Bought a brand new laptop in April 2022, and have charging issues in June, 2023. Bad luck out of warranty. I went to their website and see the charging issues is caused by the software issue. BS. If such things happened, the manufacturer should recall the laptop. $#*!ty customer support, too. Called them and told to cover the fee by customer.
It's customer service is nothing more than a joke. All service reps are there just for 'lip service' to make you feel better without actually solving anything. There is a serious internal/intercompany communication breakdown and they only know as much as I know about any situation. I had experience with other computer companies like Dell and their customer/sales reps are there to resolve actual issues in timely manner. This will be my first as the last time dealing with Lenovo for sure. Horrific, just horrific company.
Lenovo laptops are made from cheap plastic that crack during normal use - typing. My laptop that has only been placed on a soft surface, never dropped (not even rattled) has 4 cracks. Lenovo refuse to show interest and say it is caused by the consumer. That laptop is less than a year old. The laptop crashes daily and has done since the day I received it. Lenovo said this is not covered by their warranty. Don't waste your money.
I just got my laptop in the mail last week, tired to turn it on and the screen is either black or has the fuzzy white lines, as annoying as not being able to get a brand new laptop to turn on, the support people just don't give a damn, it's been a few days now since I filed for a replacement but there not even sending me a shipping label something is always delaying it, now that I asked for a refund it's some BS about I have a order filed already so I can't get a refunded yet. First laptop I bough and I'm really annoyed and disappointed! Never again, check out the pictures before you buy.
I purchased a notebook through our Company. The delivery took many months. Finally, it was delivered but camera did not work. Lenovo promised to release a driver to fix the issue but hasn't done it. The "ping-pong" to repair the notebook, again, took months, after which it was returned to me but still does not work properly (gets restarted every 10-15 minutes). Overall, this process has already taken about a year after purchase, and our support services say that if they sent it for repair to Lenovo it will again take a lot of time. Conclusion: unbelievably poor quality of the product and extremely low quality of service.
Bought a Lenovo PC. Just out of water, it refused to turn on. Motherboard dead.
Such a poor outcome for a product not overly used.
Customer 'service' worse than the product.
Avoiding Lenovo in future.
I am profoundly disappointed with this product, and it feels like a complete scam. The functionality is severely lacking, making even simple tasks, like opening one tab to another, a painfully slow process that takes a staggering 15 minutes. Although the laptop's design is not terrible, its performance mirrors that of a computer from the 1970s. I strongly discourage anyone from wasting their money on this product, as it struggles to handle even basic tasks. This laptop is, in essence, a major scam, particularly impacting those with limited resources who genuinely need a machine for simple tasks or work.
A more prudent choice would be to invest a few hundred ringgits in a secondhand machine or opt for a no-name brand from China, as this Lenovo product has been a significant letdown.
Very disappointed in Lenovo, bought the IdeaPad 3 brand new and it's locked down on s mode, for those that don't know what that is.It locks your computer down where you can only purchase their apps(Greedy China) and they tell you that you can turn it off but you can't,which renders the computer basically useless.I will definitely tell everyone to never buy a Lenovo, what an absolutely horrible experience.👎👎👎
I have the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 (14), and I had it for a couple months and the computer starts freezing and the screen would black out then it would take you to the log in screen. I thought it was something minor, come to find out its a motherboard failure and they want me to pay over $700 (more than what I paid for it brand new) to fix it, which when I said absolutely not, they offered me a crappy 10% discount off the final price. The warranty of course expired right before it got worse. Then to even send it in they make you pay over $100 for diagnosing fees, on top of fees you have to pay to get it shipped out. They were never able to do anything for me and ended up sending back my laptop probably in a worse condition than when i sent it out. Worst company policies. Worst customer service. Worst products. 10/10 Do not recommend to anyone. Completely unacceptable.
OK so my tablet has broken down (again!) and getting it sorted by Customer Services is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. I'm currently dealing with someone called Alein whose grasp of English is pretty flawed - so much so that i can't tell if my emails are actually being understood or just ignored! Alein couldn't even sort out the correct UPS collection procedure for picking up my tablet which is under warranty - I've pretty much had to do everything myself. Why don't companies use Customer Service agents who actually are native speakers of the countries services they look after? It would save so much aggravation for the customer. Oh hang on - they use this type of service because it's cheap and because customer service isn't actually important to them in the long run.
I purchased a new laptop on the Lenovo site in November of 2023. It would not turn on when fully charged. Lenovo sent me a new computer and told me to return the one I had. I did. The second laptop came with the wrong power cord. I called Lenovo; I had a 12-month warranty. They told me I purchased my laptop from Mexico so they couldn't help me. WHAT? They sent it to me. Finally they figured out that the serial number on this computer did not go with the product I had. They gave me the serial number they found when signing in to the backend of this laptop. So, I called support to get the power cord, and they told me this computer was not under warranty as it was sold to me "as is" No. I purchased a brand new computer for $1900. Filing small claims on Monday.
I recommend you should never buy anything from lenovo online. The customer service is a joke. The return process takes forever, they keep transferring your call without solving The problem. Different representatives have different opinions and eventually I need to pay the shipping cost out of my pocket. What a shame. This bad experience makes me decide that I will never choose Lenovo again. Even in any of physical location. They hire stupid people and do stupid staff. I could see what it will be like when I contact their technicians in the future. Poor communication, never solves problems.
