I placed an online pickup order on Saturday for pickup on Sunday at the intersection of 12 Mile Rd and Mound Rd in Warren Michigan. Click checkout on Saturday so my order would have my discounts applied for that day. Picked up the order and was not notified until I got home via text that the full price was applied to my credit card with out discounts. Called store, spent 25 minutes between hold and talking to a customer care rep in online orders only to be told that if I wanted those discounts I should have picked it up the day before. Asked to talk to manager, was placed on hold only to have the same person get on the phone and tell me that the manager said that that's their policy. I asked the woman for her name and employee number as well as her manager that wasn't even will ing to talk to me, and she refused. Told her I needed that info because I was calling corporate in which she responded "I'm disconnecting this call" and hung up. I called back, asked for supervisor and was transferred to a woman who hung up on me when I told her I had just called. So I googled corporate, called them, they said the store handled it poorly and I was going to receive my discounts of $45. After 40 minutes between talking and hold, I was then notified that the rep I spoke with was not given authorization to give me my discounts even though the order was placed the day the sales were going on. I was only offered a $15 mperk to my account. I told her that I can get it all cheaper at full price somewhere else and that I will be returning the $160 order to the store and never shopping with meijer again. I have a special needs toddler and don't have the flexibility to jump and go shopping or do pick ups the same day. This is bad business. I have made a complaint wit the Better Business Bureau. Disappointed is an understatement. Poor customer service in this store. Will never shop at any meijer again, and will be posting this experience on every social media and review site I can find.
Kroger guy for decades and after several incorrect orders I decided to give Meijer's in Okolona Ky a try. Using them now for well over 3 years and when they started curbside pickup I did too. Great to order online and pickup later. Now the app is updated and I can accept or deny subs. See exactly what I'm getting and no surprises. Now the part of review that's important. The folks that do the shopping and bring items to car are the reason to shop there. The folks are great. Personable. We laugh. Joke. I even get jokes in on my order remarks. If around Okolona the Meijer on Preston hwy. It's the spot

My daughter and I just went to Meijer and we checked out using u scan. The clerks hovered over us the whole time but ok. As we were leaving we were stopped and the lady checked our receipt with every bag. I was so upset. I just watched her as she counted everything I had. It was humiliating.
Full of rednecks like Kroger. You want us to buy all your brand $#*!. It's crap both meijers and Kroger nothing but white trash $#*! and white trash people customer and workers Kroger and meijers you probably get stabbed y a worker. Plus bothhave covid all in it. Obese white trash. You so concerned this is an honest review $#*!s. Yesitsbrutallyhonest
Meijer toll free customer service and the customer service supervisor's are the worst. They are not at all customer friendly. They don't try to offer any solutions to your issue other then pawn you off to another person or a different department. Absolutely horrible people skills
Meijer puts the incorrect product on shelves with sale prices. Always check that barcodes match product with sale ticket and verify at register. Customer Service people Will Not honor sale prices even though it is their mistake. Image below shows Purina cat food stocked on incorrect shelf of Meijer cat food, which is on sale for 8.79. You will be charged 16.99 because this food belongs on shelf above.
Due recent back surgery, I ordered Pickup on *******. The weekly flyer sale prices were applied when I ordered, but they were added back on the final bill. There's no customer service phone number on their survey email. I googled & called and I'd to provide a "road map" for the rep to locate the sales items. She said they cannot refund the overcharges, They can only give me a coupon good for 3 weeks. I did not hesitate to pay my bill, but they did not want to refund overcharges and I guess, hoping that I won't be able to shop within 3 weeks. The amount does not seem much, but it they can do that with thousands of customers, it's quite lucrative. I asked to speak with a manager and the phone somehow got disconnected. So far, there's been no Meijer's call back. They have my phone number as my phone number as one of the authentication process.
I shop at the Oregon Meijers and it's progressively been going down hill even after the recent remodeling. The fruit is regularly spoiled or on the brink of spoiling. They're always out of stock, even when they place items on sale in their ads. They've also raised their prices dramatically since the remodeling. I'll go there now to pick up something small if I'm in a hurry because I live so close but I won't do the majority of my shopping there. I refuse to be price gouged to pay for the store's remodeling.
While shopping with grandchildren, found a good deal on Kettle and fire bone broth, asked a tall man to assist in buying them all, while checking out the price was considerably higher so, t the clerk called back and they could not find product, a women walking by said she saw as well and that was the price. I walked back to assist, store is not small, price was there but it was stocked on wrong shelf this product is the same but the ounces are wrong, ok we'll show me them where that product is on shelf, it's a new product not set up yet, I asked manager to notice how the pricing was set up asked him to stoop to my size and read, he said he had a bad back and could not, I said it's been 30 minutes in mess because they refused to honor price, they are putting product in places that are not tagged for them and misleading people, very poor management.
Customer will no longer use this store,
Previous visit to this store a women was waiting for a sit down cart, she was leaning on my cart while I was asking question, I said to greeter she is weak could you give her that chair while she waits, extremely rudely he set up chair for elderly women.
This store on westnedge in Kalamazoo. Really poor treatment to there customers.
