Glyde is a site that aims to make buying and selling on the internet a simple matter. In that sense, it has a very straightforward goal and it meets that goal admirably. The thing about Glyde is that it really has the "set it and forget it" attitude.

Signing up is a breeze. Add your contact info and bank info. List what you want to sell, then sit back. You'll be contacted when your item sells and Glyde will send out one of their custom mailers. You'll receive and envelope containing a bubble package for you to put the item in. It's already pre-addressed for your use. When the buyer receives it, they accept the stated condition and you get your money with fees taken out for the mailer and Glyde's cut.

The fees do seem steep, especially if the item you're selling is cheap, but you really are paying for convenience.

My one issues with Glyde is that there is little buyer protection in the sense that you don't know who you're buying things from. They have no seller rating and are completely anonymous. You could buy a game listed as Excellent, then get it in very bad shape. When this happens, Glyde has you and the seller split shipping costs to send it back, which is fair, but it sucks knowing that a few bucks just went to waste.

Glyde gets the blame for a lot of issues, but they're really just the middle-man in a system that makes it stupidly easy to buy and sell video games/movies/etc.

Overall, I recommend Glyde so long as you're patient when you buy and sell (You have to wait for a mailer to get to the seller, then the seller has to ship it to the buyer. This could take up to 2 weeks, but hat's uncommon in my experience)

Glyde is worth checking out for its simplicity alone: http://gly.de/h/ubvllg

I am SO pleased with Glyde! I ordered a work out DVD and it never arrived... apparently the seller didn't send it or something. And the Glyde folks were so great... they event provided a coupon code so I could still get the discount I got when I ordered the first time!

I ordered a work out DVD the 2nd time around and it arrived so quickly!

Very pleased! :)

I love using this site. It is a far better site for selling your used games. You get more money than selling with gamestop. I like that the prices are better, too.
Almost all my transactions have been successful, and for the one's that I've had problems with, I simply email the support team and they guide you trough the resolution process. If your looking to save some money, I recommend this site.

This site is definitely amazing. I mean, you can get quite popular consumer goods for up to 84% off, give or take a little. I bought a $59.99 game for $38 + shipping. Thing is though, I had to buy it twice, BUT HERE IS WHY. When I bought the game, it ends up, a few hours afterwards, the seller pulled his game from the glyde market. You have to understand people, this site is an updated version of Ebay. People put their items for sale through Glyde, and Glyde only takes 12% of the profits. Whether it gets to you or not is not the fault of the company, but of the seller. Anyways, not even 24 hours later, the head of the costumer service department, Linda, contacted me with a offer that even though the seller pulled his game from the market, Glyde would refund me the full payment (41.50), which they did, and they got their hands on an even more expensive version of the game, which they would give me for the same exact price I would've paid for the other one, and they would pay the price differences. Customer service is there for you. I actually kept up a conversation with Linda that lasted over a few days. The Customer Service is NOT nonexistent. However, the offer would only last for a day. My email was giving me problems, so I was not able to respond in time. I learned of the offer three days later, and contacted her to see if the offer was on the table. Sadly, she said that they couldn't hold onto it, but for my trouble, they gave me a $5.00 off coupon for the next time I buy something on the site. I then went to buy the same game for a second time, and so far, the seller is to get the mailing kit on 6/20. Eagerly waiting for my game, and may I just say, Glyde is a wonderful service that allows for its customers to buy games, ipods, ipads, kindles, and even phones for **up to** 90% off! I bought my game for about 64% off! And no, I am not a paid plugger, and I'm not someone from the business that's trying to push their website. I'm simply a 15 year-old that chose to use this site to buy his game, and plans to do so again and again and again for months if not years to come.

I haven't placed many orders yet with Glyde, but I have had nothing but good experiences thus far. Also on the occasion where I found it necessary to contact their customer service people, I was pleased to find quite rapid response time, the cs rep was VERY pleasant to deal with, resolved my issue quickly and to my satisfaction, AND also went the extra mile to ensure that I was a happy customer.

I also had a pleasant surprise when they went "above and beyond" to look into an order that wasn't shipped quickly enough (without my contacting them), and emailed me with an update after they confirmed shipment of my order by the seller. These days, customer service like this is rare, and greatly appreciated.

I've been selling and buying games from this site for a good year now and have not regret a single thing about it. Their service is awesome and I highly recommend at least trying it out. I do a gaming broadcast from Mon - Friday every week and am constantly mentioning Glyde on there. They don't pay me to say this, I just love the service that much! =)

I have used Glyde.com twice now and both times have been a "pain free" experience. They have fantastic customer service and it's a great place to get used games. The site is very well executed and super easy to navigate. I defiantly would recommend this site to anyone buying used games (or electronics, although I have not bought any electronics from them).

I purchased an iPhone 4 through glyde.com (4/12.) The company sent a 'follow-up' email asking if I was satisfied with the stated condition and functions of this iPhone after delivery. The condition was 'excellent' but I had a problem with the phone not 'vibrating' for incoming text messages. I responded to their follow-up email (within the required 48 hour limit) with my 'complaint' and a very dedicated Customer Service representative worked with me to
Resolve the problem. She actually did on-line research for this particular problem on Apple.com and offered a suggestion that eventually resolved the entire issue (she advised me to go the the Apple Store and the 'genius' there found it to be a 'Settings' problem.) I was so impressed by her prompt and thorough responses to my emails that I contacted her supervisor to comment on her professional manner and efforts to ensure my 'Customer Satisfaction!' I am writing this review as a result of my very positive
Experience with glyde.com.

