It was a great way to make a complex thing easy and efficient. I do recommend adding the option to "switch over" from computer to phone before a call if the website detects there is no webcam available. 100% will use again!

Signing up for ID ME may take a few minutes, you feel sure your information is protected. Once you sign up using it is easy. I have used this program for 2 years now and I am completely satisfied with it.
Id. Me was able to allow access to my details on SS. Gov web to review my personal details. Need more words to successfully submit this data. Not sure if this exceeds the character minimum, but let's hope so.
I was finally able to finish the set up but verification seemed to be a bit involved. This is possibly due to an abundance of caution, which is wise. Just allow time and be careful with instructions. Once it's done, it's very helpful!
As I started, I picked a time where I was totally able to dictate my time to this task with no interruptions. I also got familiar with the program and terminology prior to starting. I faced each area of questions focused and felt accomplishments when I saw the continue button to proceed. The instructions were carefully created to where the simplicity made it easy.
My experience has been great. I work at a hospital with very little time to shop. I do all my shopping online, and ID.me made it easy and convenient for me with many discounts to add. Thank you very much for this site.
First of all, I've never had to do this my entire life to file my taxes and get a PIN to sign my return. I used to just submit my information on the IRS website and get the PIN. It was very easy. Now, we have to take pictures of our personal documents and our faces to be mapped by computers. We have to talk to a stranger, who could be anybody, and then they have your information. I hope my information doesn't end up on the dark web, but what choice do I have if need to get my taxes filed.
Id. Me is such a need to have and easy and or great tool for adults to have in the United States. I had the following tool through my personal account using my very own personal cellular phone. So it's a very simple to acquire resolution to many government issued trouble

Instead, I've received misinformation & disinformation from some unprofessional officials in Ramsey County, Minnesota, who have systematically targeted my child & me out of prejudice & discriminatory retaliation. They've exploited our disabilities & vulnerabilities to mistreat us. Regrettably, systemic failures within the bureaucracy & a "blue wall of silence" have only worsened our situation. I've used ID me to get discounts on my phone plan since I'm a first responder, I've used it to get access to ssa. Gov as well, it's super secure. The process ti get my identity verified was super quick and easy it took about 10 minutes to get everything done.
Follow the instructions exactly as laid out and you'll make a clean pass at this process; don't attempt any shortcuts. This ID. Me has proven to be the most rigorous verification process I have ever encountered. This process could have, and should have, been put in place years ago. Thank you for taking this verification process seriously!
Apparently, when I did not turn off my VPN, I could not pass the final verification - the ten second verification took an indeterminable amount of time; never stopped and gave me a chance to correct the problem; and then locked me out of the otherwise verified account. I was stuck using a secondary, seldom used, seldom checked account. Very frustrating. If there is another option, try to avoid using ID.me (good luck with that, though!)
Hectic, but a sign of the times! I felt safe with my information, and I now realize that we all must be careful, while using the internet. I am always amazed at what can be done on the computer and appreciate what the different companies and especially our government is doing to keep us safe. Thank you again ID. Me!
I had tried to sign into ID. Me numerous times for about 6 months with no success. Today "I think" I was successful. Next time I try to sign in I should know for sure (?) if all was successful. To me, the whole complex signing in process is excessive for us old timers, compared to the simple signing in on other sensitive sites such as our banking sites. I hope changing passwords won't be as complex.
Allows easy access to Medicare, Social Security. Proved milItary service for Lowe's discount.
Too bad Home Depot and USAA Insurance do not use this service. It would allow quick access to those company services
Times have changed for the betterment of our personal information, likeness the list goes on I hope this will continue to make the changes as time passes keep up with the technology for all safety and security.
I did not have to go in the social security office administration due to having to make an appointment. I was able to set up this account with no problems and access to information I need for my housing I am very pleased with this service
I was obtaining an API key for USPTO. I was not looking forward to this painful and invasive process from ID.me.
Turns out my dad who's 81 years old could do it. Not that he did it, but it really was that simple. We were headed to dinner to meet up with our friends. I have this giant prostate, That is entirely another story but my point being I had to pee something fierce (Nothing new). I was able to get it done in a few minutes, Relieve myself and catch up with our friends. There was absolutely no issues with ID.me. It went fast enough that a 51-year-old guy with a giant prostate could do it in a few minutes

ID.me is a perfect way to interact with participating federal agencies. You set up your account with facial recognition and 2 factor verification, signing, and off you go to accomplishing your goal. Right now the IRS is set up on it to make filing taxes easier.
I needed to sign up with ID. Me to access my Socia Security information. The steps to follow were extremely easy, the entire process only took about 10 minutes. The site can tell if the picture ID you are uploading is legible and clear. I feel secure with this site. I currently use it with my patients as well, and I always feel confident that their privacy is protected.

It began when ID.me’s CEO and founder Blake Hall, a decorated Army Ranger, watched a military veteran display their DD214 separation paperwork to a store employee to claim a military discount. The document held far more information than was needed to verify military service. Exposing so much personal information for a single benefit was risky and unnecessary. There had to be a better way.
