No consent for any subscription and yet I was charged already for 5 months. Every month the charge comes 3 days earlier so even if you did consent you will be charged 13 times each year. This is clearly organized fraud.
When logging into your account you will not find any possibility to retrieve past payments nor an option to cancel your "so-called subscription".
This site subscribes you without your knowledge to take money from you, avoid this website and protect your money.

The CV review I originally paid for was vague and uninformed. Lots of "in this section what you should focus on depends on the job you're going for"... No examples! Signed up for a trial for two weeks and then they proceeded to continue to take money from my account for the next seven months until I happened to get a notification from my bank which brought it to my attention.
They never once emailed a reminder that the charge would increase etc. They actually never emailed again even though I was signed up to receive every possible news letter.
I imagine this is to avoid people noticing they are still signed up so they can continue to syphon money whilst providing absolutely no service what so ever.
They've robbed me of nearly £120 and the best they've offered is one months refund of £16.85.
Absolutely disgusting business practices.
Avoid like the plague.
I'm going through my bank to try and get the money back but it could take months.

I called because I was upset about that l was being charged for a service I was not using. I went on to mention that I had got the job as a teacher. I only needed to use the service for the resume. Alejandro was determined to make me happy. He told me that I qualify for a 1 year subscription because I am a teacher and processed me a refund. He also offered to help me navigate the website and explain all of the benefits that I can use to help me be a great educator in the classroom.

Such a Scam Business. I cancelled my subscription several times, but the system does not stop billing me and continues to do so.
They charged me for the first time on November 5,2022. When I told them there was a technical problem, they refused to accept it and demanded that I be convinced that I would not be charged again.
They have now charged me again on November 8,2022. After conducting some investigation, I discovered that this firm is also defrauding other clients.
Whoever is reading this review, believe me when will be disappointed with their service. There is no customer service. They will not accept their fault.

I built a resume in Jan of 2022 and then cancelled. They continued to charge me until today. I logged back into my account and I had opted in to receive all communication from them, but after I cancelled I never got another email. They just continued to charge me and hoped I would not notice (which I didn't for quite awhile). Upon contacting the rep pushed me to keep it for 4.95 a month after asking for a refund multiple times and then refunded 11.98. I immediately an email from them for the first time ever. Buyer beware. The reason for any charges is that our subscriptions are auto-renewing. We have a continuous billing feature that charges the credit card on file after the 14-day trial expires and every four weeks afterward unless they choose to cancel the subscription beforehand.
If there was no cancellation request sent before the trial period, the account is enrolled into a monthly subscription at the regular price. The auto-renewal information is listed in multiple areas like our plans page, the payment information page, and lastly, on your welcoming email, which confirms the 14-day trial purchase and a detailed overview of your new subscription.

I created one resume and have since been charged nearly $80. LiveCareer set up an unauthorized $34.95 monthly charge from my credit card. Fortunately American Express (excellent, trusted company) reversed the charges immediately once I noticed and contested them.
My only question now is why California AG has not gone after this company for consumer fraud?

Our renewal policy is listed clearly in normal size font with the subscription option, on the payment confirmation page and purchase confirmation email. If you do not cancel we will assume that you are still using our service. Many of our customers continue to use our service for several months during their entire job search.

Frustrating attempt at communication. "Willy" is a nice man but comes across as lacking confidence - possibly because of having to read from company enforced scripts. Very frustrating experience - I am not likely to continue my subscription.
These people are $#*!ing scammers. My husband joined, I cancelled the subscription and they're still charging us! DON'T use their services... pay someone to do your resume, it will cost you less money and aggravation in the long run!

Of course when my husband said it would only cost $2.00 to perfect his resume, I handed over my credit card without thinking. Man did we get fooled... After he found his job, and thought he cancelled his account. I realized they had been charging me $40/ month for the past 2 months >:(
I really wish I had realized sooner... $80+ bucks is NOT worth the month it took him to find employment, and obviously we were still in debt after us both being unemployed for that month:(
On a side note, my husbands Resume turned out just as good as the one I made for myself from scratch using only Microsoft word, and common sense... Scumbags advertising "free Resume Building" Hah.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
