The company has garnered mixed feedback from customers, with comfort and design of the shoes often praised. However, a significant number of reviews highlight concerns regarding product durability, with many customers reporting premature wear and inadequate quality for the price. Customer service experiences are frequently criticized, particularly in relation to handling returns and addressing product issues, leading to feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction. Overall, while the brand has a strong appeal due to comfort and style, persistent quality and service issues may deter potential buyers.

Shipping said would be here by yesterday. Sat at their store for a week before being shipped out. Then sat in Indianapolis for 3 more days. Now it says pending date for arrival. Called store to have them track the shipment, they refused to do it. About to cancel the credit card transaction clearly fraud. Doubt they even sent the shoes.
I bought a pair of white sugar zeffer sandals, wore them under normal walking conditions maybe 5 times and then tried to clean them because they became soiled on the toes straps. I tried the washing machine, hands washing with a towel and scrubbing with Wisk detergent and a toothbrush... there are still soiled. A rep from the company told me this is to be expected because they are made from natural fibers, not the answer I was looking for. After a couple weeks wear these have been relegated to the donation bin.
The woolen Mizzle is warm and waterproof but not buying again as sole is dangerously slippery. Advertised as having good grip. Incorrect
I was past the 30 day return policy and just asked to exchange the shoes. They said sorry they only allow returns up to 30 days. I understand it was my fault for not reading the return policy, but I thought since they were still brand new maybe they would exchange. The woman I spoke with on customer service was rude. Also I purchased a paid of tree dashers and after the 4th time wearing them the toe started to wear out and a hole popped in. The customer service department said it was normal wear and tear and I should size up.

Reputable company?
I had thought that Allbirds were a reputable company BUT:
My partner bought me a pair for Christmas 2 years ago, she bought them early so by the time Christmas arrived the return period had passed.
When I tried them on they were too tight but as there appeared to be nothing wrong we had to except that there was nothing we could do.
Last week I was spring cleaning and I came across the shoes and I decided to give them to a charity shop BUT... on examining them I realised that the size labelling was incorrect the Euro size didn't match the UK equivalent, so there was no way of knowing the actual shoe size. I contacted Allbirds and they confirmed that they had labelling issues and the labels were incorrect.
They refused any sort of refund because the shoes were out of warranty.
So, in summary, we have a company who manufactured and sold shoes that were incorrectly labelled but refuse to offer any sort of refund/compensation because the product is now out of warranty.
Do you really want to do business who treats its customers in such a shoddy manner.?
I'm a size 7.5 and originally ordered a size 8 (since they say to go up a size if a half size). The 8's were too large and after requesting an exchange and waiting about another week for it to show up, it finally did. Not only did they send me the wrong product, they sent me the wrong size. (A woman's size 11)
When contacting customer support it took a couple of days to get back to me, but then they asked me questions such as:
(1) Does that item match the description on the outside of the box?
(2) Confirm the address as well as the item(s) you were hoping to receive. As soon as you confirm we will expedite a replacement to you right away.
(3) We will email a prepaid return label to you once you confirm the information above. Print out the return label, and tape it over the current label on the box you received. No additional paperwork necessary.
(4) You can drop the box off at your local FedEx or USPS at your earliest convenience
NOTE: How am I supposed to know the type of shoe that was sent to me? I don't know their full product line. I just know that it wasn't what I ordered. Also, I do not have a printer (who under the age of 50 does?!) so after answering all of their questions I asked if they could send me another QR code.
I finally just asked them for a return because if the 7.5 didn't fit, I didn't want to have to drive all the way to a FedEx or USPS location to start the process all over again.
Last but not least, when I finally returned it today I received an email saying that a refund was on the way. I did not get fully reimbursed for the full amount that I paid, because the return was for the product minus shipping costs.
Overall, this was just a really bad customer experience, and I will never go through them again.
After just 6 wears already forming holes in socks. Do not buy anything from this company. Just garbage materials. They think that they are special. What a bunch of crap. You're Walmart.
I purchased a pair of the Wool Runner Mizzles May 2022. Shoes are clearly designed for little itty bitty feet, which is no surprise considering the company is located in Korea
I'll start with the cons:
1) They are very narrow - I do NOT have wide feet, have never worn "wide size" shoes or boots.
2) The tongue area of the shoe is extremely tight. So tight that the top of my feet hurt like hell. - I have undid & redid the laces a dozen times to no relief. After close examination, the tongue is actually stitched all the way to not allow flexibility (a cheap design found in knock off Nike shoes).
3) A $110 pair of shoes is pretty steep.
Pros:
1) They are light in weight.
2) They look nifty.
3) I fit in with the CNN crowd.
Incredibly ugly, basically a sock sewn to a rubber plate. Customer service is terrible, so much verbosity it is hard to know what to pay attention to. I tried these on and cannot say they were comfortable, my QC shoes are much better and likely last longer than these whimsies. Skip all birds, their process sucks and the shoes are sad. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing these. Back to ASICS, Nike, really any other brand I can trust. This is millenial idiocy to the max. 3 days later I have no return label. Oh, and I'm a disabled human so dealing with them has been that much worse- if I'd ordered them through Amazon it would be no hassle. Nope, gotta wait for my feel good self esteem stroking label to arrive. Yay. Go life.
