This course is terrible. The voice activation does not recognize my voice and is making me take the course over again. I don't have time for this. I called customer service several times and not one gets on the phone for over a 1/2 hour of waiting. Then they transfer you and you have to wait again for no one to pick up. Very disappointed and DO NOT recommend this course to anyone. I can't even get my money back cause no one will call back.
This provider is absolutely awful. It is a nightmare. It uses a voice recognition system in which the tech support lady told me straight forward that frequent failures are nothing out of the ordinary. Now that I have received the maximum amount of voice failures due to their awful system, it is requiring me to restart the course! Do not purchase from this provider!
I took the adult driving course and it was fine. I had no problems with voice recognition or any of that... a year ago. I have been trying to get my certificate for an entire year! Every time I get in touch with customer service, they get it "worked out" and tell me I should be receiving it within a few business days, then a week later I get a email stating "your certificate was returned to us!" The first time I even had to pay an extra $10 to get my address changed because THEY messed it up! I have moved since taking the course and they can not seem to get the correct address with the correct apartment number! It's either the new address with the old apartment number, or it's the other way around! It's like they are on purposely switching up my address! IT HAS BEEN AN ENTIRE YEAR! I'm starting to think I will never get my certificate and this course was a waste of money!
Do not sign up for this class. I took the test and failed with a 64%, took another one immediately and it scored me a 0%. So I emailed them and no response, I called and waited for 34 minutes! Until the specialist answered and said due to because I supposedly closed a browser on my computer it automatically failed me. I never closed the browser! I called them to tell them there was a glitch but he insisted there was not. The results from the questions and answers were from the first test! I think they are getting people with this so you can pay again to retest. Save your time and money. I will be looking for another online class.
I purchased a course in June. I have contact the company via email 3 times with no response. "*******@idrivesafely.com " Everytime I call in it's over 30 minutes I wait. I have yet to connect with someone to help me access the course that I purchased. Thank gosh I took a screen shot and have proof on my credit card because an email was never sent to me in regards to the course or my payment.
I am not impressed.
As I am on hold for the second time with idrivesafely I am writing this. The first time I was on hold for 17 minutes to talk to someone about being disconnected from the site and losing EVERY thing I had done to that point when me complaint call was dropped. Here I am again trying to get help and 12.17 minutes into still no answer. Plus the site is very long an boring
After reading other reviews I kind of got a little scared but, after all my experience wasn't as close to what the reviews brought out... The voice inspector didn't cause me any problems, the chapters did not freeze or stop and I received my certificate in 3 days which is so awesome. I recommend this site for drivers ed needers.
I paid the $75 dollars for driver's ed and was not told that there was 180 day limit to it. I called the service rep and she said that it was in the contract. I just looked at my contract and no where in there does it say that there is a cap. She said my only options were to pay and addition $20 to have it open for 30 more days but if I don't finish it in that time I'll have to pay an additional $20 until I do. I am a full time student and have a full time job, needless to say, I have very little free time and that time is spent taking care of errands, cleaning, cooking, and sleeping. The customer service rep was rude the whole time and treated me like I was an idiot or that I was being a b****. Do NOT use this site to fulfill your requirements. It is a total rip off and when you do call for help, the people are completely rude.
I don't know what voice recognition system they are using but it's failed me three times and customer service has been everything BUT HELPFUL. I've used IDriveSafely is the past and have done so with no problems at all. However this new "requirement" is ridiculous and absurd. I have to complete this defensive driving corse and this voice authentication system is preventing me from doing so. I'll have to go to the courts to get an extension. Ridiculous.
I took the video class for an extra $10, being a little ADD. I had some trouble and phoned in, it took about 10 min to get a person but when I did, (Shelly) my customer service person was awesome. She corrected a problem that I made by entering my license plate number wrong which was causing me to get identity questions wrong, and also told me I needed to use google chrome to get best quality on the videos. What a difference. Anyway, customer service was great, and the course is ok. I am still working on 2 of 6 chapters. There are quizzes in between the chapters. Little questions along the way to make sure you are watching and are who you say you are.
A little over a month ago, I completed the Drivers Defense course. I did all things correctly, faxing them forms and ect. When contacted, the customer support number was a nonworking number. I later received an email saying my paper work was 'incomplete' given no issues they found. Again, attempting the direct call to solve the matter was again unsuccessful EVEN the supposedly 'corporate office' number was a failure, it just kept hanging up on me. I am very displeased and pissed that my money was wasted and scammed from a site like this.
I had the same experience that others did in that the I Drive Safely course has an identity verification system that is doesnt work. It failed to recognize me and then i tried the keystroke system which also failed. I was kicked off the course and told to start from the beginning. "nothing we can do" is what I was told by "Customer Service". They blame it on NY state. Wont take responsibility for their own lousy software or third party vendor whoever is running the voice recognition thing. Terrible and soooo frustrating. I hate this company. Please don't waste your time with them.

