The clothing in their photos is nothing CLOSE to what you will get in the mail. I do understand that when ordered from websites based in China, you won't get the top quality, but this was beyond bad. What looked like a cute dress in the picture came to me looking like a dishrag, and a dishrag that wouldn't even fit me at that. I am quite thin, and I ordered a small, going by their the measurements they posted. The dress I received was so tiny, I couldn't imagine anybody being able to squeeze into it, and was NOT the correct measurements. I tried for weeks to resolve the problem with them, with them refusing to offer more than 25% of the purchase price back. Finally I just took it up with PayPal and got a full refund. STAY AWAY!
I bought 2 very cute dresses from this site and was excited that I found such nice clothes for such good prices. Not being in a hurry, I had no problem with using standard shipping. However, after placing the order on April 7th, 2 weeks later I had no word on the status of my order. I sent an email on their site and was told my items were Out of Stock and would be sent as soon as they got them in. They need to update their website if that is the case, just like every other professional site does, to let you KNOW that item is OUT OF STOCK when you try to buy it!
So I finally received my order May 1st, only I only received ONE dress, and it was not the correct size that I ordered! Again, I sent them a message asking what I needed to do to get the correct dress that I ordered, and also where my OTHER dress was? I got the complete run around and never got any answer as to where my dress is, or what to do about the wrong dress size. They continued to answer questions that I never addressed, and I just gave up eventually.
What a hassle. $30 down the drain, but lesson learned. Will never order from them again and I will make sure people know!
I paid over $21 for 3-day shipping fee to dresslily.com. I needed it in a week after I paid for my order. It took them over 2 weeks to even start shipping my order! Now that they finally shipped my order, I'm finding out that the company had handed my shipping to the wrong delivery service because the delivery service the company handed to does not do expedited shipping and I paid for 3-day shipping! Also, dresslily's website does not even work properly because I tried so many ways to log in and can't. I am so angry that I will not get my order in time before I leave to go home because they are gifts to my family!
I have a unique complaint. I bought a black & white sweater and a 1 sweater dress from this site. It arrived late of course, but that is the least important issue. My sweater was sealed well in a plastic bag and other wrappings so no 'traveling smell' should of got on it. But when I opened it up I gagged. The sweater smelled SO AWFUL! It smelled like it was used to clean a dirty car engine then left in a damp place to mold. The smell is almost hard to describe but the dirty old cloths used in my dads workshop is what I think of but even those smell like roses compared to this. So I soaked the sweater in my tub with detergent but the smell would not come out at all. On top of that, the 'white' on the sweater wasn't white but was more grey with some yellow stains and threads were coming out all over the place. Well. The sweater dress was terrible too. It was waaay too small and looked to be made out of the cheapest material possible. Then sewn together by a monkey. I just threw them both out. I sent a complaint to the website but nothing became of it.
This site is a scam. The clothing they send out is nothing like they described it to be. They are bordering on criminal acts in not returning my money and making me pay for return and also not paying me back even half of what i spent. Do not shop with them... these people are criminals!
Dreadful experience. Ordered from them and they took my money. They then said some items weren't in stock. I asked for a refund but after 3 months it is still not forthcoming. The items arrived and the quality is dreadful. Buttons hanging off and the sizing is not as stated on their web site. I asked how to send things back for a refund and they said I would only qualify for a 10% discount on my next order and nothing more. Do not use this company. They are dreadful.
Unfortunately I too ordered prior to looking for reviews. I placed my order at the end of March. It finally shipped (according to their site) April 17. It is now April 30 and I still have not received my order and of course the tracking number doesn't work. My order is a dress I planned to wear to an out of state wedding next week. Looks like I'll have to find something else to wear AND deal with the hassle of returning/refund bs from this company. Buyers, BEWARE!
I put an order in for 2 dresses before i came across these reviews. Oh boy. I checked out and they immediately took my payment on the 18th. I waited 7 days to inquire why my order is still being 'processed' after they already took my money! They told me what they told a few others on here. That one of my dresses was out of stock. I believe its a bunch of crock. I paid $14 for it when it was on sale then they marked it up to $21 on the site! I clicked on the item and i was able to add the same size & color of the same exact dress into my cart! I hope i still receive my items. They claim that they will send the dress that IS available. Now i'm not to certain that i will get either of them. Please be VERY weary. I'm gonna do better research next time! Pay attention to the negative reviews! So accurate.
I ordered two dresses on April 11. After 11 days, I emailed if they had been shipped. Automated email reply a day later saying they had been shipped, but that it takes 15-25 BUSINESS DAYS to get to me. I paid over $20 in shipping costs for two dresses! They also gave me a website to track the purchase but when I input that site into my browser (several times) I get a "404 Server Not Found" message. So, I cannot even track my shipment. They were for a wedding in May, but I doubt I will receive them in time. I will never ever shop DressLily again.
My experience was pretty bad. The items show that it ships in 24 hours, which it does not. When we write to customer service, they reply back saying quality control check. Will ship in 10 days. After 10 days the order is still not shipped. The guy who wrote back to me the second time was rude and arguing that he replied to my query the same day. Then he tells that the item is out of stock, which it clearly does not show in the website when we place the order.
They are just being tricky and too smart.
I would not purchase from them again.
I've realized a purchase in dresslily.com and am very happy. The attendance of the site is great! I have nothing to complain the company is to be congratulated!
My husband ordered me 2 things from Dresslily for Valentine's Day. He placed the order on 2/5. After contacting them twice through their 24 hour response and again through their Facebook, they finally told us that one item was out of stock. They refunded me for that and, almost 2 months after it was ordered, they other item arrived. It looks almost nothing like the picture in color or cut, smells weird, is not at all the size they quoted, and is poorly sewn out of the cheapest material in the world. I contacted them about returning it and when they eventually responded they offered me a discount to keep it. When I explained that I did not want it at all they said it's cheaper to keep it than to pay for return shipping. So now I'm stuck with something that I would feel bad donating to Goodwill. I suggest never buying from them.
I made my first order from dresslily.com and i was happy with my purchase. I had read a lot of negative reviews but i thought i would take a chance anyway and im glad i did. I ordered a pair of heel/boots which arrived within a week and they ended up looking exactly like the picture, they are now my favorite and most comfortable pair of heels. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Everyones experience will be different, you just need to take a chance and make the conclusion for yourself.
I bought a couple of dresses from dresslily, and the material is so comfy. With expedited shipping, my items were here within a week and a half. The items are true to size. The prices are great for the items, compared to what you would pay here.
I usually use dresslily for jewelry orders, so most have free shipping (which is great). Whenever I order clothes from here the shipping is sometimes a bit expensive, but the great price of the clothes makes up for whatever you pay in shipping. My orders always come in on time or early; it's a great site for shopping.
I came across Dresslilly just browsing one day, I really liked the look of their clothes and accessiories. I went ahead and purchased a winter cloak, it arrived after a few weeks and I absolutely adore my purchase. Its style is so cute and different. It fits really well too. I have since then put in a few more orders and am waiting eagerly for their arrival.

