Run from this company! You will see this review in many places because I want get the word out about how bad this company is! This was 1 of 3 companies our state was allowing homeschoolers to use for Drivers Ed (if in VA use FirstTimeDriver.com, same price and much better customer service). We paid for the course on Aug 19,2024, and the website said in 2 different places my son had 6 months to complete. On Feb 16, upon signing in to finish the 90 min parent/child portion, we are informed that the account expired. Customer service said we only had 180 days, which I explained is not the same thing as 6 months as August, October, December, and January have 31 days in them. Nowhere does the site say 180 days, only 6 months. During the time we had the account, the site has been down several times causing my son to not be able to log in. 24/7 customer service-NOPE, they are offline when you need them. Also, in the actual course, you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time per page (ex. Chap. 6 has 6 html pages with the average website textbook text. My son had to wait 40 mins before he could go to page 3 and on page 3 he had to wait 60 minutes before he could go to page 4. I thought he was exaggerating, so I sat with him and verified these times. My 3rd grader read page 3 in 15 mins and we still sat for another 45 before he could move on!) Chap 1 is all about getting a permit, but you have to have your permit before you can take this course! I could go on and on about what needs to be done better. But they will not give us the time I paid for, nor my money back. We were told we were out of luck, and I said I would review, so here it is. Choose ANY OTHER company, for your own sanity!
Have a student who graduated high school and would like an online class. However these people will only take homeschool students. He can't even audit. Their local partners don't even answer the phone. A totally unhelpful group.
This course has been nothing more than challenging! Not because of the information, but due to the lack of support from this company. Lots of unnecessary, scanning/faxing documents many times to be told they won't accept them because the look like a pic. Slow "chat process" that isn't even a chat, instead you send emails back and forth and wait sometimes for hours before a response. They work on west coast time, if you are on the east coast FORGET it!
They promise to send you certificate of completion in 7 business days, but if it doesn't arrive (which ours didn't) you have only 30 calendar days from the day you completed to notice and request a re-send. After that it's $15.
No tracking info was provided, so I can't prove that it never arrived (or was never sent at all) Looks like a $15 setup to me.
This program would not log our progress, would kick my son out randomly and then would lock him out of using the account. I thought that he was making the errors so I tried myself and ran into the same problems. When I called the company the customer service was terrible. I do NOT recommend.
We paid extra for reviews and other nickle and dime charges only for half of them to not work. Reviews of the chapter tests were coming back with server issues so our son couldn't even see the correct answers to questions he'd missed.
We paid for a digital certificate on completion, but clicking on the link resulted in a "invalid URL" error page.
Upon calling, we were informed that they don't even support WA except as instructional. Their certificate is useless for us. My wife and I tried to ensure we found a site that supported WA for our son. It was VERY unclear on their site and completely misleading.
Basically, find a different site. This one is horrible.
Son took classes on line. Passed. Supposed to send certificate but never got it. Had to have to schedule in person driving. Team driving got that but we never. Now team driving needs certificate to issue their certificate but we never got it and team driving doesn't have copy? But now drivers Ed to go wants another 15$ for copy?
Don't waste your time here.
To make it even cheaper: X37-46C-ME7. I realize others have said they had issues, but personally I had none and now have my driver's license, thanks to driveredtogo's certificate that allowed me to take the written exam at DMV in order to get permit.
Never use DRIVEREDTOGO.COM. DRIVEREDTOGO.COM is a terrible company and keeps nickel and diming us every 6 months on a program that is supposed to last until the student is 18 years old. We opted to start our son on his driver's ed online early at age 14 so we had time during COVID to work on it but every vacation period he goes to work on it, we have to deal with their customer service and they want another fee. One fee to extend it, one fee to change plans due to ongoing COVID situation and the need to have him do parent taught, then another fee for the permit form, and now another fee for extending the parent taught program! Do yourself a favor and start with Aceable.com. Please widely share this info with others.
This course satisfied my georgia joshua's law requirement and was really fast and easy, I'd recommend it to anyone
I Finnished the driving course they never sent my certificate pretty much stole my money! They don't return your voice mails Worst company ever. Filing a BBB COMPLAINT AS WE SPEAK!$
You pay for the delivery service you want. I took this course 2 weeks ago and i chose the simple dilevery methood which is $5 which said it would be shipped in 7 buissness days and to my surprise it came in 5 days. I was very pleased with everything. The course is fantastic it tells you everything you need to know about cars and driving them!
This course is compoused of 15 chapter which are about 6 pages long. You have to read each chapter carefully because there will be a 3 question test at the end of each chapter. Once you have finished reading those 15 chapters you are given the final test which i believe is about 46 questions. You have as many tries as you need to pass it. Once you have passed it the site says your certificate is being sent, and in about 5 days if you payed for the cheapest shipping it should be in your mail box.
I loved how this site offers the cheapest courses and is very legit!
And the best part is you can take the first 15 chapters without paying, so if you decide you don't like it you can switch to another site.
Give it a try i guarantee you won't regret it.
Plus if you type in this code at checkout
X32-BD4-49E
It will give you an additional $3 dollars off its already low price PLUS $5 off the drivers DVD if you chose to buy it!
I am a great driver but the things they teach here are unique items to this course and would not show up on a DMV DPS test. I can't pass their tests in the lessons and I have been driving for over 40 years. They teach concepts that are good but totally unnecessary to memorize and regurgitate like many classes in school or college. Math, history, chemistry, foreign language, English classes all have a base line. You can change schools and it shouldn't matter too much as you will be taught specific items that are similar to classes you took in the past. So should it be with this driving class. But instead, as a person who drives everyday of my life, I should be able to at least understand every question and have a good chance to guess the right answer because of my experience, just as a doctor can guess better about medical questions, and a lawyer can guess better about legal items, scientist, etc. So if you have been driving for 5 or more years, what is the answer to these real questions from their course work?
"How should you describe a large truck driving in your left mirror blind spot?
A. Closed rear area along your line of sight path
B. Closed rear area along your line of sight AND direction of travel paths
C. Open rear left area along your line of sight path
D. Closed rear left area along your line of sight AND direction of travel paths
What is the point? Are they trying to describe something for a police report or to a blind person? How does this make you a better driver or a beginning driver if you learn these terms according to their unique ways of describing it? I guarantee no driving examiner would fail you for not describing the truck behind you this way.
Bottom line, facts, terms and laws have already been established in every state that allow you to drive in them safely if you have a drivers license from any state. State tests are set on a base line. If you passed a test in one state, you will probably pass in another state. Don't teach things that are "Driveredtogo" go ideas or concepts.
"Any of the areas of vehicle operating space can be______."
A. Open, closed, or changing
B. Easy, risky, or correct
C. Visible, invisible, or neutral
D. Assessed, engaged, and selected
WTH? Regurgitate what we tell you and you will be a better driver? Heck no.
Don't waist my time with your driving theory and concepts you packaged up that are not universal.
