I had an older iPhone and it finally died on me. Rather than go through the new contract or pay $800 I thought I'd try Gazelle and found a good deal. Worst choice I could've made and shame on me for thinking this was the way to go! I never received a tracking email to even track my package! I paid for overnight delivery and still haven't received the phone. I called right when they opened today and sat on hold for some time. The representative wasn't helpful at all and wanted to get me off of the phone. She said there have been numerous delays and she'll expedite it but can't tell me when my order will be sent because "she doesn't know what's going on at the warehouse." Waiting to call back and speak with a supervisor (who's info couldn't be provided on my original call) Never go through Gazelle, they are full of it.
I sent two devices in. The acknowledged and paid for one. Not a peep about the other. Contacted them via the web site. The said we'll get back to you in 24 hrs. Never heard back from them.
NEVER AGAIN
I depend on having a smart phone for work, and when mine broke, I was excited to find a reasonable deal on Gazelle. Ordered a Verizon iPhone 5s and paid for 2-day shipping, arrived on the 4th business day. Then I opened the package and saw that it was an AT&T iPhone 6. Called customer service, and they said they couldn't send me the correct phone; I needed to place a whole new order. So messed up!
This was my second time selling a device on Gazelle and it was fast and easy! I would definitely recommend using Gazelle due to the easiness of the selling process and the nice payout amounts.
Things went very smooth and I like the option of getting an Amazon gift card. Very handy to have that. Working towards 100 characters. Having to write a 100 character review is a bit blah :)
I have used Gazelle twice now, and will in the future when I have a device to sell. They quote a fair price and send your payment quickly.
I have now use Gazelle for three separate transactions. This website makes the experience extremely simple. I highly recommend their service to anyone interested in getting a little cash for a useless smart phone or tablet.
I have successfully used Gazelle.com in the past to sell two Apple devices. I received the quoted amount and was satisfied. However, recently I sent them an iPad Pro 256GB (perfect condition) and they incorrectly evaluated it as an iPad Pro 32GB (with scratches and dents too) and wanted to lower my quoted amount by $105. I was not pleased with the new amount and called customer service. Gazelle, to their credit, did resolve this issue by giving me the original quoted amount after a series of phone calls and an agreement to re-evaluate my iPad Pro.
Even though my situation was successfully resolved, the whole time I was negotiating with Gazelle about my iPad Pro, I wished I'd taken pictures of it to document the condition and serial number. If needed, this would have made it much easier for me to prove what exactly I sent in and its condition.
Here is some advice if you decide to sell to them:
1. Take pictures of the serial number of your device
2. Take pictures of the over-all device condition
3. Take pictures of the device packaging
4. If possible, video the box being taped up and delivered to mail drop.
All of this makes it easier to prove what you sent in to them and what condition it was in when you mailed or shipped it.
They lost my phone after claiming it did not turn on. Would not respond to emails. Had to call four times to get an answer. And then they failed to escalate, another call, and claims person was curt.
Had great experiences in the past. Seems like some type of growing or operational pains.
I received the phone (An Iphone 6 64GB) and it wasn't responding to my touch so I called the company right away and they told me to check it with my carrier. The guy in there helped me and everything was working fine. The next day started again. I couldn't make it work. I kept on touching the screen and nothing happened. Now I will need to return it and get a new one. I know these are used phones but I paid with shipping and everything $350 for an item IT DOESN'T WORK. So disappointing.
Gazelle makes selling your cell phone super simple & fool proof. This is the 2nd time I've used them & I would feel very comfortable recommending them to anybody
My cell phone broke randomly and I was stuck paying it off/buying a new one. I was so annoyed. The sales man told me about Gazelle. They paid for my old phone and three installment payments worth of my phone. It's so easy, it's dumb not to sell your old phones! Do it!
I sent in a water damaged Iphone 6S 64GB that they said I would get $65 for. Gazelle wrote me saying it was only like a 16GB (which they don't even make in an Iphone 6) so now my offer is $20. I told them to send me the phone back and I have spoken to Sue, Thomas, Ryan - all senior reps and I still don't have my phone back! I will never sell to Gazelle again. Try Buybackboss. They were great the last time I worked with them! I will call them everyday until I get my phone back to sell to another retailer.
I have sold my used iPads and iPhones using various methods. I have sold devices on eBay, to family and friends and twice to Gazelle. Dealing with Gazelle has been easy, prompt and straight forward. If your satisfied with their offer for your device I strongly suggest you use Gazelle.
Sent them my broken iPhone 6s. They refused to keep their original estimated value. Adjusted the offer to ZERO and said it was not actually an IPhone 6s, but actually a "parts only cell phone". That's a lie. I bought the iPhone through ATT and paid $900 for it. I know what it is. How about this: I think Gazelle is actually a "scam."
I have used Gazelle many times over the years and I am never disappointed. They are incredibly fast at getting the box to me, and the instructions are clear and easy on how to prepare the device. I get email updates all along the way and my check arrives promptly. HIGHLY recommend, and will continue to use Gazelle.
This is the second time I have used Gazelle. The first time I sold back a couple of iPhone 5's. I just sold my 6s. Gazelle is what they advertise, and they are great to work with. Got the envelope quickly, and the check came pretty quick as well. Take care of your phone, and sell it back... quickly. And use these folks. I highly recommend!
I had to call 3 times to trigger the Box to be shipped... a lot of time of my time and not ease of use. Be happy to share more.
Sent my i phone 6 as instructed and after a month of no money i emailed them and got no response. When i investigated on their site track my payment they said its being recycled and no money. Total bull$#*! the phone still worked! I just got a i 7 because the screen was broken on the i6.
I paid for 2 day shipping in the early AM, but when I got the box I found they'd shipped in the late PM 4 days after my order using 3 day shipping.
They lied to me when I called on the third & fourth days asking where the package was by telling me they'd shipped it late. But their FEDEX shipping label proved they shipped the day after I called to complain.
Then they charged me for refusing delivery. F-THEM.
Answer: No experience with that. Experience with their staff and their customer service, don't fo business with them. My phone was returned in October, and I still have not received my refund. They finally sent me an email saying my return was received, in December but tracking showed it received in October, and still no refund.
Answer: I would not buy from or sell to Gazelle regardless of what they claim.
Answer: No! Dishonest! Had to file a dispute with my credit card company tinged my money back and that took 3 months
