The site works well and is very easy to use. Would like to see the selling fees reduced as they're a bit high.

My experience with Glyde has been exceptional. The phone I purchased had not been de registered and the Glyde rep was great about making that happen. Good customer service.

My initial review was negative because I was a little uneasy about dealing with them for the first time after reading other reviews so I thought I was gonna get ripped off, but I've sold a kindle and an android and received my payments so I'm a happy camper. A customer service number would probably give people a peace of mind!

I bought a game and a phone from this website and have not been disappointed. The phone was almost 50$ cheaper than anywhere else I looked. The phone was an iPhone and the Apple ID was still linked to the original owner. But Christine from customer service was able to help. Within 24 hours I was able to activate my phone.

Ruined about four of my days. I had the same experience as many others about these guys not being able to process my credit cards. Got several e-mails saying my purchase was complete, then it was not complete, then my account was on hold. No phone number to call.

Even though there is no phone number to call for customer service, I received prompt and very helpful service by email in returning an iPhone that arrived with damaged speakers. Thanks Christine! I would buy again from Glyde.

I just sold my iPod Touch 5G on Glyde. It sold within 24 hours and I pocket $50 more than selling it on Gazelle. It does take quite awhile for them to send the shipping package because they constantly hound you to accept the sale. It is obvious I accept, I am trying to sell! It is one unnecessary step that would cut out delays. They send you the package with a return label, you drop it in the mail = very easy. This part of the process is flawless, it is waiting on the buyer to accept. If they don't, you will be facing all kinds of hassles. Luckily mine did and I received payment in my checking account. Easy. As long as you don't send junk you should be fine.

Terrible experience
March 25, 2014

Terrible experience. This website is sketchy. First they don't have a phone number. Second, they take forever to respond to emails. Third, it took me SIX ORDERS to finally get one the seller didn't cancel. When I got the iPhone(it took 2 weeks) the seller had activation lock on it so it couldn't be activated,

I would never ever buy off this website it is beyond sketchy. How can you have SIX ORDERS cancel? Then not be able to call them.

Terrible company.

I purchased an iPhone on glyde and it was a terrible experience. Processing a simple credit card transaction took over a week -- I received 2 emails: one saying my order was successful and the product was on the way; a second saying it had been cancelled because I never responded to them (I had exchanged emails 5 times already). Terrible customer service. 2 days to respond to each inquiry. No phone number. Will not survive.

Within a two week time span I've had not one but two game purchases never arrive despite the seller kits apparently having arrived at the seller's house days ago, with no attempt on their behalf to mail me what I paid for. After sending numerous emails I finally got a reply saying customer service was looking into the problem and to not send any more emails unless I had a question. The audacity for a company to ignore their loyal customers and finally give them a brush off reply like this is beyond me. I should have known better than to conduct business with a site with no customer service number. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD AVOID THIS SITE.

I have only used Glyde once and with very positive results. I listed a phone with them and they offered a suggested selling price. I lowered the price by about 15% and it sold within minutes. The questionaire regarding the product is very simple and straight forward. The whole process is based on trust in the integerity of the seller and buyer and gives the buyer 48 hours to verify that the product meets their expectations. The process is not perfect but works well. It would be of benefit if a brief statement about the product buy the seller was allowed.

I listed my Apple iPhone 5, AT&T - 32GB in excellent condition and agreed to sell it for $332 for a net to me approximately $298. Next I received an email stating their buyer rejected my phone because it was not in excellent condition. This was preposterous! That phone had the Zagg front & rear shields applied immediately when it was taken out of the box new. The glass front was pristine with only minor wear on the edges from slipping in and out of my pocket. Katie at Glyde suggested I accept a lower amount to which I suggested they are a bait & switch sham operation. Now totally skeptical I was relieved when my phone was returned in the same condition I sent it. The next day I took it to at&t who appraised it in excellent condition and paid me $310 on the spot. I don't know what their story is over at Glyde but I would advise anyone to avoid doing business with them not only because they do not honor their commitments but because their customer service is virtually non existent except for next day email response.

