I paid over $150 for a phone and received an empty box.
HOWEVER in the end it was all a big human error. The shipping box they should have sent to the seller with my address label inside, instead went to me with the seller's shipping label inside. Glyde admitted the error, offered to let me continue or cancel the transaction, and refunded my shipping charge when I went ahead with the deal. I'm pleased with the phone. One ding for the original goof, but 4 for getting it all straightened out.

This site is horrible
October 9, 2013

This site is horrible. I tried three times to sell my old iphone and they kept suspending my account saying I had one already open. I told them no I did not have one open and no one in the house had one either. But still the jerk close my account. Never go to a site like this to sell your items that are a waste of time and rude management. Horrible piece of $#*! website every made.

Terrible site!
July 15, 2013

Terrible site! I have been using Glyde for about 5 years now on and off. I have gotten a few good deals but the process is painfully slow! On about 5 ocasions I never got the game I purchased. Although i was eventually refunded the process took 4-6 weeks to resolve. Stay AWAY!

I got a great phone from Glyde. Unfortunately I had not realized that I could not take the phone with me overseas to use unlocked. However, I contacted Glyde to ask for a refund. They accidentally quoted me a higher refund price than they ought to have, and because of their mistake they gave me that higher refund. They were extremely honest, helpful, and focused on customer service throughout. An upstanding company that I will recommend to anyone in need of electronics that they offer.

I bought two phones from Glyde, 4 hours apart, both Galaxy 4G, on June 26. I could see on their tracking that the seller (sellers?) received their shipping kit on June 29. Yet the phones were not shipped out right away, so I emailed them on 7/3. I was told by TWO separate customer service people that they "confirmed with the seller that both phones were shipped that day". On July 5th there was STILL no USPS tracking info, contacted them again, and told again they were both shipped out. Today (7/8) I received ONE phone, the other still shows it's not sent. Contacted them AGAIN, and just now got an email that "they made a mistake" and "there never was a second phone" and they're oh-so sorry. How can Glyde supposedly contact a seller and "confirm" something is sent when it doesn't exist? THEY LIED TO ME on 3 separate occasions and now, two weeks later, I have to find another phone. Oh, they offered me "free shipping" on my next order.
AVOID THIS PLACE. Shop at Swappa!

I bought two iPhone 3GS phones. They came in 5 days well packaged and in excellent condition with all charging accessories. Glyde sent a couple of emails informing me when the packaging arrived at the seller, when the phones shipped, etc.

I'll be in the market for an iPad soon and will definitely be looking to Glyde to find me one that I can afford.

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy s2 from this site, the phone arrived in Great condition, unfortunately the phone had been previously rooted and I couldn't get data to work correctly. I was scared they wouldn't refund it because I was out of there refund policy period, but to my surprise they not only refunded me completely, but also paid for the phone to be shipped back. Great customer service, look forward to recommending them to my friends.

So far I've had a less than satisfying experience with Glyde. Listed my product and within 48hrs, I received an email saying my Nexus 7 sold. Within three days received the USPS mailer. That day I packaged up my Nexus 7 and put it back into the mail the next day. In two days it "arrived" at the address on the pre-printed Glyde label... only to have an exception "Undeliverable as Addressed". Since then, it has bounced up and down the coast of California for the past five days. With an "undeliverable" address, I have to wonder whether the transaction was legit or not. I've emailed Glyde and am still awaiting a response from them. Once I get one, I'll update this review. Hopefully I'll get my Nexus 7 back. Eventually. :/

I've both bought and sold a ton (50+ items) on Glyde; Xbox 360 games, PS3 games, and DVD's. Shipping times are a little long, but you have to keep in mind the fact that they send an envelope with the envelope in it, then the seller sends that out. So it's really two shipping periods, and it's somewhat dependent on if the seller is an asshat or not. It's really more of and online consignment shop than anything else, and in that respect it does a fantastic job.

My phone arrived the day after purchase. Rated "good" condition on site, but I'd have probably tried to pass it off as "excellent" if I were the sell (which is to say, phone was in better shape than I could have expected/hoped for). And then a week later, another phone arrived that I hadn't ordered. Contacted glyde about it. Next day, they sent me a return box. Simple mix up, no big deal, no charge. Excellent product, excellent service, excellent experience.

Great site!
February 27, 2013

Great site! I sold my iPhone 3GS and got much more than I was expecting. The price was actually close to what my upgrade for the 4s cost, so I basically got a new phone for free. They even send you the padded packaging and address label which makes it completely hassle free. Compared to Gazelle and other sites I researched, Glyde pays much more because individuals are buying them. It is basically is like Craigslist without the hassle.

