I have no words for this company. I put out two garbage cans on Monday 1/2 full with apples. They did not take them, yet two weeks ago I had two cans FULL - they took those. I called Monday, they said they would be back to come get them, no one came, called tuesday morning was told they didnt see the note, they will come to day, they did not come, called tuesday evening, they said their shift is not over yet, they are en route, they never showed, called wednesday morning now they said the driver said they came tuesday at 3:30 pm and the cans are too heavy and left a tag on the can - they never came tuesday, I was working in my garage at that time, nor was their a tag on my can - lies! They had someone call me who said they came yesterday (tuesday) and the cans were full of apples and dirt and were too heavy, I explained to him, there is no dirt and no one came, the cans are in the same exact position and spot I put them in. All these people do is lie and pass the buck, the workers are lazy. I took the cans myself and dumped them into a bagster MYSELF a 5'3 girl. This is so beyond rediculous, everyone I talked to should be fired as every single one of them lied to me on the phone which I am sure is not their first time and won't be their last.

The only thing I can say go with any other waste company then waste management because they are the biggest rip off reminds me of a mafia in New York
My concern about future service issues when such a large corporation (Waste Management) took over our local trash service, came to pass this week. Our trash cart dissapeared when the truck came to empty our trash. Of course, we were very confused as to what may have happened, as there was no communication from WM. As was my fear, I spent 6 days TRYING to speak, email or message customer service. I spent hours of my time on their website, online chats, phone calls, etc. Unfortunately, while I heard the recording over and over (while on hold) how easy it is to take care of scheduling and issues on their website, it is DEFINITELY NOT SO! There was NO prompt to speak with someone and was only able to succeed with talking to a live person when I stated I wanted to cancel service. Even then, I was put on hold for 25 minutes as the customer service rep said she would have to transfer me to someone else to complete cancelation. After 25 minutes, I was disconnected and had to start over! In one phone call to a locally owned service, I arranged for new trash service and completed the paperwork while STILL on hold with Waste Management. I would not recommend Waste Management to anyone who likes good customer service and being able to reach someone if a problem develops.

If I could rate them a zero I would but this needs to be seen by someone! Make sure you are aware of what this company tries to do and belive the negatively because it's there for a reason.
Worse trash company EVER and watch your account because they are liars and thieves. First they try to charge over $109 a month for trash because they "messed up" somewhere in their system and they didn't fix it till I contacted BBB. Then they upped my rate by more than $20 for "fuel" surcharges. So I said enough and canceled service with them back in April after I already paid. They now are trying to bill me for another month (their cans were already picked up and everything) plus charge me for them picking up their trash cans. When I 1st signed up since I'm not keeping the cans they charged me for them and said it would be credited to my account, well that NEVER happened and now they want to try and charge me $200 because I closed my account and they had to pick up their trash cans THAT I PAID FOR! Customer service is a joke and nothing will be done unless you're like me and bring attention to their shady business. So IF you have them be sure to check your account monthly because I can just imagine how many others they do this to that don't even know about it.
At least once a month or more they do not pick up my trash. They always have some excuse and won't pick it up until the next scheduled week.
Over the summer the office mixed up our weeks. My husband called and got it fixed. We have two weeks of trashed so our barrels were over filling, the people at the office said that is was okay to put bags outside the barrels and they would not charge us. Well I guess this was never said to the driver and he was telling my husband he was taking pictures to show the office how much trash we had they will charge us. Once my husband told the driver about the mix up and that we will not be charged for this the driver got pissed he had to get out of his truck and pick up the bags. The driver said he will be talking to the office about this. He was so pissed off for whatever reason and wicked rude about everything.So my husband called the office and talked to the people in there and they said that they would handle the driver. And the only thing they said was "sorry for his attitude "…… so from this point of the driver has had issues with my husband and gives us a hard time even if our lid is open because he tries to say that we have too much trash!
So today I put my trash out like I do every week at the same time and the driver was no where in sight! I'm thinking everything is good. Well of course not! Because about 25 mins later (and no I do not live of a big seer, I live on a small dead end so it would not take him 25 mins to pick the four other houses on my street). I never saw their direct go by my house but I don't sit there and watch all day but I did see the driver sitting across from my house on his phone. Not sure what's going on because my trash was never picked up, I call to talk to someone about this because I mean tomorrow is thanksgiving and you need to have empty trash cans with all the cooking and everything! Well the women I talked to was so extremely rude to me and did not seem to care. I tried to explain to her what happen and she said well I can send him again and we will charge you for a fee for a second pick up or you can wait till next week. Like are you kidding me? She could have cared less what i was saying to her! These people do not care about their costumes. Do not use them if you do not have to!

