It's ridiculous that after 12 weeks, my Travelocity transactions are still marked Pending. There is no earthly reason they should not be payable after THREE MONTHS.
Gave it one more shot...
Lured in by double % for a big-ticket item. Did textbook click-through I use used for 15+ yrs (never been rejected, other than TCB before)... site show click... everything is tracked.
TCB says another affiliate got credit, but won't say who... I know who... TCB.
I'm done. If the CB is less than a $1 it's worth the risk, if not AVOID.
This just REEKS! Small $... no prob. Anything substantial... your CRAZY to not go elsewhere... % may be lower elsewhere but a low % is better than NO%.
Hi Will,
I'm very sorry to hear that you've had cashback rejected a couple of times When we advise you of a reason for a declined claim, we are merely relaying the reason which the retailer has passed to us. You're not correct in saying that TopCashback has kept your cashback and offered an excuse, this simply is not the case. When a retailer declines a claim stating that they have awarded the cashback commission to a different marketing source (which could include a rival cashback site, comparison site, coupon code or even a Google search) we are not provided with the full details of the organization they did award it to as this is confidential information between the retailer and that website. So as much as we'd like to be able to elaborate further, we're not always able to and we can only pass on the information to you that we receive ourselves. Also, the cashback amounts themselves would have no bearing on eligibility. We pass on 100% of the cashback we receive for your purchase back to you, but in cases where retailers refuse cashback for whatever reason they deem fit, this means that we have no cashback to pass on to you. After we have disputed a retailer by way of a claim, and this is again returned to us rejected, this is the retailer's final decision. So as much as we'd want to keep on 'batting for you' as you've mentioned, a final decision is a final decision, so we can't keep on disputing where a final decision has been made.
You may want to take a look at your web browser settings, as you've mentioned you cleared cookies and didn't use a coupon, it could be that you have an ad-blocker running on your browser, and these too can effect the tracking of cookies, so this is worth looking at prior to making further transactions, or using an incognito/private browser can also help if you're unsure of your current settings.
I'm sorry again that you've not had the best experience on this occasion, and it's disappointing you feel this way, especially as you've mentioned yourself that you have a whole year of transactions tracking without an issue.
Best wishes,
Patrick
Ive used click through referral purchase websites for over 10 years. About a year ago I was lured into the TCB site by all the claims if higher % payouts on purchases when compared to other sites I've used. Often these payout rates were 2 to 3 times higher, or claimed fewer restrictions than competition.
For a year I made small purchases and found the rate to be accurate. Earning a total of $100 CB. Based on that I made a very large purchase clicking through the site. The rate was higher than competition (as typical) and I completed every step to verify my claim through TCB was valid. Cookies cleared. Browser filters turned off. Item placed in cart after clicking through. Never clicked through any other site. I even immediately noted transaction following purchase. The only thing I did do was video screen grab entire process. The CB was for $42+ so I very careful. After purchase the site even registered the click 3 min prior to my purchase so it appeared the system was working. As per T&C the pending process can take some time. After 1 month I opened a CS claim to investigate the issue about a month later I was told vender reported transaction was made going through another CB site. This was impossible. After several emails back an forth it was determined that either TCB was lying about the status of my claim OR vendor was (Expedia.com). Either way TCB had no interest in getting additional details or providing them - and I wasn't getting my money.
Long story shirt. Don't trust those great CB rates - my experience proves they WON'T go to bat for you when their is a descrepency and you have proof. If they offer 6% back and a competitor offers 4% consider the fact the real rate might be 0% when your claim is denied. I'd highly recommend their competition: ebates.com, MrRebates.com, DollarDig.com. In my experience the CB rates are lower but CS and claim accuracy is much higher. When I've had issues they were quick to investigate and explain situation completely.
I gave TCB every possible avenue to rectify this in any possible way - still they have no interest which is a shame. You might say I've had a yr of good transactions and only one bad one, but that one was for almost half $ value of the others. If a site can't be trusted for the large purchases then it's only a matter of time they won't be able to be trusted for the small purchases - ones you won't spend much effort getting resolved.
Before you use their service consider my experiences... You've been warned!