I ordered an iPhone 4 on Feb 2. On Feb 11, received an email from Glyde Customer Service that the seller decided to "cancel their sale". They promised another phone of the same condition and price. Now, a week later - I'm still waiting. Even if the phone does eventually arrive, I'd say buyer beware - they just seem unreliable.

I used this site to sell a few games and things went smoothly so I decided to try bigger things. So I bought an iPad and it was kind of rocky with package getting lost and Glydes customer service was no help at all. I chocked that one up to a postal error and not really Glydes fault. Later on I decided to try and sell an iPhone 4, that went badly. The first hint I had that something was up was when they gave the buyer an unusually long return period. No big deal, maybe they changed their policy. Finally after a long wait Glyde released the payment to me only to pull it back a few hours later claiming the buyer had an issue with the phone. They paid me, then took it back. I know the phone was fine, but if the buyer got cold feet whatever that's his choice. However the long return period followed by making the payment only to take it back was seriously messed up. Glyde then assured me that they would have my phone returned to me. It's been more than two weeks and my phone has not arrived. I have emailed them to no response. At this point I am forced to believe that they have ripped me off and are now trying to sweep it under the rug. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICES! You have been warned.

Glyde is an amazing site great deals on items and if anything ever goes wrong amazing customer service. I had a customer service agent named Peggy who was the sweetest and most caring agent really helped me with an order. To her I say thank you. Glyde now has a long term customer.

I've sold many games here. It is Extremely simple. You might get slightly more elsewhere for some of the lower priced games, but this makes it incredibly easy. I've sold about $70 worth of games that were only worth 2-10 dollars each. Gamestop wouldn't take Any of them.

I recently had an issue that was actually my fault for not paying too much attention. I preordered a game that came with extra things, but the seller didn't send the code. I wrote glyde and they took care of the issue for me, even though it wasn't Really their problem. That's good customer service. I will continue to use them.

Since I didn't see many phone reviews for Glyde.com and I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy SII a couple of days ago. I will keep you up-to-date on its progress and we can all see how Glyde does in my experience. This is my first time purchasing from Glyde. I got a confirmation right after purchasing 10/17/12. Today 10/19/12 when I checked status it states, "Seller to receive shipping kit on 10/24/12". So, not blazing fast so far, but have had slower shipments before.

Put up some games for sale, lets you know how much you're going to get after tax and shipping. However, I am getting less than what they originally promised and they are saying that I am the one who messed up. I used their "Fair Market Price" for a game in excellent condition ($40.75), they said I used $30.75. Why would I ask for less on a game that I only played twice?

I've been using glyde.com now since February 2010. My first transactions were to sell some DVDs, but the majority of the approximately 30 transactions I've completed have been buying and selling games. I've never had a bad experience with the site and have found them to be responsive when I've needed to contact them.

Just so you're clear, you are not buying an item directly from glyde. The site functions as an intermediary, bringing together people who are selling certain goods (books, DVDs, games, some electronics, etc) with people who want to buy those goods. When a buyer opts to purchase something from a seller, the buyer's money is held by glyde while the transaction is completed between buyer and seller. A prepaid mailer is sent to the seller, the seller puts the purchased item(s) into the mailer and sends it via USPS to the buyer. The buyer has 48 hours upon receipt of the item to verify to glyde that it is the item they expected, in the condition they expected. At that time, glyde releases the money to the seller's glyde account, and the seller can then either leave the money in the account for future purchases, or withdraw the money to their own bank account.

There are policies in place to protect both buyer and seller, and so far, I've not run into a problem. I have, on one occasion, had a seller not ship the item I purchased. Glyde handled the situation perfectly, refunding me my money once the seller's shipping deadline had passed.

I have found them to be very responsive as well. Granted, they don't provide a phone number for direct contact to their customer service department, but on the one occasion I needed their assistance, they responded as quickly as could be expected. I had items listed for sale that had not sold. I was scheduled to go on a vacation, and figured I could leave the items for sale since it seemed unlikely they would sell any time soon. Of course, that means they both sold while I was on my flight. I emailed glyde's customer service, explaining my predicament - I had left on vacation, 2 items had sold, I would be back in 6 days but didn't know if that would fall outside of the deadline for me to ship the games. I had a response back within a few hours, outlining the steps the customer service rep would take. Unfortunately, the 2 sales had to be cancelled, as I would not get back home soon enough to send the items. However, the customer service rep let me know she would waive the fees associated with non-shipment since I had notified them so quickly about my situation. She also put a hold on my account so that no other items would sell, and let me know that the hold could be removed as soon as I returned from my trip.

Overall, I really can't say enough positive things about glyde.com. I far prefer selling my games directly to another buyer and getting (relatively) top dollar as opposed to taking my games to a store like GameStop where I'd get a fraction of their value.
