I tried to order vitamins that a doctor recommended I get for headaches. One of my family members ordered it for me, since I am currently struggling financially. They didn't ship the vitamins though because they said "the address needs to match the card." I can't believe in 2021 this still happens. I would have been happy to verify on the phone that yes, this is my address no card has been stolen and my family would have been happy to verify additional info but this shouldn't need to be done at all. Does this place not understand that sometimes you order something for someone else? Such a stupid store that I am never wasting my time at again. I cancelled my order and ordered somewhere else that gave us no trouble at all. Also, if a credit card was stolen why would someone order non expensive vitamins of all things?

I have ordered from them for over ten years. After two weeks of waiting for my order I called and they told me the item was on back order, ask to speak with maneger she gave me other reason. I would have thought someone would have sent a email with in the two weeks I am going to try lucky vitamins or i_herb to see how they conduct business.

Poor Service

I had 2 recent orders from them that were lost, but when I contacted them they sent out the orders again and I received them. Just a hassle trying to get my orders. I ordered again on June 27th of this year, and have been waiting. I emailed them but got no response. I called today and on the automated order tracker it said that it was still processing. I then called again to talk to customer service, and the lady on the phone informed me that because of a payment issue back in November 2020, my order had been cancelled. I tried to reason with her, and she kept repeating the same thing over and over like she was reading from a script. "I am sorry, ma'am, but because of the payment issue in November 2020 this order was cancelled." I got really angry, and she kept saying the same thing over and over. Told her I have been a good customer for a long time, but will not be ordering any more from swanson vitamins.

Lousy Service

I placed an order for several supplements on 19 June 2021. I have been following up on my order via their chat service as well as thru email but never heard back from Swanson until I decided to call their customer service number only to learn that they seem to have not shipped my products!

I told the agent to just cancel my order but I was told that I can't since the products are on its way.

I insisted to cancel and told them to refund my money and was told again that it will take 3-4 weeks to make a refund.

This will give them a total of 6-7 weeks holding on to my money!

I am truly disappointed with Swanson!

Every time I try to check out over about 2 years now so before Covid it just goes into the circle of death routine and the checkout never proceeds. I've tried switching to PayPal and it still happens. GRRRR. No doubt Swansons has lost a lot of my business as I can't be the only one. At first they told me this was happening to a lot of people and they were working hard to fix it. Last time they said no it's my older computer and software choice of Firefox. I switched to 2 other browers and nope. I forwarded their email special to my brandnew Lenova Window 10 computer and yes I was able to check out but they reduced the deal to nil. That makes no sense since both computers are identified by same e-address and so my account and password is identical too. And the add was the very add they sent me? So I make fewer and fewer buys on Swanson and wonder how many other folk have the same issue. I can get my order through but I have to call them and go through all of that. I find it annoying to say the least. I have switched a number of my products to Amazon including some Swanson's brands though a bit more on Amazon it's just so much less hassle and less worry as no need to give numbers over the phone etc. Sure enough tonight once again no go. This is before I even get a chance to put in the CC or use a registered on site version. Swanson so needs to get their ACT together and fix this if they want everyones business. Not everyone wants and many can't afford the newest computers and tablets and cellphones out there. We live in rural area where 78% of the county is a dead zone. It's a huge county in NW MT and between most major towns it's dead zone so not very many folk have adapted to cell phone use or smart phones. Bottom line Swanson if you read this review PLEASE FIX this. In our tech oriented world there is no excuse from your IT department not to resolve or patch things on your end. If I find time tomorrow and the special is still good not expired I will try to find a time to call. Otherwise another lost order.

This has happened more than once, but yesterday, every item I ordered was between 25 and 30% off. When I got my order confirmation, all items were normal price before the discounts. This was a difference of $13.56. I'm done with this company.

As one who has numerous internet accounts, and am very much aware of what and how a functional website operates, I find myself becoming very agitated when I attempt a very simple checkout at Swanson! All my payment information, mailing address, etc., is on file there, so, when my order is completed it should be a very routine and simple matter of choosing my payment option and my address and the order is complete!
Time after time I have found myself spending 15 to 20 minutes just on the checkout alone! Instead of completing the checkout the webpage suddenly reverts to a CBD ad and I find all my checkout information has been deleted, and if I want to complete my order I have to start my payment information all over.
My conclusion: A few lower prices on a few substandard supplements is not worth the frustration and hassle!
So, it's adios, farewell and gluckliche Reise Swanson; when you see fit to really do customer service by hiring a computer programer who is qualified and is not a recent graduate of Sandbox, I might consider returning!