I loved this site and had earned $106. I got an email while I was on vacation that my request for my money was approved and then that it was available. I was on vacation so I ignored it and reviewed all my email when I was home. Turns out someone had accessed my account and requested an Amazon gift card and redeemed it before I even realized it. Chatted with TopCashBack and they told me to check with Amazon, but they can't do anything about it.
Went back and started a case with TopCashBack and they gave me a runaround. When I asked why they couldn't see the IP address or the location of the person who requested the check they asked me where I was when it happened. When I told them I was in Florida all communication stopped (I'm assuming they knew it was requested from someplace other than Florida and didn't want to take responsiblity)
Once those communications stopped I could no longer log in with my email address. Requested a password reset and never received. Then tried the 'contact us' form and receive a delivery failure email in response. Today I tried it with my other email account, and wouldn't you know it, it went through.
In summary,
1. TopCashBack had someone infiltrate their security (even if someone stole my account information, the request for the Amazon gift card was done from within their system)
2. They refuse to take responsiblity
3. The worst part is that they seem to have completely deactivated my account in an attempt to prevent from taking any further action to retrieve my $106 from them. There is no phone number to reach them and their integrtiy is appalling.
I am really hoping that I am wrong and there is more a technical glitch than someone deactivating my account. I really can't believe that a company can and would operate in this manner. Stay away
Hi there Sarah,
First of all please note that if your account had unauthorized access, this would not be a breach of our systems but from a source outside of TopCashback.
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue and I can see that you have made contact with us via email and our team are now working on resolving this issue for you.
Many thanks,
Patrick
TopCashBack is one of my favorite sites to go for cashback. Together with a couple of others. There are usually the few of them that offers consistently the highest cashback for all merchants that I usually shop at. I like that TopCashBack offers % bonuses for certain cash out options. I always receive my cash out in 1-3 days without fail. I am not sure why others are reporting the bad experiences they have had, but till date, I already cashed out over $500 from them successfully. The reporting feature for transactions that were untracked was also reliable for me for the minimal problems I have encountered (mostly as a result of ad block or something of my own fault).
Hi Derrick!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with the Sitejabber community! I'm glad you're getting the most out of our service and I hope you continue to enjoy saving money through TopCashback in the future:)
Thanks,
Patrick
This site used to work and my husband did get his money back in day. I decided to start a new account and I made a huge $7,000 purchase with a store offering 15%. The store honored it and gave me the cashback, and I went to get paid. Topcashback said it needed 3 days to send me the payment. 2 weeks later, nothing. I ask them wtf? They say they need proof that I actually made that transaction (they had already approved the transaction and allowed me to cash out). Took them a week of emails, then they casually and without explanation tell me that they have cancelled my payout request and that I should start it again. I go to my account and there is only $100 there, instead of $1000. If I am not paid my money, I am going to file a lawsuit.
Hi there Shawna,
Where high-value transactions are concerned we often take extra security measures to ensure the legitimacy of the transaction, and if all is ok we have no problem in releasing payment. It sounds like something may be amiss with your account so please can I ask you to get in touch with me directly and I'd be happy to shed some light on this for you and get to the bottom of the issue. You can reach me by sending in a support ticket from your account or via our Facebook & Twitter channels.
Many thanks,
Patrick
They still owe me over $100 in cash back from using their site. It wasn't a problem before, but lately its every other purchase. Ebates my be lower, but at least they stick to their promise of cashback.
OH and P.S. - When you ask them about the missing CashBack they will do the loop-de-loop and tell you we only give you the cash we get. Then divert the nonsense to saying "well other sites will keep a portion of the cashback, we don't" I call complete B.S. on that. Show us some transparency then TopCash. Please Prove me wrong, because I have told you to fix these missing amounts multiple times. If you even ask the vendors, I have no idea. Or you guys just need the extra cash. Either Or, I needed to learn my lesson and go back to Ebates, They may pay a little less, but at least they don't miss payments like you guys.
Hi Jered,
I'm sorry to hear you've had a negative experience with us. We certainly do pass on 100% of commissions we receive from retailers back to you, the member. This is 100% cashback model is fully transparent, so I'm unsure what further transparency you are meaning. We do everything we can to challenge a retailer in the event of declined or untracked cashback, so we will dispute retailers' decisions anywhere we can, although ultimately it is the retailer who validates the transaction and decide whether cashback is eligible. If you wanted to make contact with us, feel free to send in a support ticket or alternatively you can contact me through any of our social media pages and I'd be more than happy to take a look at this further for you.
