The company has garnered mixed feedback from customers, with comfort and design of the shoes often praised. However, a significant number of reviews highlight concerns regarding product durability, with many customers reporting premature wear and inadequate quality for the price. Customer service experiences are frequently criticized, particularly in relation to handling returns and addressing product issues, leading to feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction. Overall, while the brand has a strong appeal due to comfort and style, persistent quality and service issues may deter potential buyers.

When I received the shoes they were too big, my dad had been sick so I did not take the time to return them because I was dealing with getting him well. When I finally had a day to get in touch with the company I had missed the return date by four days. Very bad customer service for the price for what you pay for their shoes. Lesson Learned. With everything going on in today's Covid they could at least extend their return policy.
Their shoes could only last up to two months. Do not buy. Their insoles would become defunct and super uncomfortable to wear. Total waste of money. Their customer service team also confirmed this defect and advised us to get insoles elsewhere...
I found some reviews on "goodhousekeeping.com" regarding these shoes that it say: "Most users say the shoes run true to size. The majority of the styles are available in whole sizes 8-14 for men and 5-11 for women. If you're in between sizes, it's best to size up. The sneaker styles are also good for people with wide feet because the upper fabric is flexible" -- ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE ON BOTH CLAIMS... I WEAR SIZE 9 AND DECIDED TO ORDER TWO PAIRS - ONE SIZE 91/2 AND 10 AND BOTH RUN EXTREMELY SMALL AND MY FOOT HURTS AFTER WEARING THEM FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR... YES, THEY QUITE CONFORTABLE BUT THEY BRING HELL!
These are really comfortable shoes, but unfortunately every pair I own has worn out very quickly. The soles lose the tread fast and my toes pop through the top of the shoes after only a few months. I don't wear these shoes every day and I have gotten holes in the toes of 4 out of the six pairs I currently own. For $95.00 I expect much longer use from a pair of shoes. This has happened to both the wool and the eucalyptus shoes. Very disappointed in these shoes.
What a hassle of a process to end up with slip ons that are unwearable.
First, they say if you're a half size then they "recommend you size up" (which never works) but I listened since you'd think they'd now what they were talking about. Total fail, they slipped off my feel almost causing me to fall down the stairs in my building. I returned them for an 11 and while the return process was a bit of a hassle, I figured it would be worth it because they seemed they'd be comfortable in the right size (which sadly doesn't exist for us 1/2 size feet people).
The 11 was a bit snug but wearable as I only use them to knock around the house, that is until I washed them. The washing directions are clearly copied and pasted from another shoe since they say "pull out the laces" but these (the slip on Tree Loungers) don't have laces so guess what? They shrunk and don't fit at all now, again because they're 1/2 size too small.
Just make freaking half sizes you idiots! Well, not that I'd ever be buying these again.
I think for allbirds, it really depends on the product. This review would have been a 5 if they accepted returns on everything in the first 30 days, but they only do it for their shoes. Huge plus that they sell new insoles for $15, though.
The Socks: They run smaller than the website recommends. I should have fit their M based on their size chart, but it turns out I'm a Large. Once you have opened the packaging to find that out, they are non-refundable/non-exchangable. I called to ask since the sizing being wrong is really their fault, and they said no exchanges/returns for socks. Within a month, there were holes and wear marks all over the socks. Wouldn't buy them again, even in the right size.
The everyday sneakers: Weird fitting! I don't have particularly strange feet, but I could see the outlines of my toes very clearly through the shoes. Like the tops don't have enough height on them in the toe box area. They accepted the return with no questions.
The running shoes: REALLY love my running shoes from allbirds, and recommend them to anyone who asks! I'm usually a 9.5/10, and found that I had to exchange the 9.5s for a 10. While they felt right while trying on at first, my toes on my left foot kept falling asleep after a few miles of running (NEVER had that happen before haha but the 10s did not have that problem). They have held up for their first 4 months, with signs that they need to get replaced pretty soon (I run 5 miles 3-4 times a week; 4 months is a pretty regular interval for me).
The flats: LOVE them! I wear them 2-3 times a week and they are holding up great. I will say, they are a great cute shoe for walking around mildly for short periods, but they will cause chaffing on my back ankle if I walk to far in them. Great comfy going out shoes. Also, if you need arch support, these really are NOT the shoes for you.
Allbirds low hide socks constantly fall off the heel of my feet. Because my Allbird sneakers are slip-ons and not tight, my sneakers are a slight bit loose the way I prefer them, but this slight slip of shoe pushes the low hide socks off my heel, which is soooooo annoying!
I bought my Mizzles in May. Tried them on in the store, and didn't try with socks as website said you don't have to wear socks with them as wool and don't smell. I am so disappointed because I wish i tried a bigger size. Assistant said she thought size looked fine but they feel too small, and are not likely to stretch at all. Not sure if feet tend to swell as they get hot being wool? Wore them from the store to carpark 100 metres and had blisters. I also find I have compression marks from the laces on my feet and that part of the problem could be that the tongue is quite thin? So disappointed as i we expecting these to be the most comfortable shoes, like advertising says and they are not at all.
I had a pair of allbirds shoes for about two weeks. They were incredibly comfy and I was very satisfied with them. I ended up returning them because they were a bit too large since they do not offer half sizes. I decided to change up the direction I wanted to go with my style so I did not get another pair, but I wanted to leave a review because I had a wonderful experience wearing them and working to return them.
My only complaint is that they do not offer half sizes (8.5,9.5, etc.) 9.5 is my sweet spot and 10 left a little too much toe room. Otherwise, a great company that I would like to support with this review.