I purchased 3 computers for our company, all the same new 2019. March of 2020 my computer stopped working - motherboard crapped out. Shipped it in and was told can't get parts, don't know when or if it will return. Well months later comes back in the mail- worked ok but always had problem of any updates thru the past 2 years. Windows 11 comes and once again no way to update. Decided to see a local computer specialist and found out in my 6 month old computer they replaced the motherboard with a 10 year outdated motherboard and felt that was sufficient. Had I known that at the time I would have never accepted it. I called today and basically getting the runaround - it's out of warranty and old, nothing we can do. How about when it was under warranty why didn't you replace it with a new computer and not give me shoddy equipment and pass it off as well it's working. I paid 2599.00. I got 12$ service. I am completely aware that 2020 and 2021 was a time where parts were unavailable, but it was under full warranty and I should have been given new not old. I am dying to know if anyone has a fix for this problem or I just verbally trash Lenovo from now until the end of time. Trust me- never again as far as I'm concerned. Lenovo warranty, service and computers are the worst.
Dealing with Lenovo has been an absolute disaster. My father's Lenovo computer has spent more time in the repair shop than in our home. The same issue - a failing screen, kept recurring, even after multiple repairs under warranty.
When the same issue reared its ugly head again, Lenovo had the audacity to blame us for 'mechanical damage' and demanded a staggering $700 for repair. The irony is, the only 'mechanical damage' might have been due to their pathetic excuse for a shipping box. It was ill-fitted, flimsy, and lacked even the basic courtesy of a 'fragile' label.
Don't just take my word for it. See the photos I've attached - they tell the story of Lenovo's 'quality', or lack thereof. Despite the multiple repair tickets and our pleas for a reliable fix, Lenovo chose to ignore the problem and then blame the customer.
This experience has been a costly, stress-inducing disaster, one that I wish upon no one. Lenovo has shown complete disregard for customer satisfaction and I urge you to think twice before handing over your hard-earned money to them.
Ordered a Monitor from there site, they sent out a mail saying my order had been shipped, the tracking number they gave didn't work, I rang up and the customer service staff were so unhelpful I was told they did have a record and that they would contact the courier when I asked when would I get information she told me maybe tomorrow maybe the next day or maybe some time after that. I am now left with no assurance they will contact me or even bother looking into my issue. I would not recommend having any dealing with this company or site.
Bought a Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga 11/30 as a Christmas present for my grandson. Lenovo created a shipping label/charged me on 12/3. Shipping ETA was 12/10. By 12/14, tracking still reported the package had not arrived at UPS. Four days and countless customer service interactions later, they still will not tell me what happened, where the package is or when/if it will ship. Won't let me change the shipping destination (to my grandson) or cancel the order because they say it's "shipped." Coincidentally, the pen is sold via Amazon - but won't be available until Dec. 29! So my guess is that this is a product back-order and Lenovo did not acknowledge it online or via customer service responses. I feel that's deceptive, and I no longer trust Lenovo.
Not sure where to start so I'll try to keep it factual:
1. Ordered a laptop in Dec after confirming with customer support it would delivered within 2 busines days, as advertised on their website
2. Two weeks later I was still waiting for my laptop - no communication whatsoever from them
3. Three weeks later I called them up and after hours on the phone, found out they had delivered to a different address
4. I asked for a refund and was told it would take about 2 weeks
5. Then I was told they could not locate the laptop
6. Then the confirmed they located the laptop and it was in transit
7. Then I was told I would get a refund within 5-10 days
8. Two weeks later, I'm told they have not received the laptop...
I cannot count the amount of hours I've wasted with this, and I've lost more than £1,000 in the process.
No words to describe how bad this is...
My daughter's new Legion 7 laptop for college was expected to last at least 4 years, but the hinge broke in less than 6 months. Apparently it's a very common defect.
The first time we tried to get service, the repair order was cancelled and Lenovo never followed up.
The second time we tried to get service, the incorrect parts were sent and it want not able to be repaired.
The Lenovo support experience is very poor. They do not respond in the timeframe that they say they will, and it is common that they never respond at all.
I feel bad that my daughter's first year of college was blighted by Lenovo's cheap technology, and I urge all potential Lenovo customers to look elsewhere. Based on our experience, the unit will likely fail in less than a year, and the customer support will do all they can to avoid resolution.
I`m not sure about the site, because I`ve been buying the products in my local stores. But Lenovo laptops and some phones have never let me down, good reliable devices. Though lately they are making them much more expensive - thats kind of a drawback.
I purchased a Thinkpad P1 with high resolution touch screen. It was pretty much the top of the range workstation laptop. If you want a high performance laptop I advise you shop elsewhere. There were no replacement parts available in Malaysia, so everything is shipped in taking weeks in most cases. Customer service is hopeless. Phonelines not working, connected to wrong departments, do not call back in a timely manner, cannot resolve any issues. They take your money for items stated as available but are actually which are not available, then cancel the order 2 weeks after placing the order and making payment. Then will take weeks to refund. An absolute disgrace!
Answer: They responded quickly to an online warranty claim, albeit with a denial of coverage. But the answer was very fast.
