They want you to give them some info from your bank account. Here's the message you'll receive after you submit your order:
"Extra Verification Step
We'd like to verify that you have access to your bank account online. We ask for this to secure your order.
We placed a line with a two-digit code on your credit card statement. Please find it and complete the following line by replacing the XX:
CARDCOOKIE
XX
123-456"
Which makes no sense because credit card statements cant' receive codes! So I emailed them to ask them to approve my order. They responded:
"we can verify your account in another way. Can you please send us one of the following:
- Proof of address: a house bill (electricity, cable, etc.) that has the same address of the credit card you used to pay for your order.
- Proof of identity: some official document with your name and picture on it (driver's license, passport, etc.)
Please take a picture of the document instead of scanning it. Once we receive the documents, we will review them and verify your account.
Thank you!
Best regards,
The CardCookie Team"
I know this doesn't sound right, especially given the fact that there is no phone number to reach them! But I wanted the gift cards so much that I did as they asked. After I sent them my water bill, I heard no further. Now I"m afraid they compromised my identity!:(
I rarely warn people, but STAY AWAY from cardcookie!
I made my first purchase of an e-giftcard (starbucks) with CardCookie. It was a smooth transaction. Received the e-card about 20 minutes later.
You may see a test charge of $1 to your card that should go away.
They have 100 day guarantee as opposed to 45 days which other similar companies have.
Answer: OMG what a hassle. & seriously stay away from this nonsense. This is a scam. Complete & Utter Nonsense. Following is what happened: Wanted to send a Giftcard tosister. Went and paid. Got a nonsensical email, I mean NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE NONSENSE Sent a link to me under the false pretense that they need to verify more and to follow the link. The link says to enter codes... Talked to my bank, told them that they were asking for codes, Bank asked me "what codes". Then exchanged emails with someone by the name Sarah (Somone pretending to be Sarah) OMG this is like Total ConGame This is a ConGame Please don't use this. I didn't realize most of the positive reviews were either implanted.or purchased Bogus Bogus Bogus.
Answer: Yes I can. Can you? What is stopping you - go ahead and build it.
Answer: It happened to me more than once with these guys. Ther quality control sometimes lacks. Well, this is the cost of doing business with them, about 50% of the time you actually get what they promise card-value-wise. Keep trying! It s like playing lottery - exciting!
Answer: Probably never, but it is a 50/50 chance, so keep on trying.
Answer: Send an eMail and they respond within minutes or at the start of the next business day.
