I have spent almost three hours on the phone with Ring people in the last few days merely trying to return something sent/ordered in error. This is after I purchased the right product and it was rec'd.
The customer service with tech for installs are great but the rest of these people don't listen and just don't have the skills to quickly fix easy issues.

Does not work. It recorded a delivery, I got the notification, could only see the UPS truck pulling away, got home and package was gone, it recorded nothing. It was mounted less than two feet from my mail box, it only recorded the mailman once. I returned it after 11 days. Support is useless. DO NOT BUY this product.
In order to use the ring it requires an annual fee. Otherwise its a giant paperweight. Theres nothing you can do, if the fees jump to a sky high rate but throw the unit away.

Don't buy this over priced piece of garbage. Spend the additional money and buy a secured camera system. I chatted with the ring tech and he/she said the ring isn't a secure system then tried to blame the Internet provider. Really?
I brought 3 flood cams for 800.00 and paid 750.00 for hardwire installation and they NEVER work are off line all the time. We even went as far as getting another ring router. I am telling you save your time and energy and safety and go with some other company, this product is total GARBAGE, customer service says you have to reset your cams so you have to crawl up a ladder and push a button, total bull$#*!... I really really wished it worked...
I have a ring device attached to my front door, I also have other cameras above my garage due to the ring at my door does not cover my garage area. My truck was burglarized at 3:17AM. The sheriff's department came out and documented the crime as well as taking fingerprints, long story short I tried sharing this crime caught on my other camera I uploaded onto YouTube, and because the video is not taken or shared by a ring device ring decided to remove that video although they say they are big on crime, I beleive they re only big on selling their product then they are in solving a crime, that's my two cents, and in closing, shame on you Ring for censoring videos that otherwise could help solve a crime, hope that makes you sleep better at night!
Not only can I NOT see who's at my door when I am not home - I can't even see them when I am AT home. It's basically useless for anything other than seeing what happened after the fact. So, if someone is on your porch, you'll get notified, but 90% of the time you won't see what's happening until you review the video - which now takes even longer to process than before. It's also annoying how many steps the app requires to even GET to the live view.
I'm currently seeing alternatives if anyone has suggestions.
I purchased a used one on Ebay. It was still registered to the previous owner. I called their customer service number. Someone in india picked up. I asked for tech support and was told to send the item back to the seller. I reminded him that they claim if you can prove you purchased it the tech can register it to you. He told me that tech would contact me in 48 hours. I guess he mean't 48 days. Don't buy used or new Ring Doorbells. Their customer support is crap. D-Link customer support is outstanding! Tech is available within 5 minutes of you calling them.
Don't waste your money. Slow to connect. Poor sound. Blurred vision when it rains. Doesn't pick up everything. Be warned don't buy. I learned the hard way!
I've had it six months and it no longer works. Customer service is non-existent: all they do is send you links to troubleshooting articles you've already read. When it did work, the lag time was inexcusable. By the time you could connect to live view the person is long gone. If they are there, the sound connection is a garbled mess. There's no wifi problem, but Ring appears to believe your doorbell should be in your office attached to the router. I've been telling them all the steps I've taken and what is happening (or not happening) and they keep telling me to read the same links, despite telling them I've already tried these steps.
I ordered a product from ring and they never had the decency to even send me a confirmation email. I am a clergyman and need security for my dwelling. After many many phone calls and lies from the person I was talking too they told me I just might if I was lucky get a tracking number after a week. No tracking number ever came and now its two weeks. I tried to cancel the order and nothing has happened there either. They lie lie lie and I lost 199 Euro. How can I get my money back?
Update! Ring has offered to refund all of my money! Amazing, I am thankful they are trying to accommodate me. I will let you know when I receive the refund
Paid quite a bit $$ for exterior these cameras. They go off at all hours of the night when a moth flys in front them, laggy takes forever to connect, low resolution (720) when you consider Cameras have 2k 4K and 1080 today. Have called customer support and they keep telling me to try the same thing, with no success. I asked them to return my money and after several rough phone calls I was told I was getting a call from the legal team!
I also reached out to Intellihome to get e refund, they are ignoring me.
Bought a ring battery doorbell. I have a super wifi system... but it takes way too long to respond. If you expect to see someone at your door when you are home or are away from home forget it! By the time you can get live video they are long gone. If we had not bought the little chime units it would be useless!

This thing is garbage. It's great for notifying you that there's movement, but when you attempt to see that movement it never connects. I have it hardwired into the electrical and the router is near it. Ring doorbell is a piece of sh! T. Spend your money elsewhere.
I would give ZERO stars if I could. Customer service is a joke. They do not stand behind their products and instead offer a "discount code" for you to purchase ANOTHER of the same piece of junk that will break in just under 2 years. They do not offer to repair anything or even take the time to read your email exchange, just keep offering the same thing.
Our Doorbell Pro needs the front plastic piece replaced over the camera lens. THAT IS IT. They do not even offer that much for product support. Instead you have to purchase NEW.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy from ANY other company. I'm now trying to get rid of my floodcam, 5 motion lights, the ring doorbell Pro and cancel my yearly subscription. I have invested all of that and they still do NOT care about all of the money and time invested.

It was a good company until amazon bought it and stopped improving it. Its what they do. They buy something making a name for itself, make a quick buck and kill the growth. Typical amazon play.
Have had this ring doorbell for about 6 mo. I hate it. It works hardly ever. Set for it to pickup movement and only picks up right in front of camera a few feet. App upgrade is horrible and since last upgrade the camera is cloudy. Waste of time and money. Will not buy another.
