While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. I bought a $20 Target egift card in Feb 2017, so I decided to buy another one on Sunday May 6,2018 at about 10 pm.
I get an email from them 1 hour later that the egift card was ordered.
It is 10 am, Tuesday May 8,2018 --- 36 hours later and I have received nothing.
Fortunately my credit card has not been charged. It shows nothing pending.
I won't be buying from them again.
Update: It is 8 pm, Tuesday May 8,2018, 44 hours after I placed the order, I receive an email say that they had an "inventory error".
Yet there are still at least 100 $20 Target egift cards on their website.
WTF?
Update May 14,2018: I bought another $20 eGift card last Tuesday. This time, the order went throught and I received an eGift card number with PIN.
But what I received wasn't an actual eGift card with a barcode which I have bought before directly from Target.com
With this Cardpool order, I had to log into my Target.com account and enter the eGift card number and the PIN. (The Target app would not let me do that.) After I did that the $20 showed up in my account..
I bought a electronic gift card and tried to use it at costco and costco stated it was a scam and they do not do electronic cards. I tried to get Cardpool to response but they have not and their customer service is terrible. I would not buy anything from them.
Very disappointed experience! I have been waiting for more than 24 hours and still have not received the gift cards. I was planning to purchase tickets for Saturday shows. But time has past, all the seat were filled. My friends and I need to purchase regular price tickets at another theater instead. What a waste of time!
Wow these people are an absolute scam I am sick to my stomach! Absolutely do not use this website it's a total scam I am naseous inside google.com
Tried to exchange my giftcard for 300$. I gave them my address but forgot to put my apt. # with the address given, so i emailed them letting them know. They said they would send another check to the correct address. I sent them an email about a month after they told me my check was sent, telling them I never received it and they never answered back. So here i am $270 dollars owed with an invalid gift card. They are thieves! Stay away from them.
I have six defrauded cards (bad cards with no balance) now with them totaling about $300 that I am currently out, and now about 2 months later since I initially contacted them, and not a single response! I am a long time customer, but apparently this doesn't matter. DO NOT BUY OR SELL ANYTHING TO THEM! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN! I'm assuming they are on the verge of going under. I have filed a claim with the BBB, and just contacted my credit card company today.
But, I recently have learned that this company whacks your e-mail account to death that "the card you are looking for is now back in stock". A few times, I have gone to look, and nothing there. So, since it was maybe a few hours later, I had decided to pay more attention because I don't need four e-mails in a row telling me that the CVS cards are now back in stock!
However, recently I have been on it like white on rice. Hit those links in a New York City second, and there is NEVER ANYTHING THERE. No gift cards that I want, EVER!
So please Cardpool... if ya ain't got the goods, stop spamming me. Sometimes, they're ok... but their inventory is low. Also, you should stop listing cards you don't have. VERY annoying to keep clicking through to find your no inventory alert. Consistently.
I would go to Raise personally. None of these gift card companies are fool proof. You're always going to have issues. Always. You'll need to be a smart consumer and watch their guarantees. Or you will lose your money somewhere along the way.
I purchased three Fandango movie gift cards for my grandboys for Christmas. I expected to get physical cards in the mail. After paying $60+ dollars for the three $25 cards, I was advised they would be ecards. After many back and forths with Cardpool, I had directions on how to use them. Gave the ecards to the kids along with the instructions. They don't work in our area! So I'm out $60+ and the kids don't have any movie gift cards. Never again. Their writeup said they would work at our local theaters.
I have placed 2 orders two days apart and BOTH transactions have been cancelled by Cardpool without explanation. Just stated in an email that the risk assessment team determined that they could not process the order at this time. I called *******787 and he was just a "confirmation assist" and had no explanation. Waiting for email replies... still. Makes me leery of doing any business here.
There is absolutely no way to get in contact with the company, but I was able to sell my gift card successfully. Submitted all of the information online to sell it on a Friday, got an email confirmation that a check was being sent out 14 minutes later, and the check arrived for the correct amount the following Friday (one week to the day). Dont know what I would have done if the check never came as you will NEVER get someone on the phone... but it worked out.