Wa supposed tp get a delivery same day well it got rescheduled for the next morning and then didnt recieve it untill 630 pm! Almost half of food was ruined by sitting in the sun and they would not give me a refund needless to say i will never use there delivery service again! And i was a pretty frequent shopper i would reccomend not using there delivery service if something goes wong they will not try to accomidate you in any way just rude customer service
I was very disappointed with your cakes this time! I've always enjoyed your cakes there, with the deep chocolate taste of the cake and the rich buttery taste of the butter cream icing! But this time I didn't feel that way towards your cakes! I bought a cake from you a few days ago! And I thought I was eating a kroger's cake! The cake was very dry and flavorless and the butter cream icing had no flavor! I didn't taste that rich
Buttery flavor, I've tasted before! It was like you had the Kroger baker's baking your cake! Because that is what it tasted like
I go to Meijer on Coolidge in Royal Oak. I love Meijer's bigger selection although after their remodel it has been significantly reduced. It is usually the best place for one stop shopping. Usually their pricing is better than other grocers as well. I have purchased Meijer milk and recently over the last year or two it goes sour before the sell by date. This has happened 9 times out of the ten I buy it. I don't want to have to go to another grocer for reasonably priced milk and I don't want to waste my time in their long return lines. I don't like how they have special needs female employees collecting loads of heavy carts either. They are not built for that and could suffer injury. I feel they are taking advantage of challenged people and it reflects horribly on Meijer. I hate how I can't use their own app in the store for some reason, nor can I use my phone to check banking etc. Their website is not robust like Walmart, Target or Pennies. They absolutely have the best sales, but often there is no product available.
One stop shopping is no longer the case. Recently shopped for hardware for my lamp. Couldn't find it where lamps were or hardware or in the light bulb aisle. Two random employees had no further information re my search and directed me to another store. Customer service throughout the store basically non-existent. So disappointed. I left and bought nothing.
The store is always clean and over priced. I use to buy pop on sale at the Richmond KY location. Everytime at cash register they treat you like you're going to steal a 24 pack of pop. If I was going to steal a 24 pack of pop I would not be going through the cash register. Angel at the Richmond location was very rude was pushing someone in my party out of her way that was helping unload the buggy so she could scan the pop. First of all where's personal space second of all give me a moment and let me get my stuff on the conveyor belt. And what happened to a greeting there was no greeting. There was no thank you have a great day. I had to address her and tell her thank you and have a great day very very rude and disrespectful.
I haven't had such an amazing time shopping at a store in my entire life. We decided to get a new flat screen and a tv stand for it and we wheeled it up front to the check out. A very polite man by the name of Thomas came and helped us along! He didn't just help wheel it out he stayed with us to make sure we got it in the vehicle and helped! 10/10 amazing service and great dude all around. If yer ever in lancaster ohio at meijers and see Thomas make sure to give this man a good pat on the back.
Meijer is now my go-to store for most everything. In terms of style, it is a notch below Target and a notch above Walmart. I use self-checkout and can usually get in, but a dozen items, and back out to my car in about 20 minutes using self-checkout.
I don't think I've ever left a review (good or bad) for a grocery store... But my visit today ABSOLUTELY warranted one!
After a very long day at work I grabbed a random credit card off the counter and rushed off to Meijer with my wife and two young kids for a quick grocery run. Needless to say, after ringing up my $200+ cart full of family food & diapers, my credit card cleared for all but $9 & change. OOPS! I was sure I had enough money on there but for whatever reason there was $10 remaining and the card was maxed out.
Utterly embarrassed, I attempted to return an item, from my cart... But the manager said they would need to void the payment. I STOPPED THEM CONCERNED, because if my cards is maxed out and the funds are held, then my entire $200 bill would now be declined for a second go around. Stupid me for not bringing the right form of payment or a backup... But I was in an extreme pickle!
After a few seconds of awkward silence and not knowing what to do, the young lady working behind the cash register named "Schynitha" quietly said excuse me and walked around the counter and proceeded to use her personal credit card for the remaining $10 ballance!
Jaw dropping, I humbly thanked her and said I would make a quick return at customer service and give her the $10 back. She responded, "it's ok, that's not necessary, don't worry about it".
Wow what an amazing human being! I have no idea where Meijer found Schynitha, but she is an ABSOLUTE asset that deserves to be recognized and highly praised for her selflessness, phenomenal customer service & kind character!
I did return an item and had them refund her money, but I wish I could do more for her!
Thank you Schynitha! You made my week!
Merry Christmas & God Bless You!
Sincerely,
Robert Klemm & Family.
I tried the grocery pickup. I went and they said that I didn't have an order. I went home and tried it again. I wasted my gas and time AGAIN for them to tell me a second time that they had no order. However, I was charged a small fee BOTH TIMES! I have NEVER had this problem with Walmart. When I call, I'm on hold FOREVER! I will never use their curbside again. What use is a coupon when you don't get your groceries?
They're open till 12 but close the grocery aisles at 11 what is the point of being open I work 2 shift so I try to get shopping done but can't because everything is blocked and employees are just walking around
I went shopping at the Meijer. In McHenry, Il to attempt to get chicken wings for dinner. The young millennial in the department told me he doesn't know what chicken wings are? Really? Yes, no joke. I told him that this is not the job for him. Being an snowflake.
Answer: Even though Meijer was more expensive, I started shopping there because my regular grocery store did not keep their shelves stocked. As long as I have to visit another store, I am simply going to start out at that other store. This has been the case lately, so you have lost a customer. Make that two customers, because the man behind us was upset too. We ran into him later at another grocery store. Goodbye.
Answer: The Meijer at 3700 Harvey in Muskegon, Michigan is the same way. They sent us coupons for a few out-of-stock items.