Unfortunately, while the voice verification system is maintained by us, its requirements and parameters are set by the NY DMV itself. We cannot vary from these parameters or adjust the system in any way not in line with the state regulations, else we would no longer be able to offer course sin the Empire State. I took this as I moved and unfortunately got two tickets in a short time. I wanted to be proactive (it had been decades since I had a ticket!). I found it interesting and great refresher for me, in addition to learning about the laws in my new state.
Due to social distancing, I did this course online. I absolutely regret it. Their information was lacking, inaccurate and out of date. Much information for which dates were listed were at least 10 years old. The quizzes included several questions about specific statistics, out of date and not really relevant to safety issues. I didn't receive my certificate so I emailed them. I was told by them that they are closed and, essentially, tough luck. Their email stating I completed the course can't be accepted by my insurance agent and he's baffled why this company can't generate a certificate and put it in the mail. If I have to take another course before the backdate date expires, I will see them in court. I have filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney General and I am looking for other people who have been scammed to start a class action lawsuit.
I purchased the cdl training they said 100% money back guarantee. Guess what since i used it i don't get my money back. Mean you won't either.
Didn't help for cdl test at all. Don't waste ur money just read the book.

Purchased course for my son to get his permit. He was 18 when we signed up and completed the course within a few days. Afterwards he got email stating they couldn't send the cert and need his confirmation code which had already been provided to sign up. Then they said they wouldn't provide his cert since he is 18. In the state of Colorado you must have a permit first. No I can't get any response from a manager to resolve and requested a refund with no response back. Don't use the company if you want a complete product or customer service.
I completed my safety course three weeks ago, and still have not received my certificate. I really need this certificate for the discount from my insurance agency. The help section was not very helpful there is not even a help section for my needs and I couldn't find any contact information just an address but no phone numbers. Come on guys get your stuff together

Jeesus Christ... I too wish I checked the reviews. I am am currently sitting here and taking the defensive driving course which I have taken last time on a site that allowed me to go at my own pace. How I wish I didn't cheapen out and paid the $19.99 through Geico. I honestly feel it's been longer than 4hours. Why the $#*!ed timer! Site security is a joke too. The ask way too many personal questions am afraid my identity will be stolen. Honestly it's not worth the saving to go through this site! Keeping my fingers crossed I get the cert. Watching paint dry might be a quicker task! I honestly feel like quitting on Chapter 6 out of 8 this is agony, cut it as a bad loss.
How can I fail at my own voice? Please tell me that? I was nearly done and bam wasted my time and it went all the way back to the beginning. I have taken this course before and never did I have this issue. First year I used a land line, second year I used my cell. This year I only have the choice of using my cell. IT FAILED...? For that I'd rather go to a class or find something else. Unbelievable! I don't have time to waste. I am in school full-time and work full-time. I took this so I could do this in spare time and this is what happens? JUST no... How can it fail me for my voice... I still don't get that!