Thanks,
Patrick
Although my payments were cited as Payable my last four requests were never received and the Company is non responsive. Never had a problem with Rakuten - less cashback, but they actually pay you, use this company instead!
Hi Katherine,
I can confirm that we have not stopped payments to PayPal. If you have had four payments fail to reach you, this would indicate an issue with your PayPal account. Possibly meaning that your PayPal account is not verified or has not been set-up to receive US$ payments. Either way we'd be happy to investigate this for you if you could please get in touch with our team using the link below:
www.topcashback.com/account/enquiries/tickets/submit/
Thanks,
Patrick
Site will promote attractive cash back rates but you will never actually receive payouts. Use other cash back sites that actually pay what is due.
Hi Bob,
This is certainty not the case. TopCashback pass on 100% of all cashback awarded to us by retailers. If you would like to get in touch with us over a support ticket from your account, we can look into any issues to do with your payouts. You can reach the support tickets here: www.topcashback.com/account/enquiries/tickets/submit/
Thanks,
Patrick
It sucks. My purchases were never logged correctly, and their response is super slow. At the end they replied that I didn't click their site to go to the real shopping site. Oh well, I did. Anyways, not worth your time here, it's completely a joke.
Hi Alexandra,
I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience using our site. Transactions are tracked via cookies, so we'd advise to click-through after clearing cookies/cache to enable the retailer to track your transaction smoothly. Also if you do not fully meet the retailer's T&C's, such as using coupon codes, cashback will not track or will go on to be declined. If you'd like to get in touch via a support ticket, our team will gladly assist you with looking into any missing cashback.
Many thanks,
Patrick
I have signed up twice, made purchases and never received a dime. Topcashback does not seem to have a phone number or email to contact them so I can't resolve this issue. If I try to submit a ticket, it won't accept it. Who has time for this?
Hi there,
TopCashback does not operate a call center. As we pass on 100% of commissions received back to the member, this would be a very costly expense which is why we have the support ticket system in place. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble sending us a support ticket. You may want to try an alternative web browser or you can also get in touch on our social media pages on Facebook & Twitter, so we'd be more than happy to assist you there.
Regards,
Patrick
I signed up for TopCashBack right before making two major purchases (for me) considering the rebate for both of those purchases was going to be significant. It seems to take an obnoxious amount of time to receive any payout and then, lo and behold, the merchant for the first of my major purchases has supposedly "declined". Declined based on what? I have the purchase made through that link (which was tracked). The second large purchase is still pending and after reading reviews both here and on other sites, I won't be surprised if that one is "declined" too. I'm attaching pictures of my purchase as recorded by the merchant, the TCB acknowledging tracking my link to said merchant, my TCB account with the "declined" status for said purchase, and, courtesy of the Internet Wayback Machine, a screencap of how much cashback said merchant was offering on the date of my purchase, which is why I purchased through TCB in the first place. I filed an inquiry into the "declined" status and if I'm not mistaken, I might end up receiving a mere fraction of what I was supposed to receive. As soon as my purchases are sorted and taken out of "pending" status, then I'm cashing out and closing my account.
Hi Hillary,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm sorry to read that you've had some transactions declined. When a retailer declines cashback this would usually indicate you have not fully met their terms and conditions. So we'd advise to double check retailers terms prior to making a purchase to ensure that your transaction qualifies. If you have already lodged claims for declined transactions this means that our claims team will then dispute the matter with the retailer and do everything we can to try and get the decision overturned. If you would like an update on any of these claims, please get in touch via a support ticket and we'd be happy to take a look for you.
Thanks,
Patrick
This site is a joke. You will NOT get paid, don't be fooled by their high cash back rebates. You will not get it. They cost me a lot of money. I have used Ebates and Mr. Rebates for 9 years now. I signed up for TopCashBack because they advertised higher cash Back rates than anywhere else. There is a reason for that, they keep it all. I know how to use Cash back sites and used TopCashBack the same as always. It's pretty simple but they make it harder than it has to be. Well over half, probably 75% of my Rebates were not given to me. I made about 20 transactions and maybe got 5 of them, all for small amounts. I make so many purchases online and I don't have time to babysit these kind of websites. I opened up claims to get my cashback but there was always some excuse not to pay me. It's not worth my time to get all the required info to PROVE my rebate. I shouldn't have to prove anything, your website should work as intended. I rarely if ever have issues with Ebates or Mr. Rebates so I'm sticking with them. Please don't believe any positive reviews you read about topcashback because there is no way they are real reviews. Trust me it is not worth your time or lost money to hopefully get a few extra % back. I closed my account with them. Hopefully someone shuts them down or starts a class action lawsuit against them because they deserve it and I will be the first one to sign up for the lawsuit.
