Rude business owner

Keith the owner of the store is WORSE in terms of customer service. Customer have no right to question about their purchase. If you do have issues, he will threaten to close your account without trying to solve the problem. Stop! Doing business with this arrogant person. There are a lot of fish dealers online willing to give good service.

Sick undersizes discus
December 2, 2022

Under no circumstances should one buy discus from this vendor. Most of them arrive undersized, and sick.
I have ordered three-3.5 inch discus. Only one arrived 3.0 inches, and healthy. Leopard discus was 2.75 inches, covered in ick, frayed fins, and malnourished. Blue snake-2.5 inches,malnourished, ick.
The packaging was poor, and the heating pads cold on arrival, even though I picked them up directly from UPS in their service center.
They are being treated, but not clear if they will survive.
The vendor refuses to remedy the situation. He states that he promised live arrival, and they arrived alive!

"I just got my order from Somethingsphishy and all I can say is don't order from them. They didn't use a heat pack in the dead of winter and when the parcel arrived the water in the bags was 47 degrees. Negligence on their part. Needless to say everything was dead. They also charged double what it costs to ship for shipping charges ($85 instead of the usual $55 others charge) which they refuse to refund even though they didn't ship properly.

Months later

Months later and my fish are thriving! The first couple of weeks few fish were still showing signs of stress and then there were few that arrived 100% healthy! Of course I lost a couple out of my 20 assorted shipment but overall high survival rate and very satisfying outcome and quality!

10 pack discus

Ordered, and delivered when promised, however a couple were pretty beat up, torn fins and what appeared to be scraped up, UPS guy was an idiot, i tracked package, meet ups at curb, as he's looking for my package, he was kicking it, untill i spotted and said something, im sure all morning box with live fish was just brutalizing by incompetent ups driver, ive lost 2 of said discus, no fault of anyone, but leaning towards the ups guys inability to care for a fragile package. And i have to comment of the packing of fish, pretty darn good, considering ups failure.

Half deaf Discuss
November 19, 2022

Half of the fish came dead or died within 24 hours. We bought 10 discuss and 5 are doing well after 2 days. I'll update later if they survive much longer. The ones alive look healthy. He will not include cost of shipping for refund!

Somehow my order arrived well-packed, and everything is fine with the fish I ordered. I will keep you updated as I, unfortunately, read all the bad reviews after already making an order. I hope that my fish won't die as it happened to many here. I think the shop should be attentive to its reputation and interact with the unsatisfied customers and do something about the bad service, as it strongly damages your business.

Horrible
September 8, 2018

Made a second order before first was shipped. The owner Keith, first off was very rude and came right at me about even making a second order. The fish came. I was at work, my wife unpacked them and floated them before I got home. She mistakenly placed 2 bags behind some boxes and I asked keith what happened to the other two. He came right after me, very angry. I later found them 2 days after. I let him know, apologizing and explain what happened. Permanently banned now, just tried to let him know I was sorry. Should have known from the start getting a hint of his attitude. Most fish covered in fungus and very stressed. He makes sure he picks all the good review's on his site. Hopefully customers in the future see my message and take heed here. Waste of time and money, does not treat anyone with decency one bit.

Received fish today
March 26, 2014

Received fish today. Three to be exact. The albino was fine, the black was o. K. but the gold one was suppose a red color. I emailed keith (no relation to me) about the problem and told him I was going to contact my credit card company if he did t make the problem right. I went to his web site awhile ago and he has a block on all of my emails, so I cant get in contact with any of his sites.

Horrible experience

Ordered five different kind of angel fish. One showed up dead, another died as soon as I put in tank, and one died two days later. Two survived. A week later, my fish got the worst case of Ich. The fish came packed in barley any water. I emailed him that day stating what happened and he said to email him with pics and the kind of fish they were. I did that hour, but never saw a refund. I emailed him back, played like he never got an email. I re sent email said it was too late. The owner is a crook and very rude. Talks to you like your a piece of garbage. Not only that he sells sick fish. Plus he does not update his site you check out and he will email you back saying he doesn't have it or the quantity you ordered. Whole thing stinks. Do not order Freon this place. Sick fish. Terrible service. Stay away. You will end up with no fish.

