After I was laid off as part of a reduction in force at my Oil & Gas employer, I decided on using Top Resume because

1) I received a good review from a friend (he received a call back on the first submittal of his new resume), and
2) because after researching similar companies - apples to apples comparison for service/ content packages including the company that I had for 30 days free through my former employer, TopResume was the top candidate in regards to services versus price.

I chose to do the top level package as I knew my LinkedIn page and cover letter needed a professional touch that it was not getting from me. I was matched up in less than 48 hours with my writer, Barri, and we got to work on the resume. We communicated several times a day through most of the process.

I knew that my resume was a slightly out of date, but as a hiring manager, I had not read any recent resumes that had given me any idea on how to update it. Barri immediately came back with suggestions on everything! I had a ton of questions relating to current resume trends that she patiently educated me in regards too. I was very pleased to have a interested and knowledgeable writer - I learned about her industry and she learned about Quality and O&G. She was very receptive to the corrections I requested and we had many discussions on the whats and whys of the suggested changes.

I started the process with Top Resume on 06 June 2016 and we finished it nine days later on 15 June. The LinkedIn rewrite, the resume, and the cover letter all look great. I couldn't be happier about the whole experience. I have already recommended this service to others.

After reading another review on another site, it didn't surprise me that the "critiques" (which was almost instantaneous) were practically identical. After 1week of paying my fee, all I received was an automated response. Following an email expressing my concern, I was offered a refund to cancel or a 25% discount. I accepted the discount, and was immediately "assigned" a writer. Three days later, a full two weeks after payment, I had still not been contacted by a writer at all, despite sending several emails to my "order####" email with additional information.

This is a very critical service they are offering at a pretty hefty price. Better communication is not that hard.

I asked for a refund and again, immediately received an agreeable response. Not sure where the ball was dropped, but it's time to spend my money with someone who WANTS my business.

I got the package where they write your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. I did the survey, but was told the person who they had picked to write my documents was not available, so I had to switch to someone else. I felt like the person did a good job and making the right changes, but did feel like my resume was a little cookie cutter. She did a good job of slimming it down, and I have gotten some interest with my new documents. I will definitely using the money back guarantee if I do not get any interviews since it is a lot of money to spend.

For years, I sold myself short and thought my resume was great. Top resume pointed out some things on my resume that made a lot of sense and I realized I had been selling myself short. I'm glad I made the choice to go with the. As an example, I applied for a job with one company using my old resume and was turned down. They had another opening that I put in for with my new resume and the recruiter was impressed with my resume and wants to talk further. I should have made this move a few years ago.

I have not been out of work since college I needed a good overhaul of my resume as it was very dated. Worked out very well with Danielle. She was very quick with turn around and was very easy to work with. It took some time to get started (waited over a week for a response once I signed up), but once we started working it was done in a few days. A few misspellings and incorrect dates, but nothing major I could not correct in a few since it is in Word. Great overall experience and believe this will help in my career moving forward.

Excellent understanding from the resume writer about my objectives and issues I met before regarding my resume. More than just a resume, the professional I was in touch with also provided me very good tips that I used for my interviews as well.

Extended delay before writer assigned. Be prepared to work hard, as is interactive, collaborative process, with writer not necessarily familiar with your field or career. Writer was efficient and knowledgeable concerning constructing the products purchased (resume and cover letter) and offered a couple of different formatting options. Over-priced for the amount of work one has to do oneself to contribute towards desired outcome. And, all based on e-mail correspondence. No person-to-person telephone conversation allowed. Nice writer. Good end product.