My first order, was great showed up on time express 3-6 days, all 4 items were great. Second order - was still processing after 6 days - so I inquired - was told they don't have one item? So you can't contact me? I have to chase you down? That was start of March I still don; t have the $18 refunded. Got the order 2/3 one coat was perfect the other small but love it, Oh BTW// When ordering order 2 sizes bigger than you are! Then you won; t be disappointed.
Third order now will be the last, again processing after 8 days, all I wanted was a purse but the shipping is sooo expensive - I picked 2 other items, because also when products arrive there's $30+ in duty owed!
So a $10 purse 30 shipping and 30 duty // didn't make sense --
Well I chased them down again! To be told they don't have my purse -- ARGH
They won't take the $28 they owe towards a different purse. Instead I will wait to see if my money is ever refunded - and I will never order from them again.

I was looking for some combat boot-esque shoes I could wear to work while not having to fork over the price of Doc Martens. I found a relatively cute pair on Dress Lily for a decent price, so I decided to give it a go. I also purchased an absolutely adorable skirt I couldn't wait to wear. I've patronized other "overseas" websites and never had any problems so I didn't really think much about it. First, the shipping cost was astronomical. It was almost as much as the cost of my purchase. Second, it seemed to take FOREVER for me to receive my order. When I finally did receive my order only my boots arrived, no skirt. I e-mailed Dress Lily about this oversight and they replied by telling me that the item was no longer in stock! Why was I not notified of this when I first made my purchase? Fortunately, the cost of the skirt was refunded to me almost immediately, and me, being a fool decided to purchase another super adorable pair of high-heeled booties. That package seemed to have been sent by forces akin to magic because I received it in a fraction of time I received my "combat boots". Speaking of my "combat boots", they started FALLING APART less than a month after I received them, and I hadn't even worn them very often. I consider myself fairly crafty in fixing wardrobe problems, but having to super glue my shoes every time I wear them gets really, really frustrating. I haven't even worn the other pair of shoes because I am terrified they will explode off my feet if I wear them in public. Needless to say, despite the cute clothes/shoes, and the decent prices, I will not be making any future purchases from Dress Lily again.

I will start out by saying that i don't like how this site sucks you in with its super low prices, which end up not so great once the shipping is added.
As others have said, it took way longer to receive my two items than was given when i placed my order. I ordered what i thought was one hoodie and one jacket. The pkg. That came in the mail was a manila-type envelope about the size of 2 paperback books side by side. The two items were completely balled up and stuffed into the envelope. I couldn't understand how 2 fairly bulky articles of clothing could fit into such a small pkg. Until i opened it up and saw what i had bought. The material was so thin and cheap. Both items were made out of the same cheap polyester even though they look completely different in the pictures. Also, their "one size fits all" is not even close. Both of my items were listed as such, but both fit so differently. I usually wear a small or medium, but the item that was supposed to be a hoodie just barely fits.
All that being said, i would certainly NEVER order anything from this site again. I only wish i had read some reviews BEFORE i ordered from them.
