I am a well educated English teacher with a M. A in English literature, B. Ed and a CELTA certificate from Cambridge. The irony is that I still do not have a job not because I am incapable but because I fail to bow down before the many people hiring teachers for only their benefit.
The pathetic working conditions of the teachers makes this profession more pitiable than that of a labourer. The teachers have to contend not only with teaching but even administration, problem solving, evaluating students on a regular basis and responding to some unreasonable queries raised by the management. All this work is only for a paltry sum of Rs ******* for a 7a. M to a 5 p. M job
The teachers who are creative and stand out from the rest and want to make a difference in the world of education are often told to complete the portion on time especially in junior colleges. The children over here are from different mediums. Most of them don't even converse in English hence find it difficult to cope up with debates, discussion so on which are not even given preference to in such colleges. There is rote learning and guides to understand what is just required from the point of view of an exam.
I have also had experience of working for companies where I have observed that the vernacular medium students neither can converse in English or write letters. As we all know most of the organisations communicate with their staff in English and even meetings and conferences are conducted in English, Don't we think we should be doing much more for our younger generation? In fact it is a high time the education system underwent a change.
We often blame the teachers for the pathetic state of teaching but have we done anything about the pay scales.? The teachers' morale can be boosted if they are being awarded well. It is only in writing that a teacher gets more holidays than people in other professions but it is a well known fact that teachers work harder during holidays preparing report cards, correcting papers and teaching students for their boards. Teachers are often blamed for their lack of skills and knowledge. I do not disagree with the same but please do not generalise this for all. There are many teachers who are very sincere, devoted and use their skills to ensure that every child has comprehended and understood what they have taught.
I have done my B. Ed from Pillai's College of Education and Research and have been guided in the most exceptional manner. The teaching skills were very interactive be it a discussion, debate, games, quiz or the use of technology so please the media and others who have a limited knowledge about the training imparted should stop this blame game and do extensive research before jumping to conclusions.
As far as conversation in English is concerned it should be made mandatory in all vernacular mediums that will help the children in their career.
To sum up I would say that the education system should be more practical oriented rather than rote learning and then flushing it out in the exams.
My suggestion to the management of all schools and teachers would be to use their skills in the class to the maximum. Teach the concepts thoroughly. Concepts should be revised till all the students have understood and can apply it in future. In my view ‘ quality is better than quantity'
Last but not the least my request to the govt is to stop this political game of being biased towards certain communities in all the fields at the cost of innocent young lives. We need teachers who can bring out the best in their students and not students who have managed to find a job that they are not passionate about or that they have very little practical knowledge.
I know for a fact my review will frizzle out in no time but if we need to bring out a change then we need to join hands and be the change ourselves.
Today is 29th June. On 22nd April, I put one REQUEST to REFUND my money as you guys are incapable to what you promised since day 1 ie 14th March, 2018.
I got response on this mail though on the same day, by Ms Ajitha that she will take care of it and have done some changes. She called through her Landline stating that you may callback, in case have any issues or queries. SURPRISINGLY, I am trying the same number since Friday i e 1st June. I tried on different time slots on 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th & 6th. BUT NO ONE IS PICKING THE PHONE.
I want Research/KPO Job for 10 year experience. In my Profile, you have updated BPO my Industry. Due to that, my Inbox has mails related to Sales Job in BPO Industry or Software Developer jobs. Categorization is not done properly.
Already 3 months passed and your team is incompetent to provide any solution. They are just playing the game of 'Passing the Buck'. They have no solution and only wasting my time. It was my folly that I paid the money to you guys, instead of some good Job Service Providers.
What Ajitha has done which Venktesh was not able to. Both have done the same thing. First promising and then NOT Picking the phone. Useless Fellows.
The only solution is GIVE MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK.
AND YES, DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE, WHILE RESPONDING BACK SO THAT IT WILL BE EASY FOR ALL OF US TO TRACK THE MAIL TRAIL.