I liked the look of the Wool Runners and they are comfortable, and they pack well in a suitcase, but they provide zero support for your feet. They are great if you're walking on carpet; outside on any hard surface, not so much. They work much better as slippers.
When you first receive your allbirds you'll love them, but when you see the holes come through you'll ask yourself if the $130-$160 was worth it for 6 months of light wear. Googled and seems to be a very common problem by internet complaints. Surely the company would have figured a way to solve this design flaw after years of being in business and IPO'ing? Feel very unsustainable - both environmentally and hippocket wise - throwing a perfectly good pair of shoes out but for that one toe hole. Please fix.
I ordered a pair of shoes for spring/summer and went out of town. While away I noticed a new color which was more preferable and planned on exchanging them when I returned but found there was a 30 day limit. The shoes are new in the box, all I wanted was a different color but no exceptions. They will not help me at all
Had these shoes just under the 30 day return period thankfully, have sent the man email to get the nasty things returned. They where super soft and comfortable for maybe the first couple days. Then one day after a commute to and from work, I began to notice that my heels really started hurting. When I got home i discovered the heels of my socks had been shredded and my heels had blisters all over them. I changed socks and didn't pay it much mind, until the same thing happened 2 more times before i realized its the shoes ripping my socks and then heels apart!
I didn't experience such pain and discomfort from my previous Uniqlo $30 runners that i abused for over a year. But these $150+ shoes brutally attacked me within a month. Definitely not worth the money.
While I find these shoes very comfortable. After 6 months of my first pair I bought a second, but was cautious as my first was showing that my big toe pressed into the top material. Well, now 1.5 years of wearing the first pair 3x/wk to work (the soles still show very little wear) they now have a hole starting on each of this first pair. The company has no warranty for this and no ability to fix it. So beware of you have toes that might poke a hole. For the price I'd think the material would be more durable.
I had an issue with a pair of Allbirds and the customer service was unhelpful and horrid. Apparently it is typical to have your toes poke through the front of your shoes after wearing infrequently over a few months. I will never buy from them again and I suggest no one else does either!
Just as comfortable at 8.5 months pregnant as they were when I bought them a year ago. Don't need to get a bigger size, never needed an insert for additional support. Super comfy, warm and breathable, I definitely recommend them! I have wide feet and a tall/high instep, so I wear the mens styles. No big deal, the shape is almost exactly the same and the colors are equally nice.
Allbirds shoes are anemically-made and dangerous to wear. Starting with the bottom soles, the treads cause slipping and sliding, with a propensity to cause hamstring and knee injuries. What little tread they do have is gone within a month. The midsoles absorb sweat and become sticky, smelly, heavy globs in weeks. The outer upper soles are as cheap and anemic as they come. You'll have holes at the toes before you know it. The only thing the shoes are good for is sitting down.
I had read some articles about these shoes. Good reviews, recommended also for Plantar Fasciitis so I bought one pair to give it a try but I founf out It's just a regular shoes like any other shoes. For 145 euro i was expecting little bit extra ( like piece of gold! Lol :P) but you know what i mean? What i don't like about it is that with in 3 months of purchasing, the shoes has these small fuzz balls (i don't know exactly what it called). But, yes these shoes are light weighted which is plus point.
I bought these shoes and only wore them a couple of times, until I had an event that required walking for several hours. I wore these shoes, and I got blisters so bad, at the end of the day I couldn't walk. I tried to return them, and the "customer services" told me that "the 30-day guarantee" had already passed and that they recommended that I give them to a relative or donate them. I have never felt so mistreated by a product and the poor attention to this problem. I feel like I was robbed, and I can't do anything about it.
Ordered a pair of Allbirds for the first time on Nov. 29th. Needed a half size larger. Allbirds refuses to exchange the shoes for a half size larger even though they have the shoe in stock. Consumer choice: keep shoes that are too small or return for a refund. Otherwise pay $20 more to get the correct size.
Terrible business practice. Refused to be highjacked by them, so return for refund.
Would have liked to try these shoes out and possibly be a long term customer.
Answer: Mine have not held up well. Had six pairs and am down to two pairs in less than a year. And the only reason these have not fallen apart is because I don't wear them that often since they are special colors. They are not worth $95.00. I had the tree runners and the wool runners, and they all did the same thing. My toes wore a hole in them. Very disappointed. I really wanted to love these shoes.
Answer: No! At least not for me. I was getting very sore feet (pain lasting days) after just puttering around my small retirement apartment, spending most of my waking hours sitting down.
Answer: It's hassle but they take returns, you'll be fine.
Answer: Yes, buy another brand, they're compete idiotic for not having half sizes. Neither one size up or size down fit me well enough to keep them, which makes sense since I'm a half size!
Answer: I got a hole in my first pair and they replaced them - there is already a hole in the second pair and they were very clear that they would not replace them again. It has only been a couple of months.
The world's most comfortable shoes, made naturally --- Using materials like merino wool and eucalyptus tree fiber, Allbirds has created the comfiest shoes on the planet.