I am not typically the type of person to rewrite a review because I know this can hinder the business. However, all of my fish died soon after I received them. Some a day after and other a week or two. The discus did look good for when I got them but they all died. Clearly stunted and possibly had the discus plague as well. They didn't eat when I got them but I assumed that was normal... then they all died. I even bought the food off of their site!

Completed the order a few weeks ago. All 10 fish are in great shape and thriving. I like the last 5 better than the first 5, but it would be difficult to complain considering the first five were "assorted" and very inexpensive. I intend to order a few more then reduce my fish count over the next year through craigslist. Assuming all continue to thrive. So far I ordered 5 assorted, 1 Brilliant Blue Diamond, 1 Ruby Red Mosaic, 1 Red Turquoise Discus, 1 Brilliant Blue Mosaic, 1 AquaGreen Scribble all 2-3 inch. Some are very pretty. One is down right ugly, but my wife likes him. The best review of discus fish is a picture. I include at least one shot of each of my fish below. I have included duplicates of the same fish where different lighting enhanced colors. Both the smallest, red with white face, and the ugliest, yellow with dark trim, were part of the assorted delivery.

OMG I have never had a more difficult experience ordering online before! This company advertises low prices and it seems like it may be a small company, I like to support smaller companies as opposed to the larger places. What a mistake! I received my order and my fish were very very sick. I emailed the owner (Keith?) and he refused to even acknowledge that I had a problem. He isn't reasonable at all. I've never been so insulted. I just now saw all the negative reviews but I wish I had seen them before I put my trust in these people. Now I will have to reverse the charge on my credit card. Such a hassle!

Ordered 8 discus fish on 19th June 2017 for 220 $. Today 21st June 17, reached home all dead. Such great packing!. There is no contact # in the site, nobody online anytime. I've given message and waiting!
Ill add my review if they mitigate.

I was informed by Keith these would be re bagged after not being picked up by UPS. Packed in such small bags. No room for oxygen if any. Bags were very deflated. Fish were starting to decay slime coat and fin pieces. One warm pack, 86.00 for shipping. And they pride themselves in their packing technic. Re evaluation needed. I own a pet business and if I were to do business like this. I would have people wanting all their money back. I will contact the BBB and turn them in. It is a true scam. A pet store business owner.

We received our discus fish today. We ordered 3, one purple, one blue and one red. The purple was barely alive and died hrs later. Being new to owning these fish I wasn't aware so I emailed to let them know. Keith responded with a very condescending way. He talked to me like I was stupid. Here was part of his email "When you buy seeds, the packets have a picture of the plant, not the seed. You do not look now as you did as a toddler." When I read his smart-$#*! remark my blood boiled, I will not be ordering from them again.

Buyer beware. I purchased A 10 pack of discus. I put them in my tank and 2 days later every fish in my tank was dead. Do not buy from this terrible site. Trash trash trash

I do look at other reviews and yes I was one of the ones skeptical to order with all the bad reviews but I can honestly say that I have ordered fish online for years and NEVER have I ordered fish on a Tuesday and they come the VERY NEXT DAY!. Yes I will be back, all my discus were healthy with no issues. I am no relative nor am I getting paid for my review!

DO NOT BUY

I placed an order for 3 discus. I received 2 sick discus and 1 bag of water! No joke. They refused to refund or replace the missing fish, were insanely rude and told me they refused to communicate. What kind of business is this?!

I placed a second order with different details to try and catch them out as I was not prepared for this on my first order. I wanted to be able to prove they were dodgy so no one else had to go through this. However I did receive the right amount of fish however one was DOA and the other died a few hours after. They did refund me this time but the shipping is more than the fish in most cases so I'm still out a lot of money and no fish.

0 out of 5 fish with this supplier. DO NOT BUY! Horrible people with $#*!ty service and sick fish. It's not worth the money to gamble.

I don't understand how business owners can get away with this.
