I sold CardPool a brand new gift card in exchange for an Amazon gift card. They took my gift card but never paid me for it! I sent four emails over 3 months and even filed a BBB complaint, to which they never responded. Needless to say, if you want to hand over your gift cards for free to a scamming company in exchange for nothing, this is the company for you! Otherwise, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I waited six weeks for them to basically tell me they didnt think they could make money on my card. What a crock for a website designed to buy your unwanted cards. Don't bother with these liars.
Also I tried to go to stores listed ON THE WEBSITE TO THIS DAY and they looked at me like I was bonkers and basically told me "We've never been partnered".
I only listed one card to test it out and now I am learning that I should have read reviews about how shady this site actually is. Sold a $50 gift card in June, never received payment, emailed July18-nothing came of it, emailed July 30- again nothing, emailed this morning and and finally got a reply this afternoon that the buyer received the card with a 0 balance. Which is BS the card was brand new and they check the cards before they list them, which says someone from the site is stealing the card numbers and pins and using them or selling them somewhere else and getting the profit from them... Very Very shady site... Avoid at all cost and save yourself the frustration and headache of having to deal with them.
I had about half dozen purchases for over a year without an issue. Then I purchased 2 Starbucks cards in June and one of which was not a valid card. As you know, there is no phone support and email takes a few days for them to respond (if you're lucky). I told them about this issue and received an auto reply email that they would get back to me. Three weeks past and I still didn't hear a thing. I sent the second email, then the third one... I gave up and regretted I told a few friends to sign up!
Be careful and good luck if you're still using their service.
This company use to be really reliable but they have done a compete 180 turn and are now miserable to deal with.
They dont reply to email or calls for weeks at a time, wont update and orders, no customer service. If they ever pay out it will be the incorrect amount and then wont reply to and contact for another month or so while you try to correct the situation.
DO NOT sell your giftcard here or buy a giftcard. It will be a complete waste of time and effort.
Not happy, bought a $25 cvs card. Only able to use $14.28 of it. Called numerous times and emailed no response. It's 2 weeks now. *******@ail.com
Their website says, "While it will typically only take ten minutes for you to receive your eGift card, it can take up to 1 business day if further verification is needed." It's now been two months. Unfortunately I sold them 5 gift cards at the same time. (I use the word sold hesitantly, as really they STOLE them). They don't respond to any contact, not even when I went ahead and filed a BBB complaint a couple weeks ago. I have no idea WTF is going on. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Been trying to use their service for many months. 9 times out of 10, I get canceled orders or they take weeks to fulfill & or cancel. When they cancel, they are not at liberty to tell you why. Many of these discount gift card companies do this routine & early on I made the mistake of using credit union bank that holds your money 12 days when order is cancelled. Really way too much B. S. to do a simple transaction. I'm real, my money is real, my desire to exchange is real, so you must be the B. S. factor in this equation.
I too like many others have been waiting on this company to provide me with payment on a card that I sold and nothing. I have tried numerous times to contact and have not been successful in getting anyone to return my messages. I am very disappointed in this company!
Enough said. Did everything I needed to to send the card out, nothing ever came of it. They keep sending the emails saying "reminder to send out your card!" and I've had to block. I've tried calling, but like everyone else... nothing. I think the whole number is a scam and no one ever checks it.
PLEASE someone hold these thieves accountable.
I've used Cardpool successfully for 7 or so years (I only buy, typically Starbucks cards). No probs whatsoever... UNTIL May, 2019. I bought a $50 e-card--have done so in the past multiple times--and it came to me already registered to someone else AND with a $0.00 balance. I called and left messages 3 times.no response! I also sent detailed emails to their address 3 times. No response! I turned to my credit card co. (BoA), and after much documentation, I now have the $48.25 I spent at Cardpool back in my account. I hate to have this once dependable company become a scam, but I don't dare buy from them again!
I was given a $60 Marshall's card. I don't shop Marshall's so I looked online for a way to exchange it. Figured this was easy. Exchanged it for an Amazon card.
For days I received their promotional emails, each titled "Thanks for shopping with us" regarding their referral program. Never did I get an email about the exchange.
So I sent an email to support. I get a response that they just received my card a few days ago (thought this was a one business day exchange?) but that the Risk Management department (for reasons they are not able to disclose) could not accept the transaction and canceled the order.
