Purchased a steelcase chair that arrived with an obviously broken back. I was very frustrated, but all it took was sending them a photo via ebay and they agreed to send me a replacement free of charge.
I got a Leap Chair by Steelcase from Madison Seating. While there was initially an issue with the arms, they promptly sent replacements to resolve the problem. Their customer service is top notch!

Ordered a Herman Miller and it was delivered with a small hole in the seating. So I called and asked if they could give me a replacement. They said no, imperfections are why they are discounted. I accepted that reasoning and fix the chair myself, left them a 5 star review on ebay. Fast forward to now and I am looking to buy another office chair and they have blocked me from buying from them!? I was told if you ever return anything that you are banned from buying again, but I never returned anything. Way to do business!
I've used Madison Seating on three separate occasions. The first time was in 2020 and it all went fairly smooth and the chair had some flaws but for the value I was fine with it. Unfortunately that chair broke in 2021 and had to stop using it. I purchased the same chair in 2021 and have not had any issues with it. The quality was a little better than the one purchased in 2020. The last chair and reason for my review was purchased in 2023. The chair arrived and cosmetically looked just as good as the second chair. The issue was with the stability of the back. You can hear the chair making noises when leaning back and it was not supporting my back as firmly as the past two chairs did. Since Madison offers a 30 Day money back guarantee I requested a return. They expect me to pay for a return of a defective item. Instead of arguing with them I simply told them I will eat the cost as a business expense. Stay away from this company. They are not operating in good faith.
Purchased the Steelcase Leap V2 in black fabric after doing extensive research on ergonomic chairs. Chose this over the Herman Miller Aeron, and don't regret it. Madison seating has probably the best deals online, and shipping was pretty quick as well. Our chair did come damage due to shipping unfortunately, however I reached out to their customer service team and they were quick to respond and handle the matter easily. Would definitely purchase from them again, great customer service!
I purchase a steelcase chair from them and it was advertised as open box. But I received a steelcase chair with very poor condition which were used like 6-7 years. Chair legs were rusted on most of the places and they tried to paint it to cover the rust and it was still visible. It came in a regular box, Not its original box. Its a overused very old chairs in many years. They describe it as a New - OPEN BOX. And I returned it back but never received my money back. Then I submitted dispute through my credit card company. After a month their customer service called yelling at me on the phone and threatened me about the sending to court. Its a joke company. Waste of time and Money.
I ordered a few chairs, and they sent me the wrong color. After contacting them through email, btw the only way to communicate with them. They would not ship the correct color I ordered and offered me to ship the items back at my cost of over $100.00 due to their error. I just felt like they do not care about their customers at all. Absolutely a terrible experience.
I ordered 2 chairs and specificed the color and they sent me the wrong color. They would not own up to it and correct the mistake. They were argumentative via email and I got the feeling they just don't care about their customers.
I ordered a steel series leap v2 from Madison seating and it arrived in 3 days! Unfortunately it arrived broken. I reached out to the Madison seating customer service team and they immediately offered to send a replacement at no cost to me. Would recommend.

I purchased two Knoll Life office chairs from Madison Seating a while ago. One of the chairs height and seating depth adjustment got broken because of a small plastic part. My chairs were still under Madison Seating's 10 year warranty. To get the plastic part replaced, they asked to send them the whole chair and pay for the shipping and return. From California to New York shipping of such a heavy chair would have costed about $250. The same new chair costs $375 on the MS website. So their 10 year warranty on office chairs and other things is useless and ridiculous. I don't know of any other company that charges customers for shipping of items under warranty or wouldn't contact the manufacturer for a replacement part. I will never do business with Madison Seating again. Their customer service is good for only responding with rejections.
I bought a amia chair from them for my birthday at the end of may 2024. These chairs are supposed to come with a 10 year warranty. When I recieved the chair i immediately start to feel a pain but i figured i was sitting in the chair wrong. So I let alot of time pass by trying to adjust the settings and add cushion to the seat. We're now 3 months later in august, which is too late for them to even assist me and finding out whats wrong with the cushion they sent. I tried to reach out to customer service and they said they're sorry theres nothing they can do because its past the 30 days.
I just bought the chair from them they took $300 from me and refuse to help at all despite saying their chair has a 10 year warranty. Come to find out with some online research its actually a common occurance for them to send out defective products and try to stick you with it. I wouldn't buy anything from them ever again.
I recently ordered a Steelcase chair from Madison Seating. Unfortunately, I received a defective chair, which one of the arms is not adjustable for its height. I immediately contacted their customer service via email. They responded promptly and sent me a replacement of the set of the arms. This replacement looks good. However, my problem again was that I couldn't unscrew the arms on my chair, so I contacted the customer service again to get some help. They really cared customer's satisfaction, so they provided me a courtesy offer and promised me to send me a new chair for free. I am satisfied by their fast and nice customer service to resolve issues on my item. Thank them so much for all their response.
Buyer Beware! Pls read the 1-star reviews before your purchase. This company has a very unscrupulous business model, whereby they ship a defective chair, ask for a false positive review in exchange for shipping a "free" replacement which turns out to be a different model. Then they want the customer to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee for their discrepant shipment. Madison Seating clearly does not stand behind their "100% Customer Satisfaction" claim. Thankfully, my credit card company agreed with the facts and credited me for the entire purchase. It was an exhaustive experience that I don't wish upon anyone.
Madison Seating has a great selection of products. They have fast shipping, and excellent customer service. Had an issue with the product I received - they responded within hours and worked with me on the best solution, providing several options. Would order from them again.
We purchased a couple of chairs from Madisonseating at a significant savings (I believe during their sale the purchase price was 85% off retail) and the experience overall was positive. I will agree with an alternate reviewer that their in-stock status was inaccurate, but when I reached out for a status update they gave me an updated time frame and offered to cancel my order if the updated timing removed our interest. Once the chairs did arrive (delayed, but then everything we've been ordering has been) the chairs seemed new or very near new. One of the chairs did start showing some issues within a month, and the support team responded with options within 24 hours. I will be ordering from them again in the future.
If you buy from them on eBay they claim to have a 30 day, hassle free guarantee. Well good luck because if you try to ship anything back the customer service department gets all petty and acts like it's coming out of their pocket. Shipped my chairs back at their expense (thanks eBay) and they only partially refunded my orders, stating the chairs were now in 'used condition'! So they took about $250 from my refund. I recently ordered an office chair through Madison Seating. As I searched different websites, I found their pricing to be extremely competitive. Once I ordered, I was updated regularly by email. The chair arrived, but FedEx during the shipment had beat up the box pretty badly affecting the chair. I took pictures and contacted service. They responded quickly and offered a great solution. We purchased more than a dozen Herman Miller chairs from this company over the last several months, and all but one were perfect. We sent a picture and video of the defective chair (which was wobbly and squeaked when none of the others did) and requested a replacement. This is the email we received in response:

I have been using a cheaper chair for many months, which eventually started hurting my back from sitting all day working at home.
