I was misled by a seller that I was purchasing an adult size 10 shirt. It was quite clearly a kids small when I received it. Poshmark refuse to step in and resolve the issue. I have spent a lot of money with this company until this happened. I always did my homework before I made a purchase. With this shirt no exception. The seller clearly misrepresented this and they got away with it.
I purchased an item listed as white. It was a dirty yellow/ivory. Asked the seller how to resolve/return. No reply. The only thing left was to file a "claim". Then it took 10+ days of me supplying multiple photos to Poshmark to back up the claim and my request to return. The "team" said it was "as described" and denied that it was listed incorrectly. The seller has the advantage and Poshmark wants to make it's percentage, so they decide on the seller's side. Obviously Poshmark's customer service is prejudiced AND colorblind. Beware.
I've had some ups and downs with this company. For the most part though they were really helpful with most issues, but I did find the longer I've been on the app and the more active I am, the more receptive they are when I contact them about a problem. The 20% fee hurts a little but if you know what you're doing and price your items right it can be a good experience. I find it stressful to figure out the weight and postage of shipping for different items on my own on sites like ebay and depop, so I like that they send you a prepaid label, it makes it super easy. So far (as a Canadian) I've found this is the easiest platform to sell on.
I purchased a jean jacket on Poshmark, but even though I ordered my usual size, it was too tight. When I tried to return it, the return was denied. The moral to this story is shop Amazon. You can trust them to stand behind their stuff.
My first complaint was that they have inaccurate sizing charts misleading customers to buy shoes that are two small and won't let you return them even though they provide inaccurate and misleading sizing charts. So I attempted to sell them to my roommate, but the shoes came with huge cracks in the souls not visible in the pictures online and the shoes literally fell apart in the first hour they were worn so I could not resell them. I have emailed Poshmark about 10 times, but they just respond with stock answers that claim I should've checked the manufacturer's sizing chart and not there's. They also recommended I just resell the boots on their website wherein they would take %20 commission! And NO ONE is going to buy these boots now that the souls have disintegrated.
Disgusting disgusting company. When I sold, they took a huge chunk. And when I bought, they don't give refunds when the item is not as described or FAKE? I advise you to stay away. I wasted so much money from this stupid platform.
Do not use Poshmark, unless you want to be harassed by buyers. I was harassed by a buyer accusing me of running a scam. I sell legitimate items, I have and maintain 5 stars consistently. When I reached out to Poshmark, they gave me a caned answer, we are taking care of it. They issued credit for an item the buyer bought. The item works with no issues. Poshmark does not do due diligence. If they had reviewed the online chat from this buyer, they would realize i was the one who was being abused and harassed.
I just wanted to let everybody out there now, I ordered three items off of Poshmark in the last year and they continue to constantly debit my debit card for purchases I did not even make. After trying multiple times to be sure the customer service there is absolutely no response!
I want them exposed, is my understanding they have store in millions of dollars from consumers!
I made the mistake of buying a Coach handbag guaranteed authentic but is a fake and plastic not leather. I've emailed several times, and of course there is no phone service and have just been ignored. Posh boasts of it's protection fir buyers, yet they hold the money while I'm stuck with a fake bag, 80.00 poorer and no service. Isn't this criminal? This can't be right.
Stick to eBay to sell your stuff. Buyers on Poshmark consistently submit low-ball offers and the 20% cut that Poshmark takes just doesn't make it worth it. To add insult to injury, buyers will pay $30 for a nearly new $300 top and then open a case that the item isn't in new condition. Ridiculous! I've had it with this silly site and have closed my account.
I was looking for a particular straw bag for summer! I can't believe the crap that people try to sell on this site. What is worse, is what they are asking for said crap! I felt like I was looking through a run down thrift store. So many of the sellers waste your time as well. They either don't take sold items down or they don't respond to your messages. I did find my Mar Y Sol flower tote, although overpriced, it was in new condition and I wanted it. I ordered, sent payment, and item never came. I had to get a refund. If I am looking for something that is discontinued, I will look here to see if I can find in new condition. UPDATE: I have since deleted my account. This site and most of the sellers are not worth my time.
Terrible customer service. Sold an item and the buyer damaged I had proof from pictures the day before I shipped it but the buyer said it was damaged! So even though I provided pictures that the item was in pristine brand new condition they still returned me the item broken and gave the buyer the money back! Such scammers never doing business with them they only want to take the money, in top of that charge 20% of each sale for doing absolutely nothing. Worse company hope the go out of business soon
I bought a Gucci clutch through Poshmark under an email heading that said,"Gucci up to 70% Off!"
After placing my order, the bag was sent to their authentication department, but when I received the bag, there was an outlet store receipt in the bag that showed the seller bought it for less than 50% of what she sold it to me for. Did the authentication department miss seeing the receipt? This was misrepresentation & fraudulent promotion. They, of course, would not let me return the bag or answer my questions. Save yourself money, time & aggravation, & shop elsewhere. Zero stars for this lousy company.
Buyers BEWARE: According to poshmark support, a poshmark seller does not have to honor an agreed upon offer price. Sellers are allowed to accept an offer, refuse shipping the item, and in 7 days after payment has been made, poshmark will conveniently cancel the order. Then the seller is approved to immediately repost a copy of the exact same listing and increase the listing price to their discretion with no repercussion. Poshmark support refuses to even look into these sort of matters. Thank you Peter!
I had significant fraudulent activity on my Poshmark account and Poshmark did not respond to my concern. When they finally responded weeks later they told me that because the purchases were made from my account then they were not considered fraudulent activity. However that is the exact definition of fraud: When someone else Pretends to be me and use my account to make false purchases. I'm extremely disappointed in this company for not protecting my personal information but also not taking action to make things right.
Received approval to return shoes along with a shipping label to print. Stipulation that it be shipped within two business days. I am shipping today. Good thing I am not traveling too far. Let's see what happens.
Received shoes with parts of soles missing. No where in description. Only said good condition. Horrible
I purchased a dress from poshmark that arrived horribly damaged. I reported this and requested a refund ( included photos of damage noting that it was a different garment than advertised). They refused to refund saying seller claimed I'd damaged it and since I couldn't prove otherwise, they would not refund - what!? The damage was caused by amateur alterations the the dress - not something it would even be possible for me to have done in the time between receipt and complaint! Sadly, they seem to side with the big sellers ( this person has a poshmark shop or "closet"). Probably thinking they will make more long term profit from the seller than from the buyer
While I did not like the fact that your questions/negotiations are viewable by everyone, I did end up buying some tops that were exactly as advertised, in perfect condition, inexpensive (a great deal), and were shipped promptly.
Use eBay or mercari. Poshmark has terrible customer service and they take too much money for shipping and seller charges. I will never use this site again after too many negative incidences with employees and other sellers
Sold several items with positive reviews and all of a sudden they accuse me of selling a fake belt? Possibly other sellers marking my belt as counterfeit because I am purposefully selling it lower than them? They removed it, I offered to provide proof of purchase for the listing and they said they would not reinstate it. Zero stars. Garbage app. Terrible customer service.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