Hi Chad,
I'm sorry to read you haven't had a positive experience, but we certainly do not 'keep all of the cashback' as you have claimed. TopCashback, unlike many cashback sites, operate a 100% model. This means that we pass on 100% of the commission we receive for your sale back to you, the member, by way of cashback. If a retailer declined cashback, this is not our decision. Cashback is funded by the retailers, so if they decide that your transaction was ineligible for cashback they will not award us a commission for your sale. Our claims team will investigate missing or declined cashback for our members and we will dispute on your behalf, but if the retailer declined a claim we will relay that decision back to you. Ultimately if a retailer declined to pass on cashback to us, we have no cashback to pass onto you.
You can improve your tracking rate by ensuring that you follow the terms and conditions set-out by your chosen retailer. This information is clearly displayed on each merchant's page on our website.
Thanks,
Patrick
As an regular shopper on aliexpress i had a cart full of items i already have picked out. I heard about top cash back and was checking it out and saw aliexpress on there and clicked. It then opened my app and i went to my cart just looking. A lot of the items more than doubled in price. A $20 purse went to $46, $10 shirts went to $20. So I closed the browser and app. Then reopened the app like normal and prices were lower again. I tried this a few times and same thing. They are making a huge profit scamming people on prices just on that one site. So I can imagine it is the same on other sites. I wouldn't bother with this app for that reason. If you use this make sure you research your prices before clicking thru their site, I have a feeling they jack up the prices on all sites.
Hi Amy,
TopCashback do not have any control over prices set by retailers, so we are not in a position to 'jack up prices' as you've mentioned, this is entirely down to the retailer. However, retailers should never be displaying different prices depending on how you have navigated to their website. If you could get in touch via a support ticket to show us examples of this different pricing, we would like to investigate this further with the retailer.
Thanks,
Patrick
This site is a fraud! You will not see any cash back from purchases or travel! They give every excuse to not pay. Not clearing "cookies" etc. even though you have proof of purchase or that you took a trip etc. None of these excuses are posted on their website so they are NEGLIGENT! Had to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission because I am out over $700. I could have used another legit cash back website and not had any problems but I gave them a try for the first time. BIG MISTAKE. Avoid this website!
Hi Susan,
I'm sorry you feel this way but TopCashback is certainly not a scam and we do not give excuses to refuse cashback. If a retailer declines cashback and a reason is provided, we will then relay that information to you. It is the retailers who wholly fund cashback and ultimately it is their decision whether to award cashback based on their terms and conditions being met.
We offer tips and suggestions to members to help our members ensure that their transactions can be tracked correctly, but these are not excuses as you have mentioned.
Regards,
Patrick
Don't take a chance on using top cash back, you will not get paid out. They come up with every excuse every time as to why you weren't paid. Start with oh you didn't click through our website, um yes I did here's the proof. Oh you used a promo code, no I didn't use a promo code, oh then you didn't clear your cookies, yes I cleared my cookies here's the proof, oh then you used a different account, um no again here's the proof, oh let me check further for you... as time and time - months and months go by... let me nudge this shat more... more time goes by, oh let me contact the retailer... unfortunately the retailer didn't approve the transaction. Sorry. LOL... this will happen. So I contacted the retailer... the retailer didn't know who top cash back was but they knew Ebates. They looked into top cash back and told me they would not recommend them. When you try to use top cash back u can't use another cash back site and you lose out on that cash back for that purchase. You also can't believe the positive reviews from trustpilot because businesses pay for people to review to improve their SEO search engine. It's on their website. This is the biggest joke and scam.
Hi Jack,
We aren't coming up with excuses but rather providing you with tips and suggestions as to why this could be the case when it comes to cashback being declined. We don't receive specific reasons from the retailer but we do our best to point out why it could have happened to it can help prevent issues in the future.
