The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.

If I were to describe Cardpool in one word, I would say it's misleading.
The issue comes up for sellers.
First, they aren't up front with whether they'll accept your card electronically or if you'll have to mail it until after you start the process.
Next, there's an issue with return cards and merchandise credits. Even though they are just as good as a gift card for most merchants (the balance can be checked online and spent in-store or online), Cardpool doesn't allow sale of *certain* brands of merchandise credits. Specifically, I experienced this when trying to sell a Victoria Secret merchandise return card. The problem is that they don't announce this until AFTER YOU'VE GIVEN THE CARD AND PIN NUMBERS. See my screenshot of the rejection.
I was told I would get a check in 2 days and 3 months later nothing. Avoid them at all cost or you will lose your property.
Don't waste your time. They are scum bags. I have gift card purchased from them that has 0 balance. They don't answer emails and phone calls!
On 7/25 I purchased four gift cards from Cardpool. 3 were electronic and 1 was plastic.
WEEKS have gone by and I NEVER RECEIVED MY GIFT CARD FROM THEM!
Of the other three electronic cards, I got to the register of the store and was EMBARRASSED and HUMILIATED because TWO of them had a ZERO BALANCE.
Do you know what it is like to stand there and have everyone in the store listen to the cashier tell you that you were DECLINED.
TWICE.
So to repeat, FOUR cards were purchased and THREE were a SCAM. I have NO idea how they stay in business.
RIPOFF
I had an digital gift card (Just a card number and PIN) from HP for $100. I didn't want an amazon gift card, nor did I want to wait for a better offer on the market, so I sold the card directly CardPool online. Their offer was $75, which may seem like a sizable chunk, but they have to make a profit, so I understand.
I sold it August 6,2018. After selling it I received a confirmation e-mail less than 5 minutes later. Less than 24 hours later I received an e-mail saying they processed my order and they sent out the check, and that I should receive it in 3-7 days, with a *note that delays could make it take 2-3 weeks and to contact them if I don't receive it after 3 weeks. It said to make sure that the gift card is never used from now on or else they'll charge me.
I received my check in the mail August 11,2018. No problems with the check, it was for the $75 I agreed to and it cashed fine.
I purchased a gift card over 2 weeks ago and it has not come but there is NO way to contact them. NO tracking was provided if it shipped. NO email to contact them. They have a live chat but it does not work! This site needs to be closed down. SCAM!
I have used them numerous times and they have always delivered on-time and in the proper amount. They are fairly quick with delivering e-gift cards and overall I don't have any complaints about using them to buy e-gift cards.
I buy and sell at cardpool and have never had problems. When I purchase e-cards they usually arrive in my email the next day. Physical cards take 3 or 4 days. I Haven't had a bad card yet.
When I sell e-cards, the payment is usually mailed within 48 (business) hours, and in my hand 2-3 postal days later (including Sat, excluding Sun). I haven't sold a physical gc so I don't know the timeframe for that.
They tell you on the site what they're willing to pay; you can almost always get more if you're willing to trade it for another card--you get less for cash/check payment.
I had two $500 dollar Best Buy gift cards. I read some some false 5 star rating reviews. So, I gave them my cards information. It's now been a whole year of no reply from email, for my checks. This type of behavior that cannot be tolerated and they should be sued and shut down completely. This is a crime. I feel the problem is no one wants to waste their money and time trying to sue this bs company probably run by foreigners over seas.
I tried 3 different times to sell my macys cards at kiosk. You go thrpugh the whole process only to NEVER get the 6 digit code for your money. $#*!in joke. Go anywhere else but there. Scammers
SCAM ALERT! Bought a gift card but it was invalid. Contacted them in every possible way but no response! They post on Facebook regularly but won't answer your message. When I commented about my problem on their Facebook post, they just deleted it! I saw another person posted her problem too, it was too deleted. This is clearly a scam behavior. If you would like to take a risk and buy from them, be prepared that if you have a problem, no one will answer your email or message. They don't have a phone number to call even for an urgent matter, all you can do is to wait for them to reply you some day which never happens. They do have a phone number for bulk sellers who do business with them but when you call, there's only an automated system telling you to leave them your number and they will call you back but this too never happens.
Just waiting for them to complete my order send me a check.it ant the first time I sell them a gift card and when I did I got my checks so they legit.
Cards were provided at a small discount & shipped quickly enough; site requires entry of a second (mailed) code for authentication.
So bad(( They offer a good discount but never sent gift cards. My orders always cancelled with their explanation "Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to process your order at this time". I highly recommend to use www.Raise.com bc they send me gift cards during a MINUTE after placing the order.
Tried a $50 Barnes & Noble card. Offered $30.00 (60%). The kiosk swipe did not work so I had to manually enter the number. Scanner would not scan my driver's license; multiple attempts. Went home and bought two magazine subscriptions for my wife.
I tried to sell a gift card to a nearby location listed on their website. The website said that I could get up to 92% of the value of the card. When I went into the location, before even seeing the type of card I had or its value, the clerk said they would only give 50% of the value.
Bought a subway gift card and tried to add it the the subway app and says the card is not valid. Trying to get my money back but haven't heard anything so far (and based on other reviews, don't think I will). Will update my rating/review of these crooks rectify the situation.
I sold some gift cards to Cardpool and they called to verify some information 3 days later. I verified it, and still no email. Then I called back and they emailed me and said I needed to call and verify information again. More than 24 hours later and still no email. So I called back and they said my information was lost and I would have to reverify. I did, and was told that I would receive the gift card email within 24 hours (again). Still waiting.
I purchased a gift card and it was inactive. After a week of trying to get a refund I have had no luck.
Tried buying from them several times. They "process" orders "during business hours" - these are electronic gift cards! They feed you nonsense about security verification - shouldn't be a problem for repeat customers. They randomly cancelled my last 2 orders because "... Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to process your order at this time." I asked them to explain and to confirm my identity/credit card - "Unfortunately, we're not able to disclose any further specifics regarding our risk assessment." Sound like load of crap.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