So, not only did they not accept a valid card, but then they cancel it and tell no one.
These guys stood to make $15 on this transaction alone. Oh they are making money.
I refuse to give them MY money.
I have used their service before a few times a while back and the process always went smooth.
I started using CardCash - but had problems with them as well. I went to try CardPool again and sold three gift cards to them. They were going to pay me roughly $1,500. I submitted two of them in by mail and one digitally per their request.
60+ days later and I have not heard anything. I have emailed them numerous times, as well as tried calling their old customer support phone number. No response.
I have no way of getting the gift cards back and no way of getting paid for the gift cards. They scammed me $2,500 face value gift cards.
Am experiencing the same problem as others have listed. Sold them a gift card and have been waiting for almost a month to receive my check. Have emailed 5 times and have not received any information. Account says still in review. Seems that I will never receive my money and am disappointed and disgusted that a company can get away with non payments. My advice is to stay far away from Cardpool.
This company appears to be a scam. I sent them gift cards to sell but they just took the cards and left me high-and-dry. My order #: ******* has been listed "In Review" for over a month. I have tried to contact their customer service multiple times without any response. I have sold cards on CardKangaroo and ClipKard with no problems. I don't want anyone to get ripped off like I have so I'm posting a review to let you know -- this company has zero customer service and you will most likely get ripped off of your money.
I am fully disappointed with CARDPOOL and the way they conduct business!
I base this on the following issues I had with them.
SLOW TRANSACTION PROCESSING
My first transaction was for a e-gift card and it took days to get delivered.
This is not standard practice for an e-transaction - they are usually immediate.
The idea that you need to wait 3 business days to get an e-giftcard is ridiculous and goes against an online business model.
IF YOU CAN NOT DELIVER BLAME THE CUSTOMER
So for my 2nd transaction I thought I would buy in advance (days before I would need the cards) and buy in bulk (2 gift cards) - and my order was cancelled due to a bogus 'risk assessment'. I contend that you did not have the inventory you listed on your website - and rather then fess up to your inventory issues - you cancelled the order and blamed it on me.
CANCEL ORDER AND DO NOT NOTIFY CUSTOMER
I never received an email notifying me that the order was cancelled. I discovered that my order was cancelled after not hearing from Cardpool for 2 days. I had to logon to my account and discovered that the transaction was cancelled.
I then had to email them to see what the issue was - and they gave me the excuse that 'risk assessment' cancelled the order.
There was no explanation of what the 'risk assessment' issue was.
I am not a 'risk assessment' in any way shape or form.
I purchase items online weekly and never have any issues.
ZERO CUSTOMER FEED BACK
I reached out to CARDPOOL to see what the 'risk assessment' was and try to work out the issue - and got zero response.
I listed three gift cards to sell with Cardpool on June 14, and have yet to receive the Amazon card I sold them for (transaction #*******). My listings on their website still say "In Review". I have emailed them three times now, with no response, and can't find any other way to contact them. At this point, I just want my cards back. This service is a total fraud - their website clearly says "Even though we may never find a buyer for the gift card, we pay sellers within 1 business day of receiving their gift card." It's been almost 20 business days at this point, and no contact at all with them. I will never use this service again, and I would never recommend it to anyone else.
On April 14,2019 i sold a $50.00 Bed, Bath & Beyond gift card to this company. I was told I would be sent a check for $37.50. Transaction #*******. I never received the check. I called and e-mailed numerous times, receiving only the standard, pre-programmed response (several days, blah, blah, blah...) On. June 28th i finally got a response asking for more info (the trans #), which I sent. Since then, no further response and no check. The gift card was zeroed out and BB&B said they could do nothing to help me.
I sold a Burberry's card to Cardpool on June 29th, 2019 transaction #*******. I have sent several message about the status of my check. I get an email they will contact me within a day. Today is 7/11/2019 and I have not heard from Cardpool. Their phone tells you to leave a message. My card is in excess of $650.
I sold (3) gift cards over a week ago. Their site claims that it takes 1 business day to review and process. As of today my cards are still in "review". I sent an email two days ago and have yet to receive a response from them. I wish I had've read reviews before I trusted this company.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