This site is a rip off in progress. They were so happy to tell me that my iPad had sold at a great price but three weeks later I got a notice that the customer was returning the unit because it didn't meet their expectations. It was a used but only about a dozen times. That's why I wanted to sell it. It was in the original box with no scars and wiped clean just like instructed. Even if I do ever get it back, how do I prove that any damage was not there when I sent it? This is a bad idea. Don't do it!

Was more than a little apprehensive about purchasing Ipod until I received it. Ipod not only looks brand new but individual sent silicon case and armband as well. Saved me a lot of $$$ by utilizing GLYDE and hope your experience is as good as mine should you decide to give them a try.

I read through the policies and it just doesn't make sense, it's stupid and shady. They charge the buyer say $3.75 shipping + $cost of the game/item. But for the seller they take out the usual selling fees PLUS a mailer fee of say $1.75 all from the cost of your game/item (this is not including the original shipping cost they charged the buyer already. As the seller you get none of that since glyde "graciously" sends you a self addressed mailer that they charged the buyer AND apparently the seller.)

It makes absolutely no sense to take out MAILING fees from the product you are selling. That should have been handled and included in the shipping and handling costs that were ALREADY CHARGED. The only time a seller should be charged shipping on their product is if shipping cost was free, then logically you'd HAVE to deduct it from your total earnings to ship. If shipping was charged there should be no reason. This practice is disgusting. I'm sticking to ebay/amazon/half.com and shipping my own items. I don't need your stupid, unsecure, shady mailers. At least when I ship my own items I can I can prove to people who give a damn (like Paypal) that items have been shipped out safely you crooks.

Sold a Samsung S II that was in excellent condition. Was in factory reset mode and fully charged. Buyer rejected sale and sent back. When I received the phone back, it had been used and did not accept a charge or work. Clearly the buyer had used it and damaged it by trying to upgrade the firmware. Sent emails to Glyde customer service with no response. Now I have a damaged phone, worth $350, that I cannot resell or use again. Asking for full sales price to be credited to me. Will update

I never even heard of Glyde until last week, I found the cheapest copy of Saints Row the Third on the website. I was a little skeptical, but decided to risk the it. They immediately gave me a tracking number and the game came in two days earlier. Thanks!

Like so many other websites out there that promise the moon and give you dust or down the line you are suddenly plagued with unathorized charges on your credit card I was leary of this one site. The term "too good to be true" rang out but they actually came through with the product as advertised and when one of the items was missing they quickly responded to my email and in turn contacted the seller. The seller immediately sent out the missing part and all is well. Unless I start getting odd charges on my cc I think that I will come to this site before I go to ebay or amazon. Good Job Glyde!

I bought a first generation iPad through Glyde. I was very happy with the condition of the iPad - it was in excellent condition for a very good price. Shipping was very good - arrived a couple of days earlier than I thought. Seller did not include one USB cable in the box, but that was not Glyde's fault. I would buy from Glyde again.

I ordered an Apple iPad2 over a week ago with an estimated delivery date of 3/19/12 according to the delivery confirmation email that I received on Saturday - 3/17/12. Everything seemed fine until I NEVER GOT MY ORDER. It is now Friday, 3/23/12. I emailed the orders department repeatedly to inquire about my shipment status. The last response I received just said that this non-delivery problem was a very rare situation without offering any more information as to when I would get my package. I had to call USPS myself repeated only to find out that my package is being returned to the sender now - WHAT (no reason given)?

The heartbreaking thing for me is that this was for my 9yr old daughter who has been anxiously waiting all week for her iPad. I called Glyde (only after my bank gave me their number - *******262) and got a recorded message saying that if I left a message they WOULD NOT return my call. WHAT AGAIN?

I've never had such a problem with ordering anything online (& I order quite a bit). Glyde.com is crappy!

Due to Glyde.com's extremely poor service, I have just filed a claim with my bank to have my money returned to me - ALL OF IT!

The first time I ordered the seller rescinded the sell, because of that I lost the time sensitive coupon code. They held the pre-authorized funds on my credit card for 10 days, which prevented me from buying a replacement during that time. Then the second purchase was "flagged" for verification in which they asked for extensive personal information via email, which I reluctantly supplied, then rather than calling me (which they stated they would do if there was a problem) they simply cancelled the order and suspended my account. I have been jerked around by this company now for 4 weeks and I could have purchased something flawlessly from a known seller. I do not recommend glyde.com.

Hello Larry. This is Kevin form Glyde's Customer Service Department. I am very sorry to hear about your ordeal. We have attempted to make thing right with you after your most recent correspondence with us, and I hope that we have.

Also, it is important to note that we do not hold any pre-authorized funds. The length of time pre-authorized funds are held lies solely within the pending charges policy of bank which issued the credit/debit card.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Kevin

Just last week on 2/2/12, I ordered Pokemon White. I went on the site to check the shipping details today, and it says i haven't made any transactions. Then, I check my account and it tells me Pokemon White Version: refund (purchased 2/2). So, I check the balance on my card and its transaction history and guess what, the money was still missing. They do not respond to email and so far, there is no way i can get my money back... do not shop at this site!
