Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

Bought an electric Ryobi miter saw at Home Depot. They were a great help and kept within my price range. The saw has made my repairs so much easier!
I bought a snowblower last year and it stopped working this year I was looking at another $1,000 to fix it no way this product sucks so whoever reasons do not buy a Ryobi snowboard the 40 volt brushless
Don't bother to buy anything they offer that is brushless. It will work long enough for you to get it home. Don't expect anything else!
I can't say enough about Ryobi 18v tools. I use my leaf blower and weed wacker all the time and when you pair them with 6ah batteries you have power to get the job done. The tools are light weight and work great. I'm glad I invested in these tools.
We own many Ryobi tools. Purchased this blower and it was broken. Ryobi is wanting us to take it to a service center to be repaired. Service center is backed up minimum of 3 weeks. We need blower now. DO NOT recommend. This makes us reconsider any additional Ryobi purchases.
World's worst customer service
World's worst customer service, not to mention poor battery product quality. We bought a Ryobi electric lawnmower a year ago and while the mower itself is fine, we have already had to replace one dead battery of the 2 we bought. Now the 2nd battery has croaked. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the in-warranty battery replacement service by telephone or the exciting "new" live chat service they tout. 2x over 1 hour on hold before giving up, and the robot chat bot is a moron unable to answer any question after telling us "Thank you for contacting us. Due to high volume our SMS associates are not currently available. Please try again in a few minutes. Thank you for your patience." So much for instant results by chat! This reply was followed by stupid unrelated answers to our questions. Without a doubt the WORST customer service we have ever encountered, not to mention a crap product. Why on earth would we ever buy RYOBI again.
I made the huge mistake of buying multiple Ryobi battery operated tools so that I could stick with one battery type for all of them. Unfortunately, the batteries are going bad and there is no way to get support from Ryobi for them. It was impossible to get hold of Ryobi customer service, and once I did, they didn't believe me unless I had all the receipts. I then went to Home Depot to get the receipts and could not because they have no search function in the database. I then tried to get hold of Ryobi again with no luck. Home Depot stopped supporting Ryobi tools or batteries and the support centers are 80 miles away from my house in Melbourne, Florida. This is a horrible business model for a tool that you feature all over your store.
I bought a 40V 21 inch mover and it went bad after one season. Could not find the receipt and because Home Depot changed the last four numbers on the new credit card they sent the receipt could not be found. I managed to get it exchanged after six trips to the store and the first time I moved, when lifting the mower from the rear, the blades were nicking the deck underneath. I contacted Ryobi and they refereed me to a service center. I called and they are telling me the the entire deck has to be replaced on a brand new mower. This is insanity. This is a 750 dollar mower bad out of the box. I will never purchase any of their products again.
Missing battery & charger from combo set. Called Home Depot & Ryobi. Was told would be replaced. 2 months still nothing.
Bought a Ryobi 40V walk behind mower in April 2022...17 months later does not work and customer service sent me service providers, and closest to me is 50 miles away and they expect me to pay shipping costs there and they pay shipping cost...service provider has a cell number and voice mailbox is full and left SMS message and they have never called me back...explained my issues with Ryobi rep. And offered zero solution...last Ryobi tool I will ever own...and it's still under warranty...so do your research before buying...Richard in Florida
Registration is deliberately difficult. It appears Ryobi wants to discourage registration. Web site is unfriendly.
Great drill/driver for my home and work projects. The weight of the drill/driver make it ease to handle.
Waited several hours on hold for a replacement part that was missing at purchase. I was then told it was not their problem and it needed to be returned to Home Depot. When I voiced my frustration with the hold time and their resistance to send a $.30 part that was missing, the associate was rude. Would not recommend based on customer service practices.
We bought an expensive battery operated lawn mower 3 years ago and the self propelled stopped working. We contacted CS on 7/5-9/22 and 9-23 and told them we could not find the receipt and we gave them the serial number as requested. We've heard absolutely nothing back from them. We buy a lot of Ryobi tools but not anymore! They do not stand by their products.
Purchased saw to have a smaller saw compared to my gas chainsaw. It is lightweight and easy to handle. Recommend to anyone for a quick way to cut bigger limbs.
I first bought the 18 gauge brad nailer. I have loved it so much that I went out and got the multi tool and narrow crown stapler
I have been fighting with a ryobi weed eater trying to spool on cutting line and what a joke on the customer!
If these bastards would try doing it themselves before releasing their JUNK onto the market! The spool and the housing need a gorilla to press them together and spin it at the same time to lock it in. CLOWNS!
EVERYONE READ THIS: DO NOT BUY THE 40V BRUSHLESS WEED EATER. IT IS THE BIGGEST POS IN MY GARDENING ARSENAL I payed way to much for something that is garbage!
I use tools in my job and I'm sure Ryobi is the worst you can buy. Is not cheap if you have to replace it three times in a year. And use the warranty is imposible. The service is a nightmare.
Just got a 13inch/trimmer and edger. All my tools are 18volt Ryobi.I have had no problems at all with them love them all.
I purchased the Ryobi One portable radio 18 V. This is my second Ryobi one radio. The sound is Very good and very clear. It also has a great Bluetooth feature so you can use your phone to play music. I also get to listen to my Buffalo Bills game with the a.m. feature. The other one just got old I had it for eight years
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
