Techs we wanted. This is how Home Warranty Service should work... if you have a team of techs you know that are reliable and trustworthy in your local area, then you shpuld be allowed to request them for service. Great job Select Home Warranty!

Air Enforcement did a fantastic today repairing are air conditioning unit after it went out. Jeffery the tech kept me informed as to what the problem was and was able to repair it pretty quick. Diffidently would have them back again.
I called to discuss renewal of my policy and I was IMMEDIATELY connected to a sales person. I did not have to wait at all. The sales person answered my questions very quickly. It was a very good experience.

Submitted claim for pool filter on July 27th. Select Home Warranty technician came out 5 days later on 08/01. Technician submitted the diagnosis to SHW on 08/06. After 27 phone calls to customer service, I decided to have the filter changed myself at a cost of $1,235.00 at the suggestion of several "customer service" agents and 3 supervisors. After 4 weeks of nothing but aggravation, they offered me $100.00 and said have a nice day. I cancelled the contract on the spot. Nothing but a scam company
I have had a really bad experience with this company. The technician's diagnostics are always in favor of the company to avoid any cost to them but you will end up paying a lot to get diagnostics and only to find out that they don't cover the problem. My washer broke in May they did not cover and now My AC broke and blamed an electrical issue where my AC was working before they came but was not cooling. My entire cost with this company is $3000 which they would have to pay. They avoid their contract loopholes.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO BUY HOME WARRANTY THIS COMPANY. When your appliances break, they will find a clause that fits the diagnostics and won't cover anything. They on; ly take your money by giving you great promo but when it comes to real problem, they will not cover.

We have been with Select Home warranty for our a year and just renewed for 3 more. The guy we spoke to was very friendly and helpful and offered us a couple of different options to save us even more money! We are very happy with our choice.
Owned policy for 10 months; they have a Philippine call desk. The call attendant just uses standard responses for any issue. Had to use policy 3 times. One time I gave up getting repair done after 30 days, they always said they needed another 24 hrs to find technician. They said they couldn't find a business to perform electric repair. Second time used there was a two week delay before I insisted they gave me approval to find my own repair man. During the delay they repeatedly said they needed 24 more hours, I didn't fall for that again. To get paid back they take 30 days plus mailing, total of 45 days. Third time they failed to enter the repair estimate and used the, we need 24 hours to get approval. That lasted for 72 hours, but then they said it was sent for approval and they need 24-48 hours. Over 3 weeks for an A/C problem. There is no escalation process or complaint department. The call attendant will not support any request to speak with a supervisor. Once you convince them to get a supervisor, they return to the line and say a supervisor will call you back in 24 hours. A supervisor will not take any step to correct a SHW mistake. Nothing happens at SHW on a timeline that would be considered at all reasonable. Get used to hearing, in 24 hours...

Only six weeks into warranty and SHW has not come through with repair still waiting for scheduled repair after 3 days without a refrigerator.
I filed repair complaint company they provided a service tech from "Arctic Blast" refrigeration. This company apparently claimed the work. I have contacted the repair office for three straight days including texting them from they number they sent a confirmation to do the work. They have not returned my call for service date.
I contacted Select Home Warranty and was told I needed to wait for this company to contact me. I asked to speak to manager was told manager would call within 30 minutes. Its been three hours no call from supervisor. Called Select Home Warranty back was told they couldn't cancel work with the confirmed company but I could choose my own repair service, I PAY COST, they would reimburse! REALLY?
I contacted warranty sales person and requested refund on my warranty.
Am filing with BBB but now see that their are numerous complaints about this company and although on line they say they are BBB approved BBB says they are not!
At least with Sears home services when you call in you a service date immediately you don't have to wait 48 hours to hear from a company then wait again for them to schedule you in.
I am filing with BBB and want my money back I will go back to SEARS HOLDINGS.

One recommendation for the company is to make sure that the information on file is correct. For example: I renewed my policy and when I called back to ask a question regarding the policy, a representative said he saw a note that I "refused to renew my policy". I explained that I had indeed renewed the policy and that the notes were incorrect. It's things such as this that need to be corrected. I have also had issues with having to resend documents multiple times in the past because I was told they did not receive the document/documents.

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
