Purchased a flight on March 19th it is April 8th I am still waiting on my $261 refund that was issued the next day after I purchase my tickets and they will not let me speak to a manager about the issue I've had to go through my bank to try to get my money back and now the bank can't even get a hold of them to get my money back. Worst website ever never use them!

They canceled my flight instead of refunding me my money right away they said they could guarantee me a better flight I just had to pay a lil extra. I Paid the extra. They never sent me a new confirmation number. I called everyday they keep saying 24hrs I should receive it. After almost a week later I get a call saying they have to cancel my flight AGAIN. & a refund should be in my account the next day. Another lie. I still have not received my refund of 1187. 90 for 4 tickets!

SCAM!

This site is a complete SCAM! I booked a one-way flight to Vegas which was $68. Called after their page booted me out, and the representative was SO $#*!ing RUDE! Even hung up in my face after not finding a flight under my name. Please don't waste your time in this site. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! The reviews are right, customer service representatives are beyond rude and annoyed that you caught on to this scam! I reversed the payment immediately and reported FRAUD! Stupid $#*!es won't have my hard earned money!

Do NOT use this service! They will add-on charges to your flight and that $50 flight will suddenly be $250 (just use the ACTUAL airline website or Kayak/Expedia). THEN when you cancel within 24 hours they will charge you! BE WARNED! STAY AWAY!

I usually am thrifty when I buy flights and am generally not picky and just deal with the issues that come with cheap flights. However, Smartfares was just NOT worth the savings. I never received a confirmation email from them until I called repeatedly and then they sent me the wrong information-- another person's flight entirely! They double booked my flight and refused to give a refund-- I had to call my bank to get it refunded. Dalton in customer service is mean and yells at you... just wow. Also, good luck trying to speak to a supervisor. They just hang up on you.

Never book with them stay away, big scammer

Please everyone keep out of booking with this company is the worse. After calling multiples times and hang up the phone and ask to speak to a supervisor I finally could have done something they were trying to make me pay $150 for a ticket that they canceled. I have to spent more money purchasing a new returning ticket with another airline. Please the customer service there is the worse and a thief.

Smartfares sucks and will steal your money

We booked a flight for my family of 5 on Copa Airlines through Smartfares to Costa Rica. Because of the Covid restrictions and having to be tested on both ends of the flights we decided to cancel our trip, because we could not risk testing positive in Costa and having to Quarantine there for 10 days. Copa customer service said they would refund the flight, I called Smartfares and canceled and the lady said she would refund the flights and call me when it was done because they were very busy. Smartfares was very unprofessional and would not return my calls or emails, until after about the tenth email and they just said the flights are non cancellable. That's it no explanation, no nothing. I have sent email after email and told them I either want a refund or travel credits and still nothing. Please do not ever buy tickets with Smartfares they will steal your money and will not work with you. I hope they see this review and have some sort of common courtesy and contact me and make this right, if they do I will do a follow up review. My original confirmation # is NBWLG5. Please $2200 is a lot of money to our family.

I am at a loss of 3000usd because of their great service. First I had to cancel my ticket because of the incorrect name(though my account with smart fares says correct name) that they ticketed with the airlines. Second, they portrayed it as my mistake as I did not check my name when they asked me to acknowledge my itenerary. Later they cancelled my ticket saying airlines will not allow me to travel, guess what, they said they will refund me 800 odd dollars(which I never got) as opposed to 1700$ I paid for my ticket. Now, for the second ticket, they charged me 2200$. After a month, when asked about the refund status, they said airlines is in loss and they are not sure if I can get refund and they call and ask me if that is okay with me. LOL. I was like am I joke to you!

I request all, and is my sincere advice if ever you make a travel plan, please do not go with smartfares. They are great robbers.

I got a confirmation email of my flight and got to the airport on time. Once I was there, LATAM informed me my flight was canceled and they did not have my contact details because SmartFares did not send it to them. I bought a new ticket on a different airline because my COVID test results would expire the next day. I contacted SmartFares and they denied it was their fault, I did not get any email from them on my spasm/junk folder informing me of the cancellation either. SmartFares only allows me to fly before the end of year, I can't transfer my flight to any or change my destination. This is theft!