Cardpool customer service is truly awful. Situation 1: I moved and needed to change my shipping address (they have to do it for you) so checks will go to the right place. I have contacted them four times in the past few months about this, and no one has ever gotten back to me. Situation 2: I just ordered an electronic gift card. AFTER the sale was completed they advise me fulfillment could take 3 business days. I can't wait that long because what I want to buy is on sale. $#%&! Situation 3: I have tried calling to speak to someone about changing my address. All you can do is leave a message. In my case, there was no callback. Situation 4: They seem to have chat, but it's a Chatbot that's completely useless. Just avoid this disaster of a company. They claim to have thousands of great reviews on their site, but I get here and see most people have unfortunately had bad experiences with them. Giftcard Zen is awesome. There are other good ones as well. Just not this one.
I sent them $30 giftcrd 3-4 weeks ago and they havent paid me $21 AS PROMISED. They are impossible to contact. Will not respond to inquires. Have no phone number.
I bought a Dunkin Donuts card, 102 for 76.50. Used cards twice, total of $25. The third time I tried the card was worth nothing. Figured out the original purchaser must use the app on their phone for the remaining balance. Cardpool.com has no phone number and does not respond to email. DO NOT USE CARPOO.COM. SCAM.
The worst experience I have ever had. I had 2 successful card sales but they kept my third card and have not responded to 24 e-mail requests and 16 phone messages. Ironically they are always too busy and goes into a voicemail that is never returned. The game is to do a couple of transactions and keep a card or two to increase their profit. I will be going to the Attorney General Office and the Consumer Protection Agency. This is blatant theft and should be prosecuted.
I was trying to sell a card online, as this card required shipping there was an issue, as I had two such cards and didn't know which was being sold. After a month of waiting they finally got back to me to tell me the transaction had been cancelled by me. It had not, I cancelled the second listing after waiting weeks for support.
If you choose to sell with them, just assume that you are on your own as they are useless. If selling multiple cards write down which number goes with which order when you list it, or else you will never know.
Please read the fine print of this business.
I purchased two $25 gift cards in November, 2017, for a lady with terminal cancer for a Christmas gift. They were for Applebees and Cracker Barrel. I printed them and gave them to her.
On 2-13-18, she tried to use the Applebees card and was told by the Applebees manager that the card was not usable I contacted Applebees and was told that this card had been purchased on 4-2-2017 and completely used on 5-14-2017, in Edinburg, TX, NINE MONTHS earlier and 6 months before I had purchased it! Talk about quality control! I sent a letter to Cardpool customer service but there was never an answer, as others have said.
I read the fine print on their terms of service and copied the following:
PURCHASE GUARANTEE PROGRAM DOES NOT APPLY TO ELECTRONIC GIFT CARDS OR MOBILE GIFT CARDS DUE TO THE NATURE OF THOSE PROGRAMS. So the old saying "Let the buyer beware is true with this company"!
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Never again. So I spent
$42 for a $25 gift certificate. Thankfully I didn't purchase more of them! Hope this helps.
Tried a few weeks ago to purchase Macy's gift cards from CardPool. Although they listed many, every attempt to add one to my cart was met with a failure "we no longer have this card." Yet, they listed it over and over. After trying 10 or so I gave up.
Today I purchased a gift card for a restaurant, only to have it canceled several hours later with no real explanation.
Suspicious of a site that consistently has the highest discount, yet can't deliver ( at least for me) a single card.
I just completed my first purchase on Cardpool. I expected to get emailed the card right away, but instead received a confirmation email stating that it could take up to 3 business days to get my card. What?! No mention of that on the site. Thankfully I found this review site, and a helpful reviewer listed Cardpool's #: *******787 (not the useless 800 # that only had voicemail). So I called it and spoke with someone, who then said they'd pass it on to their processing dept. to expedite the order and that I should receive it shortly. Two minutes later, it was in my inbox! The code worked fine. Please use this # if you have issues!
If you want to lose your money, go ahead and order. It takes forever to get an electronic card delivered. They don't state that on their website until you place an order.
I've ordered gift cards from other sites that delivered almost instantly that has a professional and courteous service.
Most of the time their site is down. I don't understand how they can have an online business with a slow response time. My advice for anyone looking for discount gift card is to steer clear from this company. It's not worth the hassle.
I purchased a Dunkin Donuts gift card from them and didnt mind that it took over a week to arrive. The issue I had was that the card was registered under someone else's Dunkin account. This not only made the card useless to me but also meant that at any time the previous owner could just begin using the card again. So I contacted Cardpool 2 weeks ago to resolve this issue and it is now 2 weeks later and they have yet to respond to me despite them saying that they would respond within a couple business days. I would never recommend buying from this place and you should avoid them at all costs.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