Whilst I understand it's still frustrating not to receive your cashback, we can only pass on the amounts that we receive from the retailer and if they decline a cashback amount, we can only repeat what we've been told. Also, nudged help us to organise what takes priority on delayed claims that need resolving, they do not mean a response will be given and we do mention this on our site. If you would like an update then please post a message to the claim instead and we will respond within 24 hours.
I hope this helps but any further questions are more than welcome.
Thanks,
Jack
Just as their name suggests, TopCashBack.com gives consumers "cash back" when they make online purchases. AND --- just as their name suggests --- TCB (from my experience with them) provides the "Top" cash back of all "cash back" websites. To "Top" it off, if you ever have a problem, their excellent customer service team will quickly solve it for you. I have personally dealt with a representative named "Jack" --- and have found him to be the best CSR I have dealt with in my entire life! --- Signed, Barry H.
My experience with TopCashback has been beyond my expectations. I think the reason why some people don't try it is because they think it's too good to be true, or they wonder "what's the catch?" I personally received close to $80.00 in cash back since I started using it late last year. It's only been somewhere around 5 transactions. I guess I need to use it more. To me it allows me to buy photographic equipment (Fuji) and get an additional discount no matter their promotion. Also purchased car repair supplies.
There was 1 issue from a merchant who did not pay out right away, but the customer service team did a fabulous job helping me recover my cash back! I have received all my payouts so far. Combine this with the points you get with your credit card... This is more money in my pocket, thanks to TopCashback!
So thank you, and thank you, and thanks again!
Attached is a screenshot of my payout from my TopCashback account :)
I've sent at least 3 Support Tickets for the same issue. I've never received a response. I can't redeem my earned cash back until the problem is resolved. Maybe that's why I'm being ignored?
Hi Mark,
We never ignore our members :) If you haven't already, I'd check your support ticket as we respond to all tickets within 24 hours. If you're still having trouble seeing this response, please send a message through our Facebook or Twitter where we'd be happy to pick this up and point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jack
I had a question and they was very prompt with the answer and was so helpful to me. Also kind and considerate.
Shopping online and getting cashback is awesome - win, win. And their CS team is amazing! Keep on doing what you guys are doing!
Answer: I'm a glutton for punishment. So, my view of a success story may differ from your tastes. I bought some liquor at Total Wine & More, going through TopCashBack, in early March. 6 months later, after multiple back and forths, see this absolute disgrace of an answer TCB gave to get out of paying me: Sep 03 2023 Hi there, Unfortunately in this case the retailer has awarded the commission (cashback) for your sale to another affiliate. These other affiliates can include rival cashback portals, comparison sites or even a simple click on a Google ad. This has resulted in the tracking cookie not linking back to TopCashback. We are not denying that you clicked-through to make the purchase from your TopCashback account, but certain aspects can have a negative effect on your transaction tracking and TopCashback not being recognized as the 'last referrer' of the sale. Reasons for a retailer making this decision can include: -If your computer cookies were not cleared before making a transaction -Another website, cashback portal, pop-up advertisement, search engine or comparison site may have linked to your transaction -Coupon codes which are not advertised by TopCashback. -Using ad-blockers on your browser These are only suggestions, however, as the retailer does not advise us which of these is applicable in your particular case. As this is the retailer's final decision, I'm afraid this isn't something we can dispute further. For any future purchases we'd recommend to clear cookies prior to logging-in to your account and avoid the use of coupons unless you see the code posted on our site. We hope any further transactions are more successful for you. Best wishes, TopCashback Support Even scumbag personal injury lawyers don't give these kind of tortuous excuses to absolve their obligations! That is one success story for a man and a giant leap for...what is the word I'm looking for?
Hi Kim,
I'm sorry haven't appeared to have checked Travelocity's terms for cashback before posting your review. As mentioned beneath their cashback offer: "Cash Back is only paid out when the booking is completed, cash back may initially track at $0.00." We would expect the cashback to uplift to the full amount once Travelocity validate your transaction, which wouldn't begin until you have completed the stay. So there's certainly no scams at play whatsoever. For future transactions we'd highly recommend to check the retailer's terms and conditions for these details.
Thanks,
Patrick