We have been dealing with POOR customer service from WM for the last year or so. We enrolled in autopay and every-time they cut our account off when the bill is due and so when we call ( like the website tells us to do in order to pay our bill) WE CAN NEVER GET AHOLD OF ANYONE! We have to keep calling and keep on hold until someone decides to work and answer the phone to assist. And our account will clearly state autopay when they look it up… we have canceled our services with them simply because of the constant billing issue and the piss poor customer service…FYI we called Meridian Trash Services and they picked up by the 3rd ring! We now have an account with them.
Waste management has existed under monopoly like conditions and their total lack of customer focus shows it and why they contribute to loose city and individual accounts - multiple times in the City of Port Washington we had missed pickups and partial pickups meaning their incompetent drivers would not hold a container upright to fully empty a container when we called we literally had a "customer service" rep tell us since we were city residents we didn't really "pay" for service and as such could not lodge a complaint - how ignorant and unschooled can someone be to not understand resident taxes pay for that service? Unfortunately for us we didn't realize the city of port Washington had cancelled them, and we continued as town residents - no more, my spouse was recovering from a surgery - I explained this to Louis a text representative, who then said because "I admitted" we didn't get our containers out in time they could only pickup with an extra charge - I admitted? To what the truth? How incompetent is WM hiring people who deal with customers like that? That was the last straw and we cancelled our contract with them immediately - fortunately for their competitors they have a very low bar to reach now, missed pickups, not fully empty containers no worries still better than the total unprofessional half-wits at Waste Management - when Lisa the person who then begged us to stay asked if there was anything at all they could do to keep us satisfied I wished I had told the truth again - seeing Waste Management declare bankruptcy and go out of business might help but then it might only mean these incompetents will wind up working and tearing down other companies.

Pick up day was June 15th 2023. Didn't happen. Contacted WM. June 16th. Said they would pick up by end of day. It's now June 19th. Still no pick up. 2nd time this has happened.
I am utterly dismayed and utterly furious with the abhorrent practices of this so-called Waste Management company. Let me make it clear: stay far, far away from these charlatans if you value your sanity, your finances, and your dignity.
First and foremost, their deceitful tactics are utterly despicable. They lured us into an agreement with a Latino organization, conveniently failing to explain the terms properly in Spanish. This is not just a mere oversight; it's a blatant act of deception targeting vulnerable communities. Shame on them for preying on language barriers to trap unsuspecting customers.
And let's not even get started on their slimy salesperson. They were like a snake oil salesman, smooth-talking their way into our wallets without a care for honesty or integrity. Their lack of transparency is reprehensible and frankly, criminal.
But wait, it gets worse. The service provided is an absolute travesty. Inconsistent billing? Check. Overcharging? You betcha. It's like they see us as nothing more than cash cows to be milked dry.
And when you try to break free from their clutches? Good luck. They'll unleash their inner bully, hounding and harassing you to stay locked into an agreement you never wanted in the first place. Their audacity knows no bounds.
Oh, but don't think for a second that they're willing to rectify their wrongs. No, their idea of customer service is a sick joke. Once they've got you roped in, they couldn't care less about your satisfaction or well-being. They'll treat you like dirt unless you agree to dance to their tune for the next three years.
And let's not even talk about their prices. Outrageous doesn't even begin to cover it. It's daylight robbery disguised as a service.
In conclusion, this Waste Management company is a disgrace to the industry. They're manipulative, unethical, and downright immoral. Save yourself the headache and the heartache. Take your business elsewhere, anywhere but here. They don't deserve a single cent of your hard-earned money.
