I bought from them for years and it was always fine, refunds and credits were ok. I hadn't shopped on their site for several months and just recently went in and couldn't see my credit (which used to appear at the top left) so online chatted.
First they said they saw the credit and it must be an IT glitch and that they'd open a query. I chatted back a few days later explaining my last chat and this time they told me that yes the query was sent to their phone dept and that I had to call them. Ok so today I call and was told that yes I did have a $80.44 credit but that since May 2016 when it came under new ownership the credits could not be honoured. Agent was apologetic and said I had to call Consumer Protection to get my money.
So I called CP and sure enough there have been other complaints. The agent told me she would open a file for me and send me a kit... that I need to fill out the forms and send to BTR and that they have 10 days to refund me or issue me an account credit or that they will be prosecuted in court. I URGE YOU ALL TO CALL CONSUMER PROTECTION! Hopefully we can get what is owed to us!
Beyond the Rack are total crooks! Do not trust this company. Made a return in January and only got credited on the total amount minus shipping, did not get refunded on the taxes I paid. Their stupid system will con you out of money every time you try to get a refund. Also, now that the company is under new management, they are no longer honouring credits or returns made prior to May 21. What a bunch of cons. Do not buy from this company. There are way better companies offering amazing brands and deals that are trustworthy and have better customer service. I do a lot of online shopping and this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I will not be returning to shop from them and will make sure all my friends and family are aware of their terrible service and their cheating ways! I am now out of the money I spent on my purchase, returned the item but never got my money! Beyond the rack are crooks!

They cancelled my order because it was unavailable totally understand. They give me credit to my account and when ya try to use it it's not there. WHY? Because they supposedly change ownership so you don't get your credit. It took them 7mths to figure out to why I had no credits. When it's nearly $200 and the only answer you get is there's nothing we can do. Dont waste your time or money on this site.
When BTR went into receivership I thought I better use my credit of $110.24. I bought an item using the credit and then paid PayPal for the difference after not receiving the item. I phoned and was told the item was not shipped because it was defective that is when my credit disappeared from my account. I phoned BTR several times and sent emails and was always told I am sorry we will look into this. Today I was told to contact my consumer protection company as they would not honor credits from the old BTR. I did receive a credit from PayPal for the difference.

They cannot ship products that they "sell" and when you place an order weeks later you find out they can't fulfil the order, won't give you your money back and they won't even honour the credit they give you because they won't give you your money back. This company needs to be stopped from continuing to rip innocent people off.

I had credit on my account of $160 which vanished. I called the toll free number provided on the site and was told since the company was bankrupt and bought over by new owners that my credit would not be returned. This is disloyalty. The name of the business is the same! If they bought the company they should also be honoring the old credits on everyone's accounts. Total FRAUD. STAY AWAY!
I had purchased a few dresses and they were too large so I returned them. A credit was issued. Later when I tried to use the credit I was unable to. I reached out to customer service who did nothing to help with the transaction error. Now my $200 credit just VANISHED! I have been trying to figure out why for the last few months. When I finally got an answer I was told my credit can't be returned due to new ownership. This is very upsetting and unacceptable. If you are running with the same website and the same customer database, you should owner the credits that were pre-existing on the account!

My feeling is that this company is running a SCAM. Every customer here complaining should agree to file a class action against this company with the Attorney General's office. The company was sold last year, and the new owners don't care how they treat their customers, nor do they care about the quality of the merchandise, which has gone downhill. Everything everyone else has written is true. They stall customers by canceling orders, refusing to issue refunds and saying they'll "look into it." In a recent order, I had $173.96 in credits that I had hoped to spend in a new order. I placed the order thinking I'd pay them the additional $18.00 and be done with them. Instead of allowing me to use the credits, BTR made me spend an ADDITIONAL $191.96, and then LOWERED my credit to $89.00 from $173.96. They are refusing to correct the credits and also refusing to issue me a refund. This spells SCAM to me. Avoid purchasing ANYTHING from this company, or you will lose your money. If I could have given BTR 0 stars, I would have; but, that was not an option.
I ordered 2 pairs of leggings in August. Well its almost the end of October and I'm still yet to receive the most expensive of the 2 pairs of leggings (big surprise there) 2 months later. Every time I call or email I get told that its being shipped to the warehouse and that they can't refund me. Not sure why since it hasn't even been shipped out to me yet. What an easy copout to not answer my question as to when I will receive these. I can't get a straight answer out of anyone from there. I'm just going to assume that I will never get these and I've lost my money from them. I will NEVER order anything from this site again! PATHETIC CROOKS!

Placed an order with them about 6 weeks ago. I had ordered from them in the past without issues but it has been a couple of years (didn't know about management and chapter 11 issues) they sent an email saying that they shipped the order but the tracking number they provided didnt work. After a couple week I called in and they say oh once Canada post gets it, it will become active. Wait another week call again they say oh its shipped Canada post website has problems right now. Another week goes by call in again and am told the first excuse again. By this time I'm angry so I make a ticket number to investigate where my package is. Then suddenly the day after I do that the shipping label is created, but the package was never given to Canada post. Call btr today twice and talk to a csr online and call Canada post. Canada post does not have thee package they have never had it. The btr online csr saying it takes 10-15 business days for Canada post to get the item its been 13 days, their website says it takes up to ten days. The woman I spoke with after said it could take up to another 10 business days. After I spoke with Canada post I call back and the guy I spoke with said it could take 7-10 business days and that the item was not shipped on the day that they said it was that it was shipped last week.
Nobody knows what they are doing they out and out lie to their customers. I ordered this on my visa and am going to call visa now and fight the charge. They are a big scam now. Such a shame because they used to be a very good online shopping sit aside from the long shipping times.
I find it fascinating how the Customer Service team does not respond to all the negative comments on their Facebook page. I also find it discourteous that an investigation was launched to retrieve lost funds, but that nothing could be done to restore a refundits way too late to have a case filed with Visa. Not only that, Customer Service never returned a phone call to advise that the case was closed. The explanation that was provided simply stated that the previous owner took everything and that BTR is under new management. Great! How about you try to keep your clientele and honour a partial refund or free item, rather than having someone be out of pocket for money that rightfully belongs to them? Items were purchased for, never received and a refund was placed on the account. Then one day, the refund suddenly disappears from the account. Your customers work hard for their money, yet you find it acceptable to continue managing a business of fraud. I, myself, will never order from your website again! BTR was a great company without any problems, but it has taken a turn for the worst! Its unfortunate that BTR is a Canadian company, one of which is no longer reputable. To everyone reading this, DO NOT PRUCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! Do your research before placing an order! Read the many reviews of frustrated customers who have also lost their money from BTR!
