I'm extremely disappointed in my dealings with Select Blinds. Pushed out my delivery numerous TIMES!
I've ordered several times from select blinds. The first time was for vertical blinds a long time ago. These were great quality but the head rail finally failed so it was time for a replacement. Prior to replacing the blinds I inquired several times about the quality of the head rail on each level of blinds that were offered. Very little, if any of the people I talked with knew anything about this subject and how the head rail types or quality varied across the different lines offered. One person offered me the old saying "you get what you pay for". So when I ordered my replacement vertical blinds I went to the designer line hoping for top quality as it was much more expensive than the other lines offered. To my disappointment the head rail in these blinds was kind of cheap, all rope driven and as result, not very smooth in operation The blind vanes were nice, much better than the material inserts I had before. So I raised my rating a level based on this.
Another issue that was difficult to work with was the packaging of the rope and chain. The rope was OK and I could finally straighten it out. However the chain was impossible to get into working alignment. It was like a very difficult Chinese puzzle to untangle. Unfortunately I had to finally cut the chain to get it straight so it would function properly Another unsatisfactory issue was the provided wall mount swivels that the chain and rope were suppose to work with. I had to cut them off as they were not even close to work the way I thought they should. FOR THE PRICE OF THESE UPPER LEVEL BLINDS, I WAS DISAPPOINTED.

We purchased 45 inch solar shades. I spoke to the gentleman three times to make sure that I measuring them correctly. He gave me specific directions as to how to measure our windows. I followed them exactly like he said. I never told him that these would be in set in a window. But I think he assumed that. For that reason we have gaps on either side of our windows, every single one. It looks terrible! And they will not stand by their product. I was told that I was supposed to read the information on the website at the bottom of the traditional solar shade page. I was never even on that page in their website. I will never purchase product from them again because the people that assist you in the ordering process don't know what they're talking about.

Worst company I have Ever had the displeasure of dealing with! The remote blinds do not work, the wire gets tangled and stuck in the motor! The company will not honor their warranty- they will not issue a refund- they will not even offer to fix them - horrible! Stay far away from this company!

Ordered blinds, they were the wrong size, they refused to replace them despite their FIT guarantee. Also their official return policy was "donate them to the Salvation Army for the tax credit." That was the official response from customer service! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Their products are junk. Horribly made and cheap. They are not able to manufacture a large roller shade without a horizontal seam across the middle of it, which looks silly. It was comical how bad this shade was. The fabric is low quality. They had a great product in the past, but something has changed. I would highly recommend buying somewhere else.

The seam is placed as high as possible on the shade, so in most cases, it remains hidden. I ordered 4 motorized blinds for my yacht. Within 6 months one of the motors stopped working. This company says the warranty is good for 3 years. Don't believe them. They won't stand behind their product. I filed a claim and was denied. They said I needed to send a video of the reason it won't work.

I ordered 8 shades from they totaling over $2K. One shade was missing the end cap, not allowing me to install it. I've requested the part 4 times and I'm still waiting for it. The first time it supposedly lost in the mail, second time nothing ever provided, third time they sent the wrong part, and I'm still waiting after my fourth request, it was approved but nothing has been shipped yet. It's been almost 2 months from the time of my initial order. I won't be ordering anything else from them.

Late delivery by FexEx. Promised on Friday. Received on Sunday. Someone is paying for shipments that didn't arrive on time. I can understand one day, not two.
We ordered all our blinds from Select Blinds for our entire home in one transaction after ordering samples. We laid our woodwork piece atop their samples and it looked like "Moon glow" was a perfect match…. Until they're up on your windows and it becomes apparent that the sample color containing only 5 pleats didn't show what happens on a full sized window upon raising the shades… suddenly a garish cartoon-like yellow is striped across your windows! It completely clashed with everything. Of course there's no returns after they looked into my complaint. I furnished them pictures of our woodwork with their tiny sample, which looked fine and a picture of the shades up with the cartoon yellow. They offered a slight discount which was basically what we paid in the first place.
Another thing I dislike is how you can only raise and lower their blind by pressing and holding the button in the exact middle of the bottom rail. Others blinds I've owned allow you to grab anywhere on the bottom rail and move up or down, this is a huge inconvenience for our large picture window behind our couch. And it makes a large popping noise upon pressing.
Never again will I order from Select Blinds.

I ordered wood blinds and expected to have them in about a week. A month later, I still didn't have them. I called customer service and was assured that they'd be shipping in a few days. I NEVER received a notification but upon checking my order status, they were backorder for a month! I decided to wait, since I wasn't in a hurry.
Another month went by and still NOTHING! Select Blinds had not notified me that they were on backorder indefinitely!
I finally canceled the order. I called customer service BEFORE placing an order for a different blind and was told that the materials were in stock. 2 weeks later, they STILL ARE NOT IN PRODUCTION! Meanwhile, I was supposed to have them tomorrow! This company is a joke! They obviously do NOT have the inventory to fulfill their orders and don't even care to update Ethridge site to reflect this, before waste their time placing an order. Due to website glitch my order arrived incorrect, i call the customer service they do not take returns because the order was placed online, the best they would do is charge me another $400 for the correct blinds, and will not take other ones back for a refund which is unacceptable, so would cost me $1200 for 4 blinds.

I have purchased many blinds from Select Blinds and to be fair, the blinds have been great however, the controller they advertise was NOT what I got. I ordered the NEO controller but what I received was one that I can buy at Walmart.com for $39.00. I talked to customer service several times and while they will refund my money, they are making me pay for return shipping. It's not the money I'm concerned with but rather the fact they won't admit fault in false advertising and sending an inferior product to the one they are advertising. Bad business and bad customer service.
Update…. I was finally contacted through this review by the company and through several messages and explanations, they refunded most of my money and changed their website to reflect the controller they are now selling. I guess reviews do work! I ended up retuning their controller and bought another off Amazon that works much better.

The reality is, not having to go to multple stores shopping when time is tight and being able to order the blinds at like 3am when I have some time is very helpful. The fact that they make it easy for someone like me, who can't measure anything accurately, to actually get the blinds I want and have them fit and make me look like I know what I am doing is such a fantastic relief. Answer: Semi scam. They do not honor 3 yr warranty. My claim, 6418454 was literally IGNORED with non response.
Answer: They won't accept returns. I ordered shades, which the pictures from their website clear show have a hidden bracket in the same color as the shade. We got bright white brackets that curl around the front of the shade and will be very visible to everyone in the room. They will look like a cheap knockoff.
Answer: I ordered on line from Home Depot. Better quality that Select's private label brand and quick delivery. I received perfect quality shades in 8 days. Select kept delaying and was up to 3 months delivery and counting when I finally was able to cancel.