SCAM

Site will say you have paid but it is actually an "authorization" from what I am assuming due to the small amount it initially charged my card. It gave me my reservation number for tickets. Next day, I go to the airport and was told that there was no reservation. So I called their support number and when the "representative" answered they asked for my reservation number right? I gave that to them and they said yes we have you here. But they didn't know my name or where my final destination was (RED FLAG). The supposed representative kept going back and forth with me and then I was like why are you guys scamming people, he hung up. I then called from my brother's cell phone and got the same exact guy. Currently in litigation. Please do not get scammed.

I had switch my flight through them that I originally purchased and tried to get flights close to the same price that I purchased. I know there would be a difference between the 2 ticket purchases but not Quadruple the price. When you have a credit to so much you try and use that 1st to help out the the other price not stating that is will cost you an additional $465 to do a simple task. Customer Service for this is a Joke. All I wanted to do was use my credit for Future Air travel not buy a Car. They Say that they will find a lower price for you but Argue with you stating that you are getting the lowest price since the fares are going up when I was on their site, the major airline site and they still did not want to do the right thing. Will never use them again. All they are is MONEY Stealers and everything to boot. I will never even given them 1 star because they do not deserve that either but I have to but not my choice on that.

Ripped off

We booked a flight Dec 2020 for March 2,2021. I received an email from EVA air (feb 3,2021) saying that our flight is cancelled for March 2. I called this agency (smartfares/TraverlersHelpDesk) where I got my ticket from and I was told that EVA air was only allowing to refund a "Base Fare" which is 770.00usd (the actual ticket is (1271. 98usd for 2 person SFO to Manila)

I called EVA air and I was advised that I should get the full refund because they were the ones cancelled the flight.

This is very much unacceptable because the flight was cancelled due to pandemic and still trying to charge us some fees after all what is going on with this earth? They're reason was because EVA air only refunding 770.00 but when I called EVA air they said they will refund all of it even to the penny.

They are saying there is a 24 hours free cancellation term. But it's not. On the international flights they take a 100$ fee per ticket. Even though I canceled it only in 12 hours.

Firstly, the agents literally sound annoyed to be on the phone with you... no matter how pleasant I have been when I have called in they have always had a horrible attitude. Red Flag.

Secondly, they literally were taking advantage of the pandemic jacking up the price on flights hundreds of dollars when forced to rebook through them after quarantine closures.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE. SCAMMERS.

I booked a flight after reading that they offered a refund if you cancelled within 25 hours. I called to cancel and was told it would cost 200.00 to cancel the reservation.
I went ahead and cancelled anyway and HOPEFULLY will get a refund minus the 200.00.
Agent was not helpful.
I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking. Live and learn

DO NOT USE SMARTFARES
December 30, 2020

I booked a flight on 12/3/2020 which could not be confirmed. I was told on 12/4 I would received refund it 7-10 days. I called back on 12/15 and was told that the previous rep should have said 7-10 business days but she would contact refunds department and that it would be refunded within 24 hours. Called back on 12/17 and was told no one was available to help me but would call me back in 24 - 48 hours but have never received a call back from anyone. I have been told in multiple phone conversations and in emails with a representative (Arvy) that the refund has been made to call my bank and of course the bank shows no refund ever submitted. Here we are on 12/30/20 (17 business days later) and I still have not received a refund so I have had to file a dispute with the bank. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Purchased 4 business class tickets on Jan 2020. Since then flight has been cancelled and the airline refunded smart fare.com a company of LBT Travel. Since then I have been calling them few times a week, emailing with the customer service manager and no funds. More than $13,000 that they are holding illegally

I booked with them in the morning and tried to cancel same day. Then charged me 60$ and they could do whatever they want and you have to accept otherwise you wont get any of your money back. When I went to cancel the reservation was still pending but magically as soon as I asked to cancel, I was told it was confirmed. How was it confirmed and i have not received confirmation email. It is all about how to take customers' money. Believe me. Deal with airline directly as I learned the hard way.

I purchased roundtrip tickets through smartfares to fly with spirit. I ALWAYS take screenshots for my own documentation and I AM SOOO happy I did. Thank God I did because I never received ONE email! I called them to find out where my confirmation email was and my tickets, they told me that Spirit cancelled the flight! I asked them why wasn't notified about it and they didn't even answer. So I asked for a refund and confirmation but I NEVER got the email. I asked them if I should call spirit and they said go ahead. However when I called Spirit my information was NOWHERE to be found, the Reservation number smartfares gave me was fake! I finally filled a dispute with my bank. These people are frauds and the customer service is awful! They can go to hell! Anyone saying they had a great experience are frauds!
