Smartfares is not a legitimate company. Their email address, phone number, and chat support go nowhere. They sold me a bogus ticket on Copa Airlines and when I had a problem, someone named Elgyn spent 30 minutes trying to convince me to change my flight date. When I finally demanded a refund, he refused to correspond with me at all. Avoid at all cost and if you come across Elgyn, you'll know that you're not getting any help; cut your losses at that point.

Such a horoball customer service, I have seen with all of their associates. I bought my ticket from them. My airline canceled the flight so she can't give me money back and I agreed to give them another chance and a few weeks after same airlines "Ethihad" canceled the flight. She told me that if 2nd-time airline canceled the flight, we will provide you full refund but their all their members 10 time hung up the phone and I spoke to a person, he was telling me you have to pay 50% fees and we will give you only 50% money-back which is bo$#*!. Send many emails but no reply. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE ANY TICKET. Such as OWFUL customer service.

They got my business by redirecting me from another travel agency's web page. I was over billed 200$ and not until I refused payment did they contact me. (3 weeks later) They still had not booked my flight! Watch out! Bad deal these people.

This website is an absolute CON, they are charging in the name of the pandemic. They will show you cheap tickets online and then call you to tell you that they have to charge you extra because of over booking. Basically they leave you stranded on the airport. Please stop buying from them, they are coning so many people, let's spread awareness and bring this business down!

TL; DR: AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU ABOUT CANCELLATIONS AND LIE ABOUT DOING SO

I booked through this site and they claimed to have cancelled my booking and sent me an email the day after I booked and my credit card was charged. They did not send me an email whatsoever, and blatantly lied to me saying that they did. I checked all of my emails (including spam and trash) and of course it wasn't there. They claimed that an automated email, which in actuality confirmed my flight was the cancellation email. The email literally did not mention any cancellation or refund whatsoever. Additionally, up to almost a month after the charge, there was no refund pending.

My friend who used the same site at the same time had her flight confirmed while mine did not. Now I am forced to purchase a plane ticket for double of what I originally paid for. Had I not called them, I don't think I would have ever had a refund initiated. Needless to say, I will never use this shady and unethical site again. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this disgusting company. They do not own up to nor try to fix their mistakes and will attempt to make you question your sanity.

Please reconsider using SMARTFARES as a 3rd party travel agency. Their website hid a 'sneaky seat fee', when I went to pay, before I could approve/decline, it charged me a 200$ seat selection fee. Because of this, I went to cancel my flight within 24 hours. They 'approved' a refund, however it's been 33 days and still haven't issued my refund. Their BBB ratings have 1.2 stars out of 5. Lots of people complaining of them not issuing refunds. I reported it to my bank, US BANK, and they are giving me a refund thankfully and disputing the charge as fraudulent. I still haven't received my refund from SMARTFARES, despite multiple calls and them saying "the refund is approved, please wait and be patient". Please reconsider using them, 2nd and 3rd party travel agencies, if they promote and support such an unethical subsidiary company. Book flights directly through airline.

Review will take too long to write. Totally let down after couldn't fly with flexible ticket. Zero assistance from customerservice@ travelerhelpdesk.com, emailed 8+ times over 3 weeks. Total Disappointment, Will never trust Smartfares.com or Wego flights ever again, thieves in wolves clothing!

I had a flight booked through smartfares which was cancelled by airlines. On contacting the airlines they confirmed that the ticket will be fully refunded as it was booked in the USA and mentioned on their website, However when I contacted smartfares they wanted me to pay $400 as cancellation fees to them and said hey cannot refund the full amount. Very deceitfull and unfair business practice. I would not be using their services again and would also not recommend to fellow travellers.

NEVER EVER purchase tickets from them. I (without reading review first) booked ticket and due to covid had to change the date. They charged 277$ for changing flight date (Etihad was charging only 180 but their system will not accept, everyone can guess why) and then later when due to COVID i had to change/cancel, i was told i have to shell out 460$ if i want to get refund (NOTE: ETIHAD SAID THEY WON'T CHARGE ANYTHING, I SPOKE TO THEM FIRST). So all money gone to Smartfares cheaps. I asked to give me credit and they gave me only 1 month to rebook. HOW, ON EARTH, CAN I BOOK WITHIN ONE MONTH WHEN THERE IS SEVERE COVID SITUATION GOING ON. But for them, nothing matters. Can't even say ZERO customer service, this was NEGATIVE 100 point customer service. They are trying to make money in this situation also from customers and that too, HUGE money, not even reasonable amount.
NEVER FELL IN THEIR TRAP. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WITH BUYING FROM AIRLINE WOULD BE AROUND 20 TO 30$ MORE. I LEARNT IT HARD WAY. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND DON'T BUY FROM AGENTS. BUY DIRECTLY FROM AIRLINE WHO WILL SUPPORT CUSTOMERS IN TOUGH TIMES, THESE CRAPS WON'T

Just do not use SmartFare. They are a total Bogas & Scam company. They will offer you a very low price, but the next day they will start calling you for more money. They'll charge your card multiple times. SCAMMERS! Be aware of them!

I a bought a ticket flight on April 9 and In less than 24 hours was cancelled because the airlines didn't confirm the reservation so they told me i would receive my refund within 7-10 business days. Today April 26 I'm still waiting for my refund they've told to kindly wait for another 7-10 business day since this is already their expected time of processing refund so for me to receive my refund I have to kindly wait for literally a whole month this is ridiculous

I wish I would of read reviews before booking! This is my first time ever flying and had the worst experience with these people! They are the worst! I've trying calling multiple times and they answer and hang up, once they do decide to answer they are rude and don't help at all! They were trying to make pay $300 per ticket to cancel and I once I told them that was to much the girl miraculously was able to change the price to $100. Which I was ok with paying whatever they give you flight credit that allows you to only use with them once I tried to rebook with the credit I had which was $750.00 they charged me an additional $300 because supposedly the tickets had gone up but that same day frontier send me a receipt with said the ticket was only $613 and I still had a credit. What the heck happened to the extra $300 and remainder of the $750? I called and they even wanted me to email them what frontier had sent me because they were shocked I had received something. But never resolved anything I try calling and they no longer answer. At this point I don't even know if I will be able to board my plane! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

On the site, it says no cancellation fee before 24 hours. That is a complete lie, I tried to cancel less than 30 minutes after I bought ticket and they said I would have to pay 50 dollars. And the guy was super rude, grilling me on why I wanted to cancel flight and trying to convince me to pay 35 dollars per person at that moment and he would give me a free suitcase. It sounds like complete fraud and I do not trust this company.

Stay away from smart fare, they are scam artist. Dont give them your credit card number. They charged me twice for one ticket and didnt return the full amount. They never answer, they lie and They promises something and they dont give you an email and they want you to take thier word for it. They never do what they promise. I got stock twice in Europe because of thier scam.