I wanted rothys, but couldn't justify paying for them. A friend suggested allbirds, and I bought a pair of their tree breezers (flats) in mauve pink. I LOVE them. They feel like socks, like an extension of my foot. They are sooo comfy, don't smell, and can be thrown in the wash. I was anticipating using them as an occasional shoe but I wear them everywhere. They are more supportive than I would expect for a pair of thin flats and my feet have yet to be sore after full days of wearing them. I bought a pair of the tennis shoes for my mom, who suffers from plantar fasciitis and has an awful time finding worthy shoes. I bought a couple different sizes and had no issues returning the others for free. All have been true to size. I appreciate that they are a sustainable organization and shoe boxes double as shipping packages. Overall am very impressed and don't even have a desire to own rothys anymore!
It seems that either these shoes are extremely comfortable or the complete opposite!
On the first wear, which was a walk around the neighborhood, I've found rubbing on my heels, causing blisters, which is so painful that no amount of tape and cotton wool can help, so having to wear different shoes until I can walk properly again.
I asked for advice from the help desk on whether the tightness at the front of the shoe will subside, and they suggested that they stretch about a quarter of an inch and recommend wearing socks for the first few weeks. At this stage I am thinking of returning them, which is disappointing as they are great looking shoes!
I generally run true to size with narrow feet, but I would certainly consider sizing up.
I bought these shoes over a year ago. The shoes are extremely comfortable with one exception. Where the shoe is tied under the bow and tongue rubs my foot where the ankle and foot meet. Has caused serious blisters that itch and are raw. I tried tying a loose bow but that didn't work. Takes a few days to disappear. I tried wearing socks but the irritation still occurs. Too bad, otherwise a nice shoe.
I was so excited to receive my cute yellow all birds after glowing reviews from several friends about how unbelievably comfortable they are.
Initially when I put them on they were super soft and comfy. The website says it's cool to wear them without socks so I went for a two mile walk with my dogs. About half way in my heels really started to hurt. By the end they were bloody. It's been 4 days and I still can't wear shoes with backs (see picture)
The best shoes for your feet don't need to be broken in or give you scars on your heels before they are wearable. Disappointed.
Being partially disabled, I bought Allbirds slippers over the internet. The first two pairs I tried were not suitable and when contacting Allbirds for replacement I was very surprised with their courteous and helpful staff. Nothing was to much trouble. The speed and efficiency was amazing. Thank you Allbirds.
Ordered two models (Savannah and Mizzles[strange name]) and both are well beyond expectations in terms of comfort. Light, airy and comfortable. Design is ok: the Mizzles model is a bit on the chunky side, while the Savannah gets stretched and distorted a bit after few wears. Even with that, I'd go with this shoes, as they are heaven for my feet. Ordering and shipping is a breeze, too.
The arrival on my Allbirds purchase
Was excellent and faster than the suggested delivery frame. As I work in a Hospital environment I can walk up to 25-35km a day. I am looking forward to wearing my Allbirds to gain better comfort for my feet. Nice stylish footwear good selection on offer and the sizing is spot on also priced very reasonably. A good marketing strategy provides plenty of information about the product and eco friendly which lead me to buying myself a pair.
My dog ate the back of my shoe so I called the NYC store they said I could exchange them for free. I love allbirds!
I suffer from extremely smelly feet. I wore my Allbirds all day today at work, came home and took a 4 mile walk. Just took off my socks and they smell like they're fresh out of the dryer! Really? Amazingly comfortable shoes along with incredible costumer service. Will definitely by again.
I ordered the Tree loungers in a size 8 as the Allbirds website says this pair is true-to-size and doesn't stretch. However, after a few months, mine are so stretched out that I can no longer even wear them. I contacted the company thinking they might be reasonable but was told that they would not exchange them since it was past the 30-day trial window. Obviously, the 30-day window seems generous but is far too brief for their shoes to stretch out from regular wear. No one should pay $95 for shoes that are unwearable less than a year later - will not buy again.
I live in a country Allbirds don't ship to so I ordered my tree runners to a hotel where I knew a family memebr will be staying in the US and the shoes arrived right on time. When my family mamber opened the box he found out that unforunately, they sent the wrong size. That's where the incredible customer service comes into action. I emailed them describing my situation and within 10 minutes a rep emailed me back saying they'll send an express package with no extra charge to the hotel so it will arrive before he has to leave. The package indeed arrived and I got my shoes.
Upon wearing them for the first time, I immidiately noticed they are VERY comftarble. The insole is padded, washable and provides me with plenty of support. After wearing them for a few weeks I can say that my impression of them hasn't changed and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Will definitely reccomend them to anyone.
Answer: Mine have not held up well. Had six pairs and am down to two pairs in less than a year. And the only reason these have not fallen apart is because I don't wear them that often since they are special colors. They are not worth $95.00. I had the tree runners and the wool runners, and they all did the same thing. My toes wore a hole in them. Very disappointed. I really wanted to love these shoes.
Answer: No! At least not for me. I was getting very sore feet (pain lasting days) after just puttering around my small retirement apartment, spending most of my waking hours sitting down.
Answer: It's hassle but they take returns, you'll be fine.
Answer: Yes, buy another brand, they're compete idiotic for not having half sizes. Neither one size up or size down fit me well enough to keep them, which makes sense since I'm a half size!
Answer: I got a hole in my first pair and they replaced them - there is already a hole in the second pair and they were very clear that they would not replace them again. It has only been a couple of months.
