Sold cards to carpool for years and always got my checks on time. This year it's been very different, they take your cards and refuse to pay out. They no longer respond to e-mails either. No phone to reach them either. It seems they are now running a criminal scam and enterprise. Deal with them at your own risk.
If you are hoping to exchange for Amazon gift cards to help with a large Amazon purchase, don't use Cardpool.
I submitted two gift cards on June 16,2019, to be paid in Amazon gift cards. Cardpool says 1-3 days. I emailed Customer Service on July 4th. Still have yet to receive a response. To date, no Amazon gift cards have been provided. My transactions are still "in review."

It seems the management of Cardpool has drastically changed. Until they fix their internal issues, I suggest trying another company.
I sold them a Whole Foods gift card. Got a letter better saying they could not process with anything checked off. It was processed alright - gift card I got back in return had $0 on it.
At the end of May, I had traded in a Gamestop card for an Amazon card. Got an autoresponse with a number (*******). I gave it a week and asked for an update. Another auto reply. Non existent customer service.
I was so disappointed in this Machine it took me several tries to get one of my cards to work got to the end and it said it would send me a verification code and it did and then put it in and then it didn't work and I kept doing it over and over and over again. The machine is not made of good quality
I bought cards from CardPool for years. About 6 months ago, I purchased cards that had no value. It took quite a while to get those replaced. They said they had moved, so things were held up. Well, another card, this time a $50 one to be used at a famous coffee retailer, turned out to have no value. Three or four emails later, still with no response, I have determined that their 'move' was a hoax and they've just changed their policies and are no longer the helpful company I have dealt with in the past. I consider myself lucky. This card was only worth $50. I've purchased some worth thousands and had no (major) problems. If the card was empty, they made it good. Apparently that is no longer their policy -- just as answering emails is no longer part of their policy. They've seen the last of me.
I tried to sell them a card. Got all the way to the part were you print the label. Would not print out, after a half hour of trying I gave up and signed out.
Signed back in later and there is absolutely no way to get back to where i can print out the label. NONE!
Frustrating to no end.
Ill keep the card in a junk draw till I throw it out.
I recently sold a Tiffany & Co. Gift card for a large amount - weeks and weeks later I still have not received my payment. I emailed and no response! I checked my account and it just says "In Review". I have had no other communication with Cardpool explaining to me what is happening or what is going on. This HAS to be a scam - I advise you to not use this company!
I sold a gift card to them a month ago and have not received my amazon gift card. I have written their "support" email over 8 times and have never received a response. Starting to think this isn't even a legit operation. Do NOT trust this company.
Was promised an instant $80 Amazon gift card... here I am one week later and I have ONLY received auto emails asking me for more of my gift cards. No credit, no directions, no nothing... Customer service attempts have been met with run around auto responses that left me with a "we really aren't going to help you" aftertaste.
This is the first time I've felt blatantly scammed on the internet and feel more embarrassed than I do do angry.
***Do yourself a favor - STAY AWAY
Completely unresponsive to multiple emails about the card that I "sold" them. I eventually submitted a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, but it didn't speed anything up. A month and a half after "selling" my card to them, they canceled the order saying there was an error with processing the card and their risk assessment team couldn't accept it. Based on the other reviews, I suspect this is complete BS, but at least I can use or sell my card to someone else now. What a terrible company to deal with.
SHADY COMPANY! Have dealt with this business successfully for years, but they've recently changed ownership. I recently did not receive two gift cards I paid for through their website, and they would not refund. In fact, they won't even respond! Totally different company today. Run, don't walk away...! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY! DONE!
Per Hobby Lobby Fraud Dept Agent Daniel we were advised our cards are on-hold & UNDER INVESTIGATION.
If you can even find a work (believe me I went to 3 locations) they'll probably just price gouge you. CardPool will barely give you half price for some cards. Terrible experience.
My debit card was stolen and someone charged 3 separate charges totaling almost $2,000! I called while the charges were still pending, hoping I could get them to stop before they were actually processed. There is no hold option; only an option to leave your name and phone number and "they'll get back to you" because your business is so very important to them. I called and left 3 messages, I wrote through facebook and 3 separate times I responded to their emails asking if my issue had been resolved. I didn't get one single reply to any of my inquiries and the charges have now gone through. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never use this company for anything!
I ordered a gift card several weeks ago. It was a simple, 50-dollar card to a clothing retailer. I never received it. After 2 weeks I contacted Cardpool and have received no response. Their online "chat" feature is an absolute joke. THE worst automated chat engine I have ever encountered. So now I'm out $47, with no idea where to go since they do not respond to inquiries.
I sold one gift card on there successfully and was mailed my check and received it in a timely manner and everything. So because of this I felt comfortable enough to list 2 more card in value of $200 each. I was notified at least 5 weeks ago that my cards were sold and to be expecting my checks. Still haven't received any checks. Nobody will return my emails. Nobody answers their phone number or returns their voice mails
Don't do it. They are still taking your gift cards and demanding debit card information, but they are not paying out. You most definitely will NOT receive an Amazon gift card in "around one day." In fact, you may never receive it. Impossible to know for sure. Don't. Do. It. Use a different service. This is a scam.
I took a Best Buy gift card with $340 and it offered me a $180 cash.
I really needed the money bad but they wanted 47% that's ridiculous I couldn't do it. I don't think they really want your gift cards
I never received my gift card. The 800 number only gives you the option to leave a message and they never call me back. I am out $400. I am currently working on disputing the order with my credit card company.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
