I ride a restored 78 FXS. Have been purchasing from J&P Cycle since 2008. Customer service has always assisted me with all my issues and concerns. If I thought it would make a difference I'd ask J&P to bring back their Vintage Cycle publication. John
I received the pegs. However, there was no peg pin included. I now how to place an additional order for the pins. Not the end of the world, but i would expect matching chrome pegs with an item like this.

Ordered a K&N high flow air cleaner. It came in the package damaged. The air cleaner itself was scratched and chipped. It was also missing the air filter clamp ring as well. Not too happy but installed and working as expected.
Kit was short 1 qt of oil. Oil filter not as good as orig HD, gasket much smaller and had to retorque 3 times up to 23 ft lbs ( max 24) to seal. Did like the 17 mm nut so crankcase sensor safe. Called JP and they were great. Sent the missing oil and another filter. Overall I was satisfied and Customer Service was great
Changing bars and needed help on what length cable n brake line i needed. The online tech chat feature is amazing and super helpful to make sure there is no doubt that your getting exactly what you need to do what your trying to do.

These risers were the perfect thing for my wife's bike. Yes, These risers was for my wife's bike a 2013 Street bob. She absolutely loves them. She needed her bars to be closer to her but yet look good at the same time like the old saying goes happy wife, happy life thank you guys so much.
Upper shock mounts for my 1978 HD didn't include the nuts to fit. These don't break, they get lost or misplaced and usually with the matching nuts. Only difference is the replacement is metric and I am finding it difficult to find the large size, 16mm x 1.5? For $45 I expected a complete kit to instantly bolt up and mount the shocks, swing arm, rear wheel, etc.! I should've went to Butterfields MC here in Omaha NE!
Easy access to parts that are an exact fit. Variety of brands is also a plus. It's been a long time putting the bike back together, but the prices seem reasonable too.
I ordered a brand new battery and received it fully dead beyond charging. The cold Cranking amps were at 0 upon receipt and after putting it on the charger for 3 days it did not get above 2 CCA. Especially with batteries it's not hard to test them before you ship them out. Wastes time and money on both ends.
I've been using JP cycles for years, the prices are about the same, but I've always had great customer service with them, that's why I consistently use them. I rather have good service before anything else. Thanks JP

J&P has a great reputation and was the first site I went to when shopping for bike parts. The website is easy to navigate and shop for in stock parts to fit my bike. Quick turnaround to process my order, ship and have it delivered!
The search function on the website seems to be malfunctioning, it's like you have an AI trying to assist but it avoids the obvious answers. Also, once you enter your motorcycle information it deletes it or starts giving you crazy results that have nothing to do with your bike. It's like it's overthinking or something and it drives me crazy. For example if you search for a part it used to give the option to find the same part for your bike but now that function seems to have disappeared or doesn't work anymore. This is about the fourth of fifth time I've noticed the issues. I definitely look for other shopping options because of the functionality issues.
Instructions say the gauge was shipped with a "brass venting plug with rubber grommet". However, the part sited was not sent with the gauge (only the rubber plug seal). I've tried to find the part on line but no luck so far.
I had a lot of questions and anxiety over the exhaust I bought and and called a couple of times, so basically I was that customer that everybody dreads it turns out that the representative that I spoke with talked me off the ledge and I realized everything was good. It could've been more happy with the customer service and the product. Thank you to the customer service representative I had a deal with me. I have a hard time deal with me most days. 🤣🤣
I needed a mud flap for the front fender of my Road Glide. The design engineers at HD are more concerned about aestetics than functionality. The shortened fender looks cool, but it allows road debris, mud, water, sand etc to collect on the front of the engine.
I ordered the 4 inch clutch cable extension. I realized when I get home I needed the 6 inch. They already said it had been shipped out. They shipped me out the new 6 inch one and already emailed me about the return label for the 4 inch one. Very fast and friendly service.

Lost my beloved Harley in a garage fire. My gloves were of course in the tour pack. Replaced the bike and on an early morning ride it became obvious that I needed to replace my gloves. I found a pair of gloves and a pair of gauntlets that I liked. Gloves got here quickly, gauntlets took a while. Great quality in both pairs with nice leather. Wouldn't have hurt my feelings if the leather was a bit thicker though. Sizing seems a bit small, but expect they will stretch out a bit with wear.All in all, I'm impressed!
When I ordered it said 4 days. Using the tracking feature for 3 days it said it was coming the next day, then it did not show. 8 days when you said 4.
Although the contents appear okay, the oil change kit box was crushed on one corner along with the oil filter box inside. The shipping box looked fine. At this price point I was a little disappointed it left the warehouse in this condition

The current lead time is listed at about 8-10 business days to receive the item. As for the material, I do believe that it is a synthetic leather material but I cant find a direct answer to that on Cobra's site so I am not 100% sure.
