Gwynnie Bee enjoys a generally favorable reputation among customers who appreciate the variety and quality of clothing, as well as the convenience of a rental model that allows for frequent wardrobe changes without significant financial commitment. Many users highlight the positive impact on their confidence and style exploration. However, concerns about slow shipping times, limited inventory, and challenges with cancelling subscriptions have been frequently mentioned. Additionally, customers have expressed frustration over unexpected charges and a lack of responsive support during issues. Overall, while the service has its strengths, addressing operational inefficiencies could enhance customer satisfaction.

Gwynnie Bee allows me to consistently try and wear new clothes - without expanding the size of my closet. I love that I can wear a new dress to work, and then send it back and try something new! It allows me to try out clothes I wouldn't normally buy, as well as rotate classics. I've had great experience with this company - and recommend it to anyone who'd enjoy adding some flair to their wardrobe every couple weeks.
It has been fantastic for me since I was a size 22 a year ago and now I'm a size 12. Each month I can get whatever size I need.
Some months I really love Gwynnie Bee, but most months I can't seem to find any items I like! And when I do find something I love, it sits in my cart forever and almost never gets chosen to be sent to me. It's over $70 for only 2 items at a time, and if you want to buy something, most items are over $90. That's just way too steep for secondhand clothes.
I have never been an on-trend person, and I don't think I have been known for having nice clothes. But after I started using Gwynnie Bee, I am suddenly fashionable! I get compliments all the time, and I feel so much more confident about what looks good on me. Love it!
I tried to cancel twice and the poor service reps are forced to make it next to impossible to cancel. Items are ill fitting for some body types which was my reason for canceling. They kept trying to give me discounts and free items. They did not seem to appreciate the free item or discounted item that didn't fit well was of no use. If you are a traditional size, the service is probably lovely. If you are not, I would think twice.
My experience with this company is disasterous. I signed up in January and received one box. I sent the clothes back immediately. I know I called and spoke to someone about cancelling the account. I have been seeing $70+ charges on my credit card every month. When I finally called to see what was going on I was told I was still responsible for the "monthly rental fee" even I did not order. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told it would take 24 to 48 hours for one to get back to me. The girl I talked to (Yelled at) did not seem to understand what I was trying to do. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Stitch fix and Dia do a much better job and do not charge if you suspend a shipment.
When first joining GB as soon as i returned items new ones would be sent within a day or two. As soon as they offered an upgrade service and i declined it i started noticing how much longer it would take to get items after returned. It became very clear they only want you to get two items a week-no matter how quickly you return the items you have at home.
I love the site and the service. I have been a member for years and it does most of the heavy lifting in my wardrobe. I have recommended it to my friends who also love it. One friend began using for the six months leading up to her wedding for all the parties and couldn't imagine doing it any other way.
I love Gwynnie Bee. I've been a member for over 5 years. For the most part I am a happy subscriber. I have noticed that the pricing of the items are getting more expensive. My plan is 2 items $63. I don't think it is reasonable to want me to buy a summer shirt for $70. I think the pricing should be more in line with the fact that the items are worn. My second issue is the packaging. Can we please get rid of the boxes? As someone who has their boxes come to the job and also a commuter. The boxes are a hassle. Plus dealing with them afterwards. Please think about sending the items in the purple bags then have us send the items back in the bags. I do that with ASOS purchases. No problem.
Been with you folks for years! Even when I was working on the road I had my items sent there! The main thing, I think, I would change is the ability to put my membership on hold. If not working, I would prefer to not have to spend the money for those months; and don't want to stop and start the membership as it would come back at a higher rate.
I also wish there were more Johnny Was to go around, but I know they are probably the most popular items!
Occasionally I have found the same items in stores at a much lower price, which disappoints me as I have been a cheerleader for GB since I started!
Thanks for all you do- especially while I am losing weight and don't want to spend money on clothes until I am at my goal! BUT it is getting a bit too pricey and at my age and about to be on a fixed income, I will probably have to cancel in the not too distant future.
Maybe an over 65 price for those on Social Security with a young sense of style?
TY,
Judi Z
There are a lot a good things to say about Gwynnie Bee. The convenience of shopping from home, quick deliveries and easy returns are the best, and overall selection is good. I've had a lot of issues with getting my sizes right, and spent a lot of time ordering, trying on, and returning items (so much so that I'm considering terminating my account since I'm paying a lot to just try on & return clothes). I currently have a blouse that I like and would purchase if it wasn't so expensive (found the same blouse on sale at local Stein Mart for less than $20 but not my size - GB's "sale" price is over $60!). Website could use some updating to make shopping easier: pare down choices by sleeve length, better (more defined) color options, easier ways to select more than one designer, the ability to 'return to results list' ala amazon would be great.
The Gwynnie Bee clothing rental service started out great. I received items that I chose quickly, they looked great, and I ended up purchasing them. The clothing selection remains large, but many of the styles are what I would expect to see in the thrift store. Many of the decent styles that I've chosen to closet do not follow the priority marking, don't fit despite checking the reviews and size charts. Others that I would like to closet or are not available to be closeted as they are not currently available in my recommended size, but do have available pieces above and below my size. Needless to say, this is beyond frustrating.