I have been a Swanson Vitamins customer for about seven years, and I'm highly satisfied. Great products, great prices, and great service. Not only can I buy Swanson Vitamins at their website, but I can buy other brand name Vitamins at about half the price that I can find them in stores.
I had low vitamin D levels in spite of taking calcium and vitamin D supplements until I tried their D3 with coconut oil. The very next blood test I had optimum levels and they have remain there since.
I have food allergies and with only one kidney I have restrictions on what I can take. Their customer service department searched for supplements that fit my very specific criteria, including organic ginger. Very friendly, very helpful. Highly recommend.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this company and was hesitant to order, but their prices were so great, I decided to give it a shot. The order went through seamlessly with the additional site coupon, aside from an extra shipping charge I didn't notice at check out despite the coupon saying free shipping over $50. Some reviews had stated they were charged incorrectly, so I called customer service to cancel my order, got through right away, and they quickly refunded the shipping plus gave me an additional $5 off. The box arrived within a few days with all items well packed and in great condition. Terrific value, as some items were 40% below Amazon and other website prices! I would recommend to try this company as I'm glad the negative reviews were not accurate, at least not in my case!

Swanson says on the website 2-5 business days. That is AFTER it ships. They take 10-15 business days to SHIP the product.

I love Swanson!

I have ordered from Swanson for 30 years and found they have excellent products, prices, service.
I have been able to try many different products, because of the price, that would not have been possible without their reasonable pricing. It has really helped me with different health issues that I have been able to overcome.

While Swanson is some of the highest quality products on the market, for the past couple of years they have been sending out items that are about to expire. Supplements I'm supposed to be taking over the next six months to a year expire in a month or in a few weeks. Very poor business practice.

My review must have gotten through because I ordered something, (that I can only get from Swanson), last week and it arrived fresh with expiration dates two years good. Maybe Swanson was getting rid of a lot of warehouse stuff before stocking new items, and I got the short straw. I'm back to ordering from Swanson.

I purchased 6 jars of again Safflower mayo as I can't find it locally anymore and some supplements and otc pain pills. They threw everything in loose with little to no padding. 3 jars of mayo completely shuttered, Glass and mayo all over. Mayo expiration date is in 2.5 months. I called customer service and they wanted me to dig through the glass and nasty mess and keep whatever was not broken. I cut my hand trying to get the pill bottles and the other jars cleaned. The customer service will only replace the 3 broken jars. They did not care about the expiration. I should have just put a return label and send all the mess back to them so they can cut themselves with the glass trying to clean it. Very unhappy with the purchase and will not buy from swansonvitamins ever again.

Never Again

They have the absolute worse return system. Ordered vitamins at a great price that arrived spoiled. They agreed to take them back on their 100% satisfaction guarantee, but it took 17 days to ship from Atlanta, GA to Fargo, ND where the return center is. Then customer service says it can take up to 30 days to process a refund after arrival. WHAT?! But she would be so nice and issue a refund now that would take 3-5 business days. They like keeping your money unless you push them

I ordered 5 supplements (for only $20 which is usually one on amazon) on the 30th, said it would come April 3rd, came on April 2nd. Really great experience and no this is not a fake review, I think of that a lot when I look at reviews because so many places do that. I'm writing this because my experience was great and nobody ever writes a review when there's not a problem as is seen by the rating on here. If they were really that low then they would be a scam website.

Swanson sent me an easy order after confirming that I had canceled the order. UPS said only they could cancel an order in transit. I contact them and they said there was nothing they could do that I'd have to wait until I received it then refuse delivery. This ties up my money for at least a week while I have to do all this plus I have to run it into town to the ups store to send it back because they will just drop it and run. Meanwhile Swanson will have use of my money for a week gathering interest when I have proof it was their fault. Their vitamins don't even work which is the worst part. I'll purchase locally from now on so no one can "accidentally " send me too much stuff.

The company is the worst. I return some vitamins back for a refund and they said it would take 2 weeks. I email them after that and they received my package. I wait a couple more days and I talk to someone else and they couldn't find it. This company went down the toilet. ITS ALL BS NOW! Stay away!

I have tried to order products from Swanson twice now. Both times there were issues with an out of stock item. Both times I received no notice that items were oos, & there was no notice on the web site. Both orders were processed & money taken out of my account. They also do not have order tracking avaiable to the customer.
Both times I have received misinformation from customer service reps. One told me that if an order is out of stock, the order cannot be completed, yet both times my order was processed & money taken. I was told that emails regarding the oos item were sent to me, (they were not). I was told to check my spam, (I did, no emails). Funny that I had no trouble receiving the several emails they sent asking me to place another order!
I have been told by the company that I am making this up, that I am misunderstanding or not seeing information, ( I am not). It is no wonder that Swanson receives so many bad reviews.

Do not purchase liquids!

1. "40% off most products". Didn't work, even when product was not in the exceptions list...
2. Shop Runner doesn't work.
3. When ordering liquids, the liquids are not packed in a padded bag, so if they break. You're on your own.
4. When notifying customer service and pleading for a replacement that this time should be packed properly, they send the replacement. Packed just the way they did before. Luckily this time the liquids weren't all over the place...

Terrible Customer Service
January 27, 2021

So I bought some vitamins online and waited and waited for months for it to show up. Sent an email. No response. Finally waited for an hr on live chat to speak to somebody and was told that my order was canceled. They didn't give me a reason and said they don't notify of cancellations. I now have to go through my bank statements and see if they refunded me.

Dodgy company DO NOT USE!
