I have shopped at Lapeer'a Meijer for years but lately have been frustrated. First I bought a watermelon that was not ripe. When I asked at service desk the lady was not friendly. She said I could bring back the cut up watermelon or the receipt. The receipt was in the trash and the melon was a mess. They know what I purchase as it is on their computer. Then I tried to purchased a large bag of frozen chicken. The clerk said it was not in their system so I could not buy it. They had over a dozen bags in the freezer. Makes no sense. I have started doing most of my shopping at Kroger,
I went shopping after a lovely softball game for a well planned dinner. I checked out and I felt happy so as I'm leaving I stop at the gum ball machines, where I find an amazing alien despenser. So I put a quarter in as one does and turn the knob…. AND NO ALIEN COMES OUT! I was devistated and heartbroken because I was about to adopt a new alien and give it a wonderful home. But no. I got alien scammed. My shopping was good but I went home depressed with no alien.
Every time you go into Meijer, there is some product or service they no longer provide. It would appear that Meijer is trying to find a way to out of business, or at least to make Amazon more viable.
They sent us a coupon in the mail with our name on it for $15 your first online purchase and $15 off for the next two visits. Tried to use the promo code and it said invalid code. I call the help line and I was told it was a IT problem and it was being fixed and they gave me a $15 off promo code. I placed a order today and once again invalid code. I called the help line and I was told the coupon was for only new customer. I spoke to a supervisor and she hung up on me. No where on the coupon does it say for new customers only and why did it send it to me?.
I went to this store to mail a box with a couple of Afghans in it to our daughter. The employee told me the box was to heavy to mail (7 pounds), would not fit into the mail truck, the computer was not working (I suggestive he turned it on) and then he took all the customers behind me while I waited. He then left the area. When he came back he started to print postage but decided to wait on another customer. He finally printed the postage and I left after waiting 40 minutes or so. I was going to go shopping but I just bought was needed for tonight. I went to Wal Mart the next day and had a much better experience.
We used to be loyal Meijer customer but many experiences like this have driven us to Wal Mart.

I have been ripped off. Made a return and the money never went back on my card. Spoke to the store director at the Geiger location and spoke to Carly who basically told me that I will never see my money again and I should be ok with this. Many hours spent calling and visiting store and nothing. $30 out of the window for an item I don't even have. I will never step foot in a Meijer store again.
I was in your store in grand ledge Michigan today, as my grandson and I were walking through the store there was a "Pride" display right in the middle of the isle. I find this highly offensive. My grandson asked me what it was and I told him to just never mind it, a 9 year old child shouldn't have to see this kind of crap, Meijer has obviously gone "woke" and it's sad, I will no longer shop at Meijer and I'm asking my friends and family to stop going to Meijer. Stop catering to a very small group of misguided people and get back to morals and decency.
Meijer in Lincoln Park used to be a convenience store I used to love shopping there now that they changed it all around and made a terrible mess of it I consider it an inconvenience store stuff is spread all over the place you can't get nothing without having to walk to one side of the store to the other please people go back to the old way whoever made this new way is a complete idiot P.S. I apologize for the word. Idiot But for what I was really thinking that's the best I can come up with at the moment to get my point across
A business should keep its political ideals separate from its business... I was upset when I was sent emails with gay alphabet community; this immoral community makes up less than 1% of the population and most Americans are don't support this behavior yet business like meijer want to push their agenda; why plaster ppls sexual involvements all over your emails and push their branding; this is sick
Meijer is not wowing! But Meijer does know what they be doing! Hate the people! But it's cheap and I don't like cheap! You might do so you should go here! By the way! The bathrooms ugh beautiful! And found a hot chick! Short story this was when I got locked out. His by bf now! Sorry if that link sucks!
I have been a Meijer customer for about 50 years. I raised three kids and Meijer was my "go to" place. Spent a lot of money on groceries, clothes and toys at Christmas. Now I am a widow, kids are grown and gone. I don't like the new buy two or you don't get the advantage of the sale price. Especially with perishables I just can't use and end up throwing spiked food out. This week oranges and grapefruit were 2/$8 but there is no way I can eat all those. Price for one $5.29.