The price to keep an item permanently is sometimes outrageous. This is in addition to the rental price. Yes, discounts are sometimes offered. However, when the price is already inflated, the discount is of little consequence. I have purchased a few pieces that I really liked but on average try on and send back more than I actually wear. Also, keep in mind that these are not new items that you're purchasing, but items that have been worn by others.
Since downgrading to a lesser plan, the service has gone down hill and is borderline ok - the service seems to have slowed considerably and it takes longer to get a new item delivered. I attempted to cancel the service last month, but the fee is not prorated and I would have lost a good portion of time that I paid for and could not get a refund.
I will be cancelling my subscription this month due to continued dissatisfaction. I would not recommend the service. You'd be better off shopping online and returning items that you don't like.
Gwynee Bee is my favorite place to shop bar none. I love the versatility of the clothing. I've gotten clothes that I've worn to church, weddings, taken on vacation and worn to work. The packages arrive quickly if you time it right. They have great sales. Dresses by great designers can be found at Gwynee Bees.
I love Gwynnie Bee - I've been a member for 5 years! Great styles, easy to use app. Options I can afford.
I love being able to try out clothes on a weekly basis! If I like them, I have an option to buy them. If I do not want to buy them I send them back in a prepaid bag. I earn rewards and have purchased many "Returned Favorites" at exceptional prices. Only reason I did not give GB a 5 out of 5 is I only get newer items from my closet. I add items and I have over 40 "On Rack" but I only get what is latest, even if I make the older items an "Item Priority". I like everything I add to my rack, so I'd love to get older items. Oh, and I love how I can select Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein items now too.
I love this company and their products. High quality, accessible and great customer service. I've been a loyal customer for about 5 years now and have no plans on changing my membership.
I enjoy getting new items to try, but I only do one item at a time, as it is quite costly in my opinion. At most, I can get 4 items a month, and due to the slow speed of Gwynnie Bee & the mail, it usually only ends up being 3 items, and that makes it over $10/item for me to just borrow something. If you have a lot of items in your closet as I do (i. E. 100+), it should be rather quick and easy to mail out another item after I notify that something is being returned. I DO NOT think that I should have to call to cancel. That is just a way for them to try and keep a customer with an up sell or a deal that loyal customers should be offered anyway! I have cashed in my rewards on two different occasions, but it takes forever to earn the points. Wish there was a better way to order items in a closet, or let them know what you would prefer next, like a dress, jeans, etc. So - there is a lot of room for improvement.
I love being able to closet what I like and then, being able to wear it for awhile. Sometimes just trying clothes on isn't enough. Wearing them in all kinds of situations makes a difference. I've purchased many of my clothes this way because it's so easy and convenient.
Wonderful customer service and fast turnaround. A wonderful way to enhance your business wardrobe, keep it fresh and flirty, or affordably prepare for a hot night out. I also love GB for the ease in trying out the latest fashion trends in the privacy of my own home, and without the commitment! Love it? Then you can purchase it!
Answer: You have to re-add them, but there is a "history" section that keeps track of your items so they are easier to find.
Answer: The clothes are cleaned and then sent out to the next person who requested that item in that size. After a period of time (not sure how long) the clothes are put into their for sale section of the site. I've purchased several items after wearing them at incredible savings.
Answer: They are used but have been laundered - you have no need to do that unless you wish to do so. Also they are usually in excellent shape. If you ever receive anything that isn't, make sure you let them know so they can pull it from their inventory.
Answer: Hi Tara - Everyone experiences the service differently. I think the best thing is to judge for yourself. We offer a 30 day free trial, which allows you to do just that. Before joining you can check out our FAQs & browse the collection. If you have any questions, please contact us at gwynnie@gwynniebee.com or 855-GWYNNIE
Answer: It means they will upgrade your items by 1 for the life of your plan. If you sign up for 5 items, and stay with 5 items, you will get 1 free upgrade meaning you will get 6 items. If you change your plan later however, that free upgrade could go away. SandieB
Answer: Hello Susan, Thanks for your interest in our service. Yes, our's is a garment rental service, with the most popular plan of (2 garments out at a time), priced at $68 + taxes per 30-day billing cycle. Those on the 2-item plan usually receive 6-8 garments per month depending on how fast they return them. Speaking of which, you may keep the garments with you as long as you need, before returning them in exchange for another garment/s. When you're ready to receive another garment - we have a "Return Notification" feature where you can give us a heads-up that items are on their way back to us and we can start processing your next package. Our average turnaround time is 4-7 days depending on if you use our return notification feature & where you live. The return notification feature lets you tell us when you're returning an item, so we do not wait to physically receive it & can start processing your replacement within an hour of clicking. Importantly, should you like to purchase any garment you receive as part of your rental shipment you can do so easily, and that too, at generously discounted prices. I hope this helps. Best, Gwynnie

We'd love for you to try the 30-day free trial to see how many garments you can get for yourself! Our average turnaround time is 4-7 days depending on if you use our return notification feature & where you live. The return notification feature lets you tell us when you're returning an item, so we do not wait to physically receive it & can start processing your replacement within an hour of clicking.