My husband and I switched services, so we bought two phones through Glyde. When we received our phones, all was well... at first. About four or five days after getting my phone, it turned off. I tried turning it back on, but it stayed off. Then, I tried plugging it in to see if it had died. The phone remained off all day and all night. My husband and I tried everything to turn it back on, but it remained off. I got on the Glyde website so that I could contact someone about returning the phone. I found out that there is a 48 hour exchange policy. I sent an email expressing how frustrated I was, meanwhile, my husband ordered me a new phone. I received a reply about the problem I was having. The woman told me that they would make a one time exception and offer me a refund if I returned the phone. I was thrilled. I waited for my new phone and the box kit I would return the old phone with. I received them both on the same day about a week later. So, that means I was without a phone of any kind for a week. When I tried to activate my new phone, I was told that I couldn't since the ESN number was active on someone else's account. I got online and emailed Glyde about the issue. I was told they would contact the previous phone's owner. Two days have passed. I have yet to hear back. I have emailed Glyde two more times, but have had no answer. I still have no working phone to use. I would not recommend Glyde to anyone.

Bought a phone from Glyde and it was supposed to arrive this week. Tracking said the seller had the shipping info for quite some time, but no activity. Sent Glyde an inquiry to note that if it did not arrive close to the time it was promised, would have scheduling problems with their 48-hour verification rule and would expect a time extension. They promptly responded that if the seller didn't send by this week, they would cancel my order. So, I will be sitting for weeks on end without a working phone. Wonderful. Only went to Glyde because it was promoted by the wireless provider I was considering using. Not impressed at all with this transaction. Won't repeat if it falls through.

I signed up with Glyde months ago and have been watching for the right iPad at the right price. When I found it, I chose the buyer button. I filled out all the requested info and credit card info. Almost immediately I received a confirmation number and email to confirm my purchase and expected arrival date. The next day they sent me an email saying they needed more info but it sat in my inbox for one day. I then responded within 24 hours, but by then they suspended my account and cancelled my order! All my time searching was wasted! Why didn't they get all the info they needed when I was checking out? Poor customer service! Their email had no customer service contact number to resolve the issue. I have responded to there email with all the requested info and asked them for a return call to discuss the matter. (crickets) No return call as of yet? Currently, I wouldn't buy toilet paper from them to wipe my a$$.

Seller beware
November 29, 2013

Seller beware. Glyde operates like eBay. They list your product and when there is a winning bid, they send you a mailer to ship directly to the buyer. However, the buyer can return the item for any reason.

The entire buyer side is hidden from sellers, and disputes are expressly not managed by Glyde. It is between you and an unknown party. And you the seller are stuck with the problem. You end up holding the bag for whatever Glyde did wrong in the customer experience.

BTW, Glyde publishes no phone number. And they stop responding to emails after a while.

I recommend that sellers steer clear of this outfit. EBay is preferable, or a company like PowerOn.

These people don't vet their sellers! Much worse than eBay and at least eBay has guarantees that protect the buyer. I "bought" a smartphone that I kept complaining to Glyde wasn't showing up at my house, and their customer service people said that delays are 'rare' and to just wait a bit longer. Three weeks later I still didn't have the phone and so finally, Glyde support said they'd cancel the order and that the seller may not have ever sent the phone. I was waiting the whole time and there was no tracking, not a peep from the seller. It's a very poor system and you should avoid it!

I purchased an HTC One on Glyde that was listed as excellent condition. I was given an estimated arrival date and was told that I would have 48 hours to review the device. Unfortunately I was scheduled to be out of town the day the phone arrived. I contacted customer support and they were glad to work with me and allowed me to review the phone when I got back in town. Upon receiving the phone, I noticed that it was not in excellent condition, but could have passed for good due to numerous scratches and dents. I informed customer support and they contacted the seller to try and adjust to price to the value for a good phone. The seller did not budge (I didn't expect him to if he already lied about the condition) so they gave me a small credit for my inconvenience.
The customer service team is amazing, I just wish there was a way to review the phone prior to purchasing it or to have an outside party verify the condition.