Stay away from this place. The Danville Illinois store itself is decent, but the cashiers are sooo rude. If you have to shop here do it in the morning when the store helpers are more quality.
Meijer is a very good stores and shop it thanks for being a Great store great vegetables you are always on time
I really enjoy coming to Myers yes although prices a higher than Wal-Mart and I do understand we all have BE under some presure due to covid19 but today at the deli a older women was very bitty toward me as she was serving me I thought it was me so I brush it off but when she serv me my item she kinda drop it on the counter. I realize it wasn't me so if someone could bring this to the attention of her manager and yes I am a woman of color those are the Vibes I got from her other than that I love Meijer I might try harder to avoid her the next time I'm at the deli
I ordered a vacuum for pickup at a sale price of $184. Upon picking it up the pickup text showed I was charged $301! I called into the store and they told me to call their customer service number and they would give me a credit. After sitting in the parking lot on a cold night on hold and talking to someone for 25 minutes, I was told they would not credit me because the price had gone up since I ordered it. I have ordered from many placed for shipping and pickup and never had this happen. I have always paid the price of the day I ordered. This is absolutely ridiculous. I live an hour away from Meijer which is why I didn't pick it up the same day but I had no idea they were going to do this to me. I lugged the thing into the store for return and the clerk actually shorted me $. 77 because that's what the computer showed her. I showed her the confirmation on my phone of what they charged me and the manager told her to give me the $. 77. Normally, I would have just walked away but first they tried to rip me off with the price and again with the return. I will NEVER shop at Meijer in store in online again.
They're no longer the main artery. Their website is garbage. They did away with systems (tech) so their app is useless, outside of making a simple shopping list. Items regularly show as out of stock or in-stock when they aren't. The poor workers get the earful when you can't find anything including a sale item. No option to leave a product review online. Digital coupons and mperks don't work or are down half the time. Place has gone downhill in a handbag.
Obviously Meijer doesn't care if they get bad reviews. I agree with every other bad review written. They should not be in business! Extremely rude employees! Never have enough stock. Wrong prices posted (which is on purpose to gouge). Will NEVER shop there again.
For the second time in 3 months, my order at meijer.com was cancelled due to processing issues. This happened to me in November. I have covid and can't go to store and this happens. Same thing in November. My kids had covid and I stayed home to keep from spreading it to everyone. I will not be renewing my membership. It's frustrating. I'll just go through shipt directly next time.
If your bill is due on the 4th and you pay on the 5th your payment goes to late fees look at your statement.
Website search for products, might as well VOID this option!
Sure I could search beer, and it shows available, (I trust that).
BUT if I'm looking for a specific product, and it shows available, NO longer do I trust it's a fact.
This has been an issue PRIOR to Covid, so they can't use that excuse. (it happened again 12/29/21).
At least the 5th situation I've experienced in the past.
Amazon will tell you an expected due date, if I'm happy with it, I order it. And they are spot on if not earlier. If I need it now, I will search as I did today.
Meijers should VOID this option on their website!
The employees say we should CALL to check availability, instead.
To call and speak to a person... 20 minute wait today.
Just leaves a bad taste of Meijers.
The company Meijer uses to secure those who write checks denied my check today. When I called to inquire why, I was assisted by someone who could not speak clear English. So I left the cart($320 worth) and went to Kroger and had no problem processing my check. I called Meijer customer service and got transferred to telecheck services. It seems the amount I wanted to spend was above what they determined I could spend and they changed it. Now the embarrassing position I was put in, holding up the line while I tried to call to find out the issue for 30 minutes came to an end when I left the full cart and went to Kroger,
Answer: Even though Meijer was more expensive, I started shopping there because my regular grocery store did not keep their shelves stocked. As long as I have to visit another store, I am simply going to start out at that other store. This has been the case lately, so you have lost a customer. Make that two customers, because the man behind us was upset too. We ran into him later at another grocery store. Goodbye.
Answer: The Meijer at 3700 Harvey in Muskegon, Michigan is the same way. They sent us coupons for a few out-of-stock items.
