I made the huge mistake of paying them for resume builder and resume promotion services. They are nothing but a scam!
- they make some substandard resume and make you go back and forth 20 times. By then you're fedup and decide to do it yourself anyways
- they dont promote your resume to anyone except scam companies who start calling you for more payment
- they sell your details to other scamsters who lure you to apply for foreign countries' immigration by paying again!

Total scam
February 13, 2017

I signed up to Monster.com as an employer to place jobs. The website is not user friendly. Three times in a 10 days period I attempted to log in but couldn't. I called customer service and they weren't much help. After 30 days I wanted to cancel my subscription and I was told that when I signed up, I agreed to pay for three months. I never saw anywhere that I am required to stay on for three months. Overall I had a very bad experience.

I've signed up to all the major job search websites and the only one to never send me anything relevant is Monster. The vacancies have either expired - even on their own website, the email subject rarely matches the job description or location in the email body (Product Owner in London vs ScrumMaster in Germany when I am a contract Java Dev) or you hear absolutely nothing after you apply for a role. There are so many other far more useful job search sites out there, that you really don't need to was your time or hopes with Monster. And this is after 4 years of daily emails none of which has resulted in anything from them as they're impossible to unregister from.

I paid several hundred dollars to Monster to write my resume. It was the worst resume writing service I have ever used. I have used several other resume writing services over the past couple years so I had work to compare the services of Monster to. The first draft of Monster services looked like it was written by a high school student. I asked for a refund after the first draft, as it was so poor, and they refused. They said I could give my feedback and write out the changes I wanted, I explained this would take so long for me to send revisions, isn't that the point of hiring a professional resume writing service, to save time and work. Very disappointed, wouldn't use them again or recommend them to anyone

Customer (Dis)service
December 23, 2020

Paid to have my CV "professionally" reviewed. Turns out Monster does not review CVs. They simply converted my CV into a resume, something I could have easily done with MS Word's resume builder. When I contacted Monster's customer service, they did not care.

This is a very outdated job search board. No job listings have any description of pay or benefits. All that's listed is what is expected of you, in multiple different sections. Key responsibilities, experience, job role, qualifications. And after all that, no mention or even a hint of what is in it for the employee. They act like giving you a job is the benefit and you should be happy you have that.

I have recruiters reach out daily, most of whom i can't understand, over the phone. Every one is for a different "recruitment and staffing" agency and every single one is the same. No mention of pay and they sometimes get upset when you ask. Why would i waste everyone's time only to get 3 interviews in to find out we're $30k apart on salary requirments?

Very scummy practices. Outdated, unprofessional, rude and no place in the modern post Covid workforce. Update your strategies and practices.

The age of pretending we work out of the goodness of our hearts, and not TO SURVIVE, are over.

Once I signed up for monster and added my resume and info, I started getting 40 emails a day from recruiters in India advertising jobs I wasn't even aligned with. Don't sign up for monster because they just sell your info to a bunch of spammy recruiters.

Monster.com is a very spammy site. I signed up to find jobs after COVID hit and I was laid off. Instead of helping with the job search, it instead sent me emails after emails after emails of not related jobs. I dunno how they are even surviving.

Stay away, Use other sites to find a job!

The executive Rekhadi told me the subscription is for a lifetime. After buying the subscription, I learned it is valid for six months. I tried to enquire, but she didn't respond to my mail and call. I have raised the ticket, but They didn't respond to me. Even I am not getting relevant jobs. Most of the emails I have received are from scammers. Even the monster doesn't care about filtering jobs posted by the scammers. I am not getting proper responses from monster executives.

Express Resume Services gives you no value for your money. This services claims to send your CV to more than 1200 consultant across India bust does not provide you the list.It has been a month and I have received only 4 emails from consultants that they have received my CV from monster. Snd its not that I am a fresher or unemployable. I am a SAP certified consultant. So I was expecting a better responce than 4 emails.

Monster.com is doing scam with common people. They sell your resume data to fake recruiting consultancy. And then after you will start getting calls for jobs. They will convince to pay registration fee then they will arrange a fake interview & they will select you and they will offer you good salary. The salary could be in lakhs or 5x or 10x salary from what you are currently getting now. They will make you feel so good that you will stop thinking about scam. Now their business start they will ask money on the name of medical, police verification & many more. Slowly slowly you will lose your thousands of money. Then they will ask you to wait and the wait will never end. And one they all phones are switched off.

Happy Scam...
